Tekken 8 Jin Kazama New Gameplay Overview - Great Improvement especially his personality. He is using more of Mishima moves & complete control over Devil Jin power.
Actually kazuya (old) moveset was very similar to TTT2 Jinpachi , as tekken 5 showed that Kazuya actually trained with jinpachi And TK3 Jin /Devil Jin resembles Heihachi which he obviously was trained by during tekken 3
@@taylorbee4010 Jinpachi unironically was a good guy. Mishima zaibatsu was a proper company under him which changed once Hei took over and turned it into a syndicate
heiachi was always the cruel greedy bastard. then kaz follow'd his dad footsteps. but kinda mellow'd out a bit on the evil. jin was just anti hero all along. as it should be. he was the new hero n face since tekken 3. taking more from jinapachi and his mother. then those other two mishimas. also i hope akuma comes back to collect on dat mishima azz. for kasumi honor!! 😆😁
@@durrclips746 I think it goes deeper than that, considering the drastic moveset change from T3 to T4 after Heihachi betrayed him, and how Devil Jin became a character of its own, and now this... I haven't seen many fighting game characters get the same treatment.
I like that he uses moves from Lars and Jinpachi. It feels like Jin's starting to see and honoring the good in the Mishima bloodline. Maybe it'll help him become less self-hating.
It's what I was really hoping for his character in this entry. I wanna see how he interacts with Lee and Lars now! Really hope they get decent screen presence to put this positive family dynamic on display.
This would be a good path for his character development. Like you said, it'll help him see that the Mishima bloodline and the powers and skills he gained from it aren't as bad or as evil as he believed they were, just misused for the wrong things. Jinpachi and Lars are prime examples of that. This is crucial because Jin is a perfect hybrid of Mishima karate and the Wind God's powers, of Kazama-style and Kyokushin Karate, and the Devil Gene from the Hachijos. He (and obviously his new teammates) must understand that just simply apprehending or killing Kazuya won't solve the problem; they need to be fundamentally and morally better than the latter.
@@y.matocinos8448 I agree with you, but feel that other than somehow managing to purify Kazuya of his Devil gene, he won't settle for less than another death match. It'll be Jin's redemption to put Kazuya down, but not take the seat as head of Zaibatsu again. That'll probably go to Lars with him and Lee merging Violet Systems, the remnants of GCorp and the Zaibatsu as one world wide mega corp. Hopefully in the aftermath of the finale these semi-Mishima Brothers can do some good for the masses in place of their crazy ass family. Should he live through the fight, Jin can go live in exile on the island he grew up with his mother and take Xiao-yu with him. Maybe Asuka and Hworang too for more familiar company in his frienemy and a distant cousin???
I love how Jin took some of Lars and Jinpachi's moves. iirc they are both supporters of Jin. (Lars having a quote "You can do it, Kazama Jin" on Tekken 8, and reading somewhere that Jinpachi only cared about Jin)
I don't think Jinpachi canonically felt anything about Jin considering they only met once at the end of Tekken 5. By that point Jinpachi was fully possessed by the Honmaru demon with maybe a sliver of his old humanity left. Don't remember how they interact in TT2, but at that point Jin's character pulled a 180° and was closer to Heihachi and Kazuya Do think it's reasonable that up until T6, Jinpachi could have been Jin's greatest supporter after his mother, since they were both honorable members of the Mishima
Jinpachi never met jin, besides when he was possessed there was zero time to bond. By the time jin was even taken in by heihachi to train jinpachi had been buried under honmaru.
Jin finally owning up to his mistakes in the past games (bringing war and chaos to the world and unleashing Azazel) and getting control or a measure of it to harness his Devil Gene powers - much like his father Kazuya in Tekken 4, and then combining the moves of his relatives and even incorporating the Omen Stance from the Tag games. Character development for our boy, and loving that we’re all seeing that for the story in Tekken 8. I love the Rock Howard Angel Wings comparison. Nice touch.
Jin's new move sets and his current move sets shows how much Jin Kazama has developed and evolved over the years. Median Line Destruction (1+2) is a perfect example how the move changed from Tekken 5 to Tekken 8. Another subtle details is Jin Kazama is his return to his heroic form, redemption arc and growth like Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat, Ryu in Street Fighter, Kasumi in DOA, Rock Howard in Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Kyo Kusanagi in KOF and Siegfried in Soul Calibur oppose to his father Kazuya Mishima who has completely embraced his heel run like Roman Reigns and Heihachi Mishima.
Jin still Proves why he is the most powerful character in tekken. Can combine Mishima and Kazama Fighting styles simultaneously. Amd has mastery over his Devil Gene.
Jin here is really noisy, unlike in the previous series where he was quiet. But here I see his friendly nature back where he is no longer obsessed with power.
