@@DasCayman here’s a cool video with the 718 RS Spyder around the ‘Ring in Germany. With a driver who’s well known for his driving. It’s in german though. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sPk5BuBy0g0.html
Thank you RU-vid Lords for recommending this video. It was a pleasure to watch! This road would be fun to drive my S2000 on but we don’t have roads like that down here in South Florida 😢
Dude. This machinie is rowdy. I love how you enjoy the car and never fail to tear it up on some beautiful roads! I have no money right now, but I've been dreaming about a 981 Boxter Spyder for a few weeks and something about this 987 just has a different mystique to it... absolutely incredible! Can't wait for more epic videos in 2024!
Hell yeah dude. I remember when I was younger watching RU-vid with no money for years. Played videos of my dream cars all day. And now here I am enjoying on of Porsche’s most fun cars for the roads. 981 Spyder is a great 1- Porsche car. All the amenities of modern and still fun AF. And don’t let anyone convince you the gearing on a 981 is too long. Got to flog one for a summer and all those people just under-drove the car. Cheers!
@@DasCaymanthe video was an EXPERIENCE to watch immaculate driving, although this is off topic how are u able to afford these Porsches? Any advice for a senior in hs about to graduate
Just found your channel yesterday, subscribed, and like the fact you know how to just enjoy driving a car..so raw. Just enjoying the pure driving experience, not complaining about lack of tech or showing off a parking garage full of cars that have PPF even tho they are never driven. As weird as it may sound, watching your videos gives me a chance to pretend it’s me experiencing the fun. Hopefully one day!
So happy to share the experience with you. It’s what I loved growing up in high school on RU-vid. Gumball 3000 and EuroRally POV’s. It’s what inspired me to work hard in life. And now here I am… living the dream. Cheers my friend
Controlled oversteer has got be the best feeling thing ever, To just let the cars tail out and let it fly has got to be the best thing ever. I really cant wait to get my drivers license and try some drifting of my own😅
It is, but I have only done it in the winter because I do not have a car with 300++ horse power. Also in the winter you can do it without wearing out your tires :)
Man, I did not want that to end. Driving 8.5 or 9/10s in that car on that road was totally irresponsible, but dammit I don’t know when I’ve had that big a thrill on RU-vid. Outstanding, video, car and driving, thanks!
The convertible takes some of the "seriousness" out of the car, so it's more relaxing and enjoyable to drive at the limit. You never feel like you're on a time trial, but rather just here to enjoy life and the perfect non-track sports car.
Happy to share the smiles! If you really want to smile check out this lightweight flywheel video... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o4peLanjAvk.html Appreciate the comment!
I recently got into a new career and have been playing with the idea of a sports car.. for the price I don’t think you can beat this. The sound, the shifts, the revs, and even the heritage. It really has it all.
Well for the same price as a 15 to 20 year old Porsche Cayman / Boxster you can get a 2024 Toyota GR86 or Subaru BRX with similar performance .... But still people say it is worth paying for the Porsche, because of the feeling of how it is to drive :) (and also that sound of the 6 cylinder boxer engine).
DasCayman: thank you so much for your driving and your enthusiasm! There is nothing more lame or depressing than most of the "driving" videos on BaT these days - short shifting all the way up to about 45 MPH in 5th gear with their hands permanently stuck in a cupholder or texting position. They only remind us how many great cars are now in the hands of used car flippers and / or people who have no idea how to drive and never should have owned them in the first place. Subscribed!
I appreciate that! I'd love to shoot videos like this all day long! Don't want to draw too much heat. But I really wanted to show people what it was like to 'actually' drive this car... was so tired of not one video showing what it's like to actually use it...
I once had the pleasure to drive a GT4RS in Tuscany during euro delivery. Amazing car and even better hospitality while we were there. These Porsches reward good drivers!! Cheers m8
I was on a cruise in my r56 cooper s by myself today to some better roads. I stopped to get some food and watched one of these videos for the first time and scene how you were driving. So I decided to to the same
@@edgarplnt I’d love to post one of these a week… but I don’t want to raise alarms with the law enforcement and get in trouble. I’d love nothing more than to keep making these and share the drive with what it’s like to actually drive a Porsche… too many journalists never actually show what it’s like to live with. But I appreciate you! When I was 16 I’d watch the Gumball 3000 on RU-vid and fantasize about owning these cars one day. It’s what pushed me to work hard in life :D Cheers m8
my man, u got balls; probably 99% of people in the comments doesn't know how hard is to push this machines to the limit, i have a 997.1 CS cabriolet (with a manual), and i sh*t in my pants everytime i push the car like you; you're a hell of a driver
I have one of those too. 997.1 C2S cab. I would never drive it as fast as my spyder. Chassis doesn’t like it or is setup for it. I use it as my “wine cruiser” Thanks for the feedback!!
Finally got a day without rain here so I took my Cayman out on the back roads for a nice 100 mile run. It's not as fast or powerful as this but still a S&ITload of fun. Makes me grin!
WTF i enjoyed this vid in every second. I drive a 718 GT4 here in Germany and up to your movie I thought I drove it good and close to the limit…. I thought…. 😂 really good driving skills buddy Greetings from Germany 👍🏻👌🏻
Thank you! Was in Germany a little over a year ago doing Euro delivery of a GT4RS. First time in Europe and your country. I absolutely LOVED it there. Was doing HOT laps on the Nurburgring after the engine broke in. Cheers and thank you for the comment!
Thats how you drive a Porsche and that’s what it’s made for. Love the genuine scream at the beggining . Good driving bro, the experience shows. Beautiful road, great timing. Can’t wait to buy one. I’ll watch this in the meantime ;)
Just need to drive within your and the car's limits. These are very easy to drive and when you have them setup right they provide a ton of feedback and communication to the driver.
Yeah it’s a small town. All the locals love it and give a thumbs up. Just need to be respectful of where and when you choose to drive the car fast. Aka not on a Friday at noon or 5pm.
Yes they broke on me during my ownership just casually commuting to the grocery store. Replaced with Numeric. Infact, all my manual Porsches have numeric cables
Thanks I really appreciate that! This car is an absolute peach to drive on the backroads… this car, and the way I set it up… have excellent communication with the driver
