I continue to be amazed by your content Reza. I find each one of your video incredibly useful to solve user requirements at work.. No other content creator has such precise videos on solving actual practical problems. Thanks!
I use Power BI to manage my Power BI licenses and remove licenses from people who are not actually accessing anything in the service. All manually until this button! Now I can click a button and send a custom approval to the user asking if they still need their license, then depending on the option selected I can remove their license or add them to a list of users who requested to keep the license (then if a user appears on the keep list but still doesn't use it I can take other action later!)
Awesome video. Thanks, Reza! Just Quick question. I have created a powerBi dashboard with power automate flow in it. Now, i have passed the dashboard to powerapps canvas screen. And now if I click on runflow, it didn’t trigger anything. I am sure because the flow first action was “On power Bi button clicked”. Can you help me how could I achieved this in my case
I will have to look at your flow setup in action to provide guidance. I would recommend posting your issue/query with screenshots on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com
Thanks Reza for this video. I keep following your videos and something new to learn as always 🙂 would like to hear more about from spfx & modern list customization as well.
Thank you for following my channel. Modern List customization - as and when new features come in, I will build scenarios around them. SPFx - I have done very little work on.
Hi Reza, its a great helpful video thank you. Are you able to do a video to show how to copy a flow visual button to another page and edit the flow also how to add warning dialogue box to warn as the user click on the flow button

Very good video! Do you how to export a report in PI using power automate but the report has a slicer with many filters? Can power automate filter the slicer?
Awesome video. 1 question. Can we implement PowerBI Automate in such a way that as soon as a new record gets inserted to a input table of the dataset, it will run the flow automatically & create task without any button click?
Im not sure if that is possible with flow. I will recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has done something similar.
@@RezaDorrani Thanks for ur comment. Actually I heard there is some use case to setup data driven alert in power automate. Not sure if this will address what I am looking for. so I asked.
Thank you so much Reza for such an informative video! Would like to know more about power automate & Apps so Do you provide individual training or any link of your courses?
Thanks Reza! This is really great. In this approach, I am wondering whether we can send email alerts automatically without clicking the "Run flow" button.
Very good Reza ... I would like to ask a question about another subject ... If I need to automate the sending of e-mails via power automate, and if in the database there are, for example, 60 items applicable to my conditions, this can bring me outbound problems in outlook (30 emails per minute)?
I believe it's possible but I have not done any work with on-premises systems since 2015. I will recommend you check on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/
Excellent Video. How can I automate the run of the flow in Power BI? I want to daily capture the date and total sales in SharePoint List. So, how can I do this automated instead of pressing the button everyday?
In that case you do not need a flow triggering from Power BI. You can create an automated cloud flow that runs on a schedule, connects to your data source to perform the actions you need.
Hi Reza Super content and you have explained very well. What if we want to send this inform to other user id how can we do that. In this video i see i can send this information to only the user ID who is logged in, but what if we need to send this to different user
In the flow, in the send email action, you can define your users there. You can also get the users from a field in the Power BI Dataset and pass it to the flow. There is no option where user can define a user when calling the flow.
Hi Reza, I watched several of your power automate visuals videos, and they are super helpful. I have followed all your steps to automate a visual with no problem. However, when I run the flow from Power Bi to my email of my visual matrix table, it shows all the columns except the total row. The total row is displayed in the Power Bi visual, but not in the email. The total row is generated from Power Bi, and it is not something that I created. In other words, it is a row with total sum of all the columns that I have. Also, this column is not included in the fields of the ‘power automate data’ section. I wonder if it is possible to automate this visual showing the total row?
Flow gets the data from the power bi data set only. Totals and all would need to be a part of the data set. You may have to write expressions in flow to create the totals.
Hey man, I can't wait to try this tomorrow. What if you wanted to send a task to SQL to run a report from the power bi button? That would be a bit more complicated. Do you know how to do it?
Great video thank you so much ! I need to build a Power Automate flow that extracts data from a Power Bi report (csv or xlsx) and places the extract in a Sharepoint folder. The flow should be launched automatically every day. I have already created a button in the Power Bi report. When we click on this button, an extract is placed in the Sharepoint folder, but I don't know how to make this flow a scheduled flow. Can you please help me to find a solution for this flow ?
I do not have a video on this scenario. I would recommend to post your query on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com. May be someone has done something similar.

Hello, I perform a monthly financial analysis at work. This entails a lot of monotonous work, such as taking screenshots of visualizations in Power BI and manually copying and pasting data from our data models into an email. I then send this email out to whomever needs it. Can Power Automate pull these visualizations exactly how I need them (filtering-wise) and type out the data for me? Ex: Rev YTD is $[enter the revenue YTD from the data model here]. I’m tired of having to type the same things over and over, and I make mistakes all the time lol
Possible. Using a combination of power bi, flow visual & even desktop flows. I do not have a specific video on this scenario though. I will recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has done something similar.
Great vid. How about returning data from a flow? My users have been asking for custom excel exports and this seems like this would be the way to do it if the flow could respond with either the file content, or at the very least, a link to the file. I actually built something similar to this using the PowerApps visual. The PowerApp was essentially a button that triggered a flow that built an excel file, and then launched the returned hyperlink. Janky, but it works. This would be a much cleaner solution.
When you trigger the flow from Power BI, you can build your excel file from flow using the Power BI Dataset, store the excel file (may be in the user's OneDrive) and send an email to the user with the link to the generated excel file. The flow will have the details of the user that clicked the button in Power BI.

