Ey Aldeee Verzeihen Sie mir ich bin gerade etwas dicht Aber ich war heute in Dreschden und hab die ganzen rekonstruierten Gebäude gesehen und es war einfach nur geeeil, einfach ultra geil Absolut klasse wie du (oder ihr? Idk) mit diesem Kanal die Leude aufm Laufenden haltet mit den ganzen Rekonstruktionen und so. Und historische Architektur generell. Des is einfach nur geil und außerdem wichtig und richtig❤

Die dreifache Verwendung des Wortes "geil" (schon beim Schreiben bekomme ich Fingerspitzenausschlag) weist dich als .............. aus; ekelhaft.

So…all of this is being done to restore the historical integrity of Potsdam to show it as it was before the train wreck that was World War 2?? It’s fascinating and wonderful to see this classical architecture making a return. I guess Potsdam was, like Dresden, a Royal City and these buildings should be back where they were before that bombast of a government that held sway between 1933 and 1945. I am so looking forward to seeing this for myself when I visit Germany again next year. Keep these videos coming, they’re great. 👍

important to know in this case is that the area where the palace is today, and the one left of it, were just empty space for most of the post-war period, because the gdr used it mostly as parking space. the area next to the church shown in this video used to be a defunct college building. basically, its not just about restoring history, but also functionally about revitalizing the area as a whole, because that space is where potsdams citycenter was originally, and it lacked one without it.

I was just viewing a video on the demolition of the horrible yellow building that used to be on this corner. Hard to believe it was demolished 5 years ago now.

Gute Frage, ich weiß es auch nicht genau. Viele sind aber sehr weit fortgeschritten. Danach geht es auf der anderen Straßenseite mit dem nächsten Block weiter. Ich werde berichten. 👍
