Thanks mate, Probably about 3 hours from start to finish including cooling etc.

It handles the pitting very well. The blasting helps to flatten the pitting. It is the chrome that bubbles up over the rust and makes the surface seem uneven. The shot blasting removes all the chrome and flattens the surface. The actual powder coat is quite thick (by coating standards) and covers a multitude of sins. Cerekote, for example, is much thinner and requires a much higher quality of base material finish to appear smooth. Those legs Kris got done had quite a lot of rust on them. They were nowhere near perfect to start with, but the powdercoat finish was great. if you really want you can get them shot blasted and then hand finish the surface before getting them powder coated but it may not result in a much better finish.
