Everyone makes mistakes, the question is what will you learn from it. What I learned from this mistake is that I will NEVER pour concrete when it's this windy ever again! Enjoy
Marcel has definitely stepped up and has been a value part of the team. No one can ever replace Bugs but he definitely has the potential to be a solid finisher as long as he doesn't fall back into his bad habits of being a no call no show and proves he can be reliable team member. Best of luck to a 2022 season.
As a contractor, we’ve all made mistakes. And your right most won’t ever admit their mistakes. I was brought up to always be honest and admit your faults. We are all human and far from perfect. Keep on hustling and I can’t wait to see what 2022 brings you and the crew!
As you said at the end, it’s hard to understand the pressures of running your business and keeping a schedule. We’ve all been right there, at some point , and you pulled it off 👍
You’re a unique bossman in how genuinely morally solid and decent you are. If I was a concrete guy near you, I’d be applying in a heartbeat. Boy I’ve had some bad bosses and ones like you show me how I’m trying to be one day
The satisfaction to once again see a concrete pour from you & your guys Ryan! Awesome intro by the way! It’s gonna change things up for the new season. I’m just a freelance photographer from California & have never poured concrete in my 23 years of living but I absolutely love your videos! Much love too all of you & blessings to your new season!
I been addicted to watching your videos it’s so relaxing seen the tear downs and then the fresh concrete I’m a mixer driver my self from California hope you have a great season!
I'm bored and depressed so I figured to come and watch pretty much every single 1 of your videos on both pages to keep me distracted and to keep my mind off of the sadness and dark thoughts.. you're always entertaining and always find a way to make me laugh every time so I appreciate that more than you know Ryan.. and I'm sure I'm not the only one who uses your videos to help them when they're dealing with some hard times.. and on behalf of us all I'd like to say we appreciate it! Thank you!
Thank you Ryan for being so transparent at the end.. just goes to show everyone that even 20 year vet contractors aren't perfect and sometimes you just have to dig down and work thru it.
Thank you for the videos! They are great to watch. I went threw a pretty bad break up, I was heartbroken. Not working at the time due to ill health, it was all to much and your videos helped me. I’m in construction myself in the uk. Watching how USA do things especially the different states it’s really cool. Keep up the great work. Again I would like to say thank you!
Ryan I can’t imagine second guessing you on your decisions. It is your business you have built and you do what you have to when decisions are made. Good looking pour!
Great job once again , despite the wind . You probably know this already , but you need a small sand bag hanging from the center of your tripod, helps the tripod from falling over on windy days.
Your such a great boss/ person the way you involved Jr with the block was awesome way to boost his confidence and making him feel accomplished I'm sure
You uploaded this video at the perfect time. So I’m 16 working for a small landscaping business, dad and son. I was told today we were starting at 8. The boss told me at 8:04 his son was coming to pick me up. It’s currently 10:05 and I’ve been just sitting at home no messages or calls. Pretty sick of it. Edit: just pointing out its amazing you show up, are you before your workers. Something so simple as a owner. It really shows you at least care about what you do, shows trust to your employees as well.
I work at Knight's precast and I love concrete just watching you makes me want to do some work concrete work love the channel been watching for like 8 months
Weights on the tripod legs will help keep it from falling. This is the same thing I used in the desert for communications equipment. Hope it helps. Great content! Keep up the awesome videos.
I used to pour concrete when I was in my teens and loved it!!! We had a BIG driveway and it was hot and also windy we were finishing it before we got done pouring it, yea the boss was a little stressed, we all were and also tired no lunch that day. Would still be doing it but I live in Michigan and can’t afford to not work for four and half months. Love the videos!
My favorite to watch waiting for fuel at the yard in the mornings. And Ryan can we please setup a go fund me for mr Bobby as someone w lung issues just breathing can be a chore. Appreciate you Ryan
I'm located in northern Utah. We poured a basement and garage in the morning and 100 feet of sidewalk. The wind was blowing around 20mph all day and it was terrible!! So I feel your pain my man. The only thing worse than pouring in the wind, is when you're short handed and start losing a floor.
Ryan, Grayson is my son… thank you so much for the shout out he loved it!! He is definitely your biggest fan from Ohio, and maybe even the Midwest lol you made his day, thank you so much again!!!
Turned out great! We deal with windy conditions too up here in West Virginia so we know how wind plays a factor in finishing concrete. The key is keeping top moist for making it easier to seal up and broom nice! Like you said its a long winter and funds get low and have to make payroll! Nice job
Great job fellas everyone stepped up and went beyond to knock it out I've been a subscriber since a lil after you started the channel and enjoy watching down here in Jonesboro Arkansas
I must also add that I found out that my dad and brother also watch you.. you got 1/2 of a family that watches you and enjoys the work you do.. my brother loves when you make fun of Darryl the destroyer and so does my dad and my mom watched a couple of videos and she appreciates what you do for Darryl Jr.. and we all appreciate how positive you are all the time
You know at the end of the day you made the job flawless it looks great. A story for you to tell yrs from now but you got her done and that's all that counts Ryan.
Man, nothing beats a lunch date with grandma! It's nice you got to be there too, Ryan, especially after a stressful day as a boss. You got to talk it out with your momma, I bet, which I'm sure was a good thing for you. Thanks for all you share with us. Peace.
I've watched every video and get excited everytime I see a new one come out! I keep trying to talk myself into pouring a small sidewalk but it doesn't look like easy money 😕 😂
Ryan we had that same wind storm in Pennsylvania in April. It was not a fun day, Lol. I was on a roof 2 stories up doing a repair job and the customer kept saying are you sure you want to be up there right now. I persevered and for it done, but WOW! Just figured I would let you know I struggled also. Thanks for the videos as always.
That was ballsy to pull the trigger on that pour I’ve seen many slabs get capped or replaced because of wind damage to the surface but you got it done and can check that job off your list Beautiful job nonetheless Cheers from Nova Scotia
For the wind to be blowing hard the audio still sound good I’ve been watching when it was only 3.4k subscribers I love my job to oh btw that video you made about being Rich and then you showed your family I loved that bro FAMILY is everything but God is first keep on getting that easy money and all you guys be safe Godbless
