Brill pleased you liked. I'm extremely pleased with mine, I try not look at the bike with rose tinted glasses, but for me it ticks more boxes than it crosses, particularly the more I ride it. Let me know how what you think once you pick yours up and good luck with the new bike 👍
@@terrysmith-NC750X Will do Terry though the mud grey colour I have ordered isn't due until August unless the dealer can source one already in the UK which is a pain but hey I'll have to wait.
Really interesting idea…..something well worth considering….I have found my trickle charger wires are perfect at the bottom of the frunk, having them there, keeps it out of the way, and anything in the frunk is on top of the protected cables….if cables are at the top, you could snag them…..one thing I cannot understand is the two side clips on my battery cover, are most definitely screw in…..hence my huge issues in trying to uncoil them, the other three are clips….anyway all sorted, I can use some Velcro if needed to hold cover in place…..brilliant ideas Terry you are coming up with…thanks for sharing
Cheers Karl - are the screws n the cover plastic - the reason I ask is that on the side cover in the video the top one is the push pin type and the back one is the screw type - I wonder is they mixed and matched them when they assembled them - picked out the wrong pot, as both fit.
@@terrysmith-NC750X Terry, hi…..yep I think that is what happened, the top two clips are fine, you just press and out they pop, as with the lower one, but….and to much frustration, the two side clips that hold the cover in place, are screws, they have a Phillips head….I could not see that at first….bit annoying, I am not that hands on, I do try, and read the manual…..my back ground is Computer Graphic design and Geophysics…..I would say Terry, the manual is a tad thin ….I could not find anything on back brake adjustments….I kind of know, but I like belt and braces approach, we are talking getting the brake right and the light switch activator to work….one trick I use to get an idea that the rear brake peddle is spot on, I get my motorbike boot, place it on my foot peg….while bike on centre stand…then stand back and look to see if your boot slides easily forward…ie you are not having to feel if the brake peddle is too high or too low…..luck would have it, mine is just right…but a visual aid really helps…..next thing I am considering getting are the tyre pressure sensors….a good brand that show you the pressure and tyre temp on a handle bar set up…..hehe….plenty to think about…Terry your approach to showing what can be done, is really good, i and others owe a big thanks to you and your knowledge…..right the warm weather coming to Jersey, 16C today…so will be out on my bike more…cheers mate, have a great weekend
Hi Terry, I tried it yesterday and fed it through as far as the cable length would allow me to . The Optimate plug comes out from the rear of the riders seat. It’s not ideal, but I’m happy with it; and the cable is loose and not snagged. Thank you 😊
Hi Terry. Another great video, thank you. I’ve now done almost 300 miles on my new bike and loving it so far. From my short time on the bike I can relate to the comments you’ve made about it. I’m looking at getting some hand guards in the hope I will benefit more from the Honda heated grips. Is this something you’re looking at? It appears Honda don’t make them specifically for the NC750X so it would have to be an aftermarket fit.
Hi fellow rider, I too have a new bike….returning after 41 years….yep that long…I was 19 when things changed for me…..fine now…anyway I bought GIVI hand protectors, really good…I have GIVI engine protectors and fork protectors….my front fender extender, decided to get that bolted on….not by me…I am inept at that sort of thing…I am looking at tyre sensors, might be worth while….but to be honest there is only so much stuff I can put on my handle bars….my NC is the grey colour, very happy….one footnote, I added a side stand plate, which is fine I guess for soft ground, but….with much worry, on the driveway, the lean angle is very much reduced, easy to knock bike over…..so it’s coming off, all trial and error…..enjoy your super bike, I really love my birthday present from the wife, just need decent weather…..I live in Jersey, so will be sunny very soon……….I hope….cheers
Hi John - yep hand-guards are something I'm considering. The bark-busters have brilliant reviews and seem to provide excellent crash protection. They are expensive but the plastic frame type guards are not as good in my opinion. I've not got them yet, need to save for them and I may think different once I get them, but its the bark busters that I'll be buying. My only minor concern is that you have to remove the handle bar weights that sit inside the handle bars to fit them and that may result in some vibes through the bars. The reviews I've seen don't mention this and we will see once I get them. Will be a couple of months as I've just bought a Tutoro oiler and will fit that next when it arrives.
Thanks Terry and Karl. I’ll do some research on Barkbusters and Givi as suggested. I thought my 21 years since last bike (I’m now 63) was a while but Karl beats me hands down 😂
