Ordered up some stickers. Been watching lots of videos. Nobody wants to put new crank seals in my old 272. I will learn how to do it myself. While im in there, figured id replace the the hoses etc. You have helped me a great deal thru your videos. Knowledge is a wonderful thing to have. Thank you again.
Hi I like watching you working on chainsaw and trimmer you teach me a lot greasy shop yes will buy you sticker as you a lot of no how wen it comes to repair these items scott cheers from melb /Australia
I think checking/dumping fuel is a good first step; beats taking a fuel mix bath. I work on medical equipment and routinely use the ultrasound to clean and sanitize some small parts. Since there are other tasks to be done with the same job, the parts are in the cleaner while I do the other things. Thanks Scott! I have some shopping to do; "later".
I guess I haven't been dumping the fuel because I don't know yet what direction the repair will take. Today on my repairs I'm just dumping it right away and seeing how the things progress. Thanks for your input.
@@TheGreasyShopRag Well, it is a pretty slick trick the way you empty the machine's tank into your funnel bucket and then have it to use later if its OK.
I used to be a big fan of the older Poulan chainsaws. But they really started pumping out some low quality stuff towards the end. I use to walk into Tractor and cringe when I would see the Wild Thing models.
Hey Scott I apologize for putting 2 comments in this section but I had a question for you. Have you ever seen a diagnostic break down sheet like in PDF or something else breaking down the steps in diagnosing a chain saw or weed eater etc.. I'm trying to make one based off your videos, sometimes I get so frustrated that I can't figure something out quickly for the customer. I figured if I made myself go by a set of guidelines such as you do in allot of your videos it would help. Also the VA pays once a month once I get some money brother I'm going to buy some of those stickers for my tool box. Thank you.
Question Mr. Rag.......Do you ever need to install the other odds and ends in a carb kit? I'm talking about those little aluminum bits and tiny clips that come in the kit. I don't even know what they are for.....thanks!....Later
I need your help. My craftsman 3.3 is not oiling properly. The pump pumps fine but barely any oil goes down the bar. It just pumps out and runs all over the bar nuts and stuff and drips everywhere. I got this saw used and noticed it doesn’t have the sheet metal pieces that sandwich the bar. Is this saw supposed to? It’s like the oil needs to be redirected through the bar hole better
@@JohnDoe-ud2cc I don't remember that bar design but I wonder if the oil feed hole passes all the way through and it in fact does need that chain guide plate.
I know your a busy guy, but wjat is your small cordless screwdriver. Been wanting to get one but not sure on brand. Not the gun style the small one size of normal hand driver
@@TheGreasyShopRag lol, I specifically bought the Craftsman because of the switch placement! Just a matter of personal preference I suppose... I also don't tear down carbs every day so I may be less discriminating
Pull On and On and On! Only issue I have with those is when the owners buy the 12 dollar Chinesium Carb , filter, gasket, fuel line kits off of Amazonian and wonder why it doesn’t work!
I think the answer has to be either stihl, husqvarna or echo. Echo makes durable saws that cost less than the other two brands and comes with a 5 year warranty so I'd give the nod to them.
