Just a minor nitpick, but while the goal of the WSE is to get the most damage as possible while avoiding diminishing returns it doesn't mean that 40% Boss will always be better than 12% ATK or even that a certain amount of Boss is always equal to a certain amount of attack. It largely depends on the character and their current stats. In many cases your goal is to actually balance the two so 1% ATK is roughly equal to 4% boss. Aiming for this balance is what the optimizers aim to do (while taking into account IED) iirc.

Yep you're absolutely right about finding the balance which is something I pointed out in the video. As for 1% ATT being roughly 3% Boss damage applies mostly to regular servers where %boss dmg is more valuable due to the lack of the Reboot passive. cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/610582575781511213/730637806480916490/image0.jpg Here's a link to an optimization chart and how effective gaining one extra line of potential for each stat is in increasing your overall damage. X axis is showing intervals for getting unique line of each stat, like 30% ied 9% att 30 boss, and Y axis is showing the % dmg increase.

So what if you happen to land 30%Att POT on secondary ? Do you keep it change it for %Boss ? I’ve heard from alot of players the multiplier of %ATT is far more better than %Boss if you do land 30%ATT POT

This is awesome! I had no idea what to concentrate on with potentials last (failed) DMT. This is perfect timing before the re-do DMT in two days. I'm on Reboot, so thanks for explaining the difference that you want to focus more on %damage lines in Reboot than %boss dmg lines in normal servers. I have unique pottential on my CRA wep with 9% and 6%damage lines, pretty good for now but I do want that legendary potential. More mesos down the drain... this game's sch a gamble.

800+ cubes later and still can't even land on 2 line m.atk% on a weapon, emblem, or secondary. Someone tell the cube god to give me better luck.

I suggest yo have 98.5 ied cap. Because damd reduction from 1-20 defence is like a 20% damage boost. The diminishing returns from ied also relevt mire percent damage you do do kets say boss has 300 dedence. So 98.5% ied will leave the boss at 4.5 defence thats almost true damage. While 96% ied 12 defence. 12 defnce is roughly still 20% reduction or less while 4 defence us like 6% reduction maybe more. So you get to do 15% more of you total final damage do ied is good if yoi have enough

Thanks for your videos! been watching since your gear progression video came out sometime back. It really helped me understand the numerical reasoning behind getting ___ over ___, instead of just taking what everyone says at face value. I just wanna ask about the %IED values that you quoted though, since for non-GMS players it's a lot harder to get %IED. Do we still need to aim for 93-96% IED? I understand that the requirements for GMS vs non-GMS bosses are different. If so, what would be a realistic number for a early to middle-stage player? Thanks!

If you're doing bosses like CRA, I would recommend aiming for about 80~85% IED at least. But 93~96% is for the end game bosses :)

im a lv 226 shadower in reboot, so for my WSE I should mainly aim for att%? my current weapon has 13% att, 10% att, junk 3rd line, but I'm currently only at ~70% boss and 55% IED lol don't have IED or boss lines on my WSE, just a mix of att% + stat%

Right now your biggest priority seems to be getting more IED which I would focus on heavily to get it up. With 55% IED, you can't even do CRA bosses that have 200% PDR. 55% of 200% PDR is 110% PDR that you're ignoring, which still leaves 90% PDR on the boss. So your damage will be reduced by a whopping 90% on those bosses. Like I also mentioned in the video about %Boss, there are many ways to raise it passively throughout your progression, so I would definitely just focus on getting your %IED up, and you can focus on raising your %ATT next.