This is very useful for my project, Thank you. But is there any method to increase the export data size from 1000 to 150,000. Please let me know I need this for my current project.
1000 is the limit of data being transferred to Power Automate from Power BI. You can always directly query your data source in Power Automate to get all records.
For the 1000 record limit 🗳Please vote my ideas on both platforms: ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=3932dcbb-5e6d-ec11-b820-0003ff4569ae powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/increase-power-BI-power-automate-visual-limit/idi-p/1404117#M27489
Reza, how are you! I'm using your video as a base to do my automation! But I have data in a power BI report I would like to action, I have used Power automate to read the data and send an email to the responsibles from this data. If the responsible has multiple rows, they get multiple emails, i.e. 5 rows, 5 emails/messages . Do you know how to solve that?
Dynamic content should have power bi data which is tabular. You can use html action from that point onwards. Similar to ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VnWg-Eox37Q.html If you need unique values, check ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tp0jLnmKcEs.html
Hi Reza, are you aware of any reason why Power Automate flows will not trigger correctly from an embedded Power BI report on a Sharepoint page? My trigger works beautifully from Power BI Desktop and from Power BI web interface, however when clicking the button on the same report that is embedded on a Share page, the button text changes to "Triggering" and just sits there. Nothing else happens. Checking the 28-day run history of the flow shows it has not been triggered at all, therefore no errors thrown, just no initiation of the trigger at all. Have you seen this same issue yourself? Have you been able to resolve it?
I have not tried this with power bi embedded in sharepoint page. I will recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case others have experienced something similar.
Hey Reza I have a powerapps form and with each submission, i have a power automate flow running. I want to visualize this in a table, such that all my form submissions have their corresponding flow runs beside. Is this possible ?
Probably possible. I do not have a video reference on this scenario. I recommend checking or posting your query on forums in case someone has done something similar powerusers.microsoft.com
Thank you Raza..Great video as always.. I was looking into similar case to trigger flow from PowerBI.. One question, Is it possible to export in ppt for all filter value separately using Power Automate ? For example : In Report, there is a Filter named country (India, Japan, Saudi Arabia) In that case I need to have 3 ppt slides. 1st slide filtered with India, 2nd slide with Japan and 3rd slide with Saudi Arabia. Is it possible using Power Automate ? Any idea Thanks in advance
Thanks for quick reply. Actually there is option to export as PowerPoint which exports single report with current filtered graph (Basically it export as screenshot/clipboard) similar way i am looking but with all filtered values in separate slides..
Hi Reza, I have one doubt. I create a power BI visual and integrated power automate button into it. My Scenario is when user logs in to power Bi, he clicks on the button - A team chat will be created with other random users. I was able to do it, my challenge is current user able to select button multiple times & group chats are being created every time. Is there any way to restrict users from selecting button multiple times ( but only once ) in Power automate or Power BI condition.
I do not have a video reference on this and would have to try it out to provide guidance. I recommend posting your query on forums in case someone has done something similar powerusers.microsoft.com
I will be honest, I have not done much work with planner. But based on my knowledge, you would have to fetch data from planner either as excel export or through Graph API and store it in a dataset from which you could run Power BI reports of. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ng8D5czMCuY.html
Hello Reza, I need to run the flow without a button click, maybe on schedular as a trigger, however i am unable to fetch the dataset, can you please help how to fetch the dataset (currently it is coming from on button click trigger) Appreciating your help
Hi Reza, I created an Export to excel power automate flow in my power bi dashboard, it works completely fine except it creates file only in my one drive folder not in the users one drive as in my power apps flow does, please advise

Hi Reza, Filter( Choices('Relationship Type (Accounts)'), !(Value in colChosen.Chosen) ) . In this case what is the relationship type ? And what is the account ??? I am stuck . please help me out . thank you

@@RezaDorrani If I embed the code for publishing in a SharePoint I won't need those visitors to have a Pro License and if try to use that button, it won't run so I assume they are going to need the Pro License anyway :/ (of course to get into this SharePoint site just can do it with the Company's credentials)
I believe if you sort data in power bi and send it should respect it. If not, then you would need to use flow expressions to sort data. Grand total is a risk to calculate in flow since flow will only receive a max of 2000 records from power bi.
@@RezaDorrani I have tried sort in power bi but it is not working..i have only 15 records after all the filters..if yu have any idea or related video.. please share it.. it was a real time business issue..