Loving the new Jin, I always hated how they made him into a power hungry person to the point where you couldn’t tell if it was him or the devil inside speaking through him
He’s not power hungry he was basically an extremist war wasn’t what he wanted but what he felt was needed to bring out Azreal whom he thought was his solution to the devil gene
0:09 that's some character development right here 👏🏻 can't wait to play as my 2nd main , new moves- animations + new mechanics of the game would make it a whole different experience 4sure
@@tabkg5802 I'm going to take a guess and say he might be in as dlc, along with Hei. But if that does not happen, maybe Angel. I really do hope both Kazuya gets that final Tekken 7 Devil form as an alternate.
These people dont like using common sense. Kazuya and Devil merged into one character. Devil is no longer a character. Jin and Devil Jin have merged into one character. What does common sense tell you people?
If Jin and Devil Jin are now one character, that would be perfect. It would make plot wise sense if Jin can now control the devil gene. Also, Jin deserve a transformation like Kazuya.
Not sure about Jin getting a manual transformation, like Kazuya, well, we somehow got that in Tag 2, if your team is Jin and Devil Jin. He still somewhat opposes the devil gene. Notice that in the story, he always only uses a portion of it, also considering in the first trailer, he crushed a black feather. While Kazuya goes full-on devil, since he embraced the devil.
From what I see, Kazuya will have a "Power up transformation" into the Devil, while Jin would only use the Devil's power to execute some moves (mostly Devil Jin's moves and some Mishima style) that he can't usually (sticking to the Kazama style without the Devil transformation).
I didn’t know they implemented Omen Stance like that, though I’d assume they’d make it a one time stance instead of completely changing his moveset, like his mist step
Aside from beautiful evolution of his move set, it also sounds like he has new battle cries at point, specifically his yell at 1:12. May be very minor, but it’s an audio detail I absolutely love just as much as everything else that’s being implemented.
@Hi! Buff Gigas Please? Yeah I’m really still freaking excited that it was Rock Howard Inspiration for Jin Kazama In TEKKEN 8 From SNK 💙💥❤️ Reference’s Rock Howard + Including Heat 🔥 Smash A.k.A Benimaru KOF Special Ability: Super Jinrai⚡️ Kick (EX) move and Combination of mixed with Kazama-style and his Devil Form moves to as well.
I definitely noticed the KOF styles that Tekken 8 has been adopting. I love KOF, and would love it if the Tekken team made a KOF game. But I don't want a Tekken game that's trying to be KOF
I admit, I got goosebumps upon seeing his laser scrapper made its return. I know a lot of players hated it T4 cuz it made Jin broken for many, but I've always considered it his signature move, so I'm most glad it's back.
We also see Leroy's face in the "Smith Coffee" shops in the background. I hope the face is a bit more than the statue, indicating that Leroy's character design will stay...as in Leroy will be playable in T8.
He's done letting his inner conflict hinder his growth. He's accepting his Mishima blood while not embracing it, and using his Devil Gene for what he believes to be the right thing. Cool stuff, I like it.
Jin finally realized power isn’t everything especially since there are things even greater than that. Since he forgot what his mother Jun taught him that there is more to life like fighting to protect others and those that care about you is true strength.
@@Angeljin-Fq5yx Depends on some people who don't care like Heihachi. Besides "A person who relies solely on power will eventually be defeated by power." and they get beaten by those who fight for what's right too.
@@ricardomarquez7730 depends on some people you are right. But you are missing the main point. People who care too much like jun have a major fatal flaw which is called " people who care about others too much eventually lose sight of themselves and get destroyed". They also get beaten by people who care less and are a bit selfish. Since they focus on themselves and are not wasting Thier precious time on people who are useless
@@Angeljin-Fq5yx True and sometimes it depends on the person and situations. Heck even though Kazumi loved Heihachi she had to kill him to prevent the dark future from happening since Heihachi started it all by betraying his own father Jinpachi and then Kazumi had to stop him before he could do worse which failed hence why Akuma stepped in.
@@ricardomarquez7730 Now you're talking my language. You're right. Care for people can be dangerous if not know how to cope with these type of feelings
Personally, I think it clearly shows that with his decorated and combined movesets that were showcased in T8 he has finally able to accept himself as a person once again ever since T3
i wonder if he has so many devil jin moves if devil jin will be a separate character in this one, at this point i doubt it since Jin's going for the whole one winged angel Sephiroth deal now.
Upon looking closer, it might not be that omen stance actually changes his moveset, but you can see the devil wings so it is most likely from his devil form heavens door
I love how he's got devil moves but i hope Devil jin doesnt get shafted. Would be sick to see DJ as an opposite of jin moveset wise, with mainly devil moves and some regular jin moves on the side.
I'm doubtful of angel, dvj would be more likely than her but if he doesn't make it, they could make full devil kazuya playable, he'd need to be toned down of course 😂 I don't mind angel at all but she was a dlc for tag 2, and that also wasn't a canon game, so idk.
I've seen way too many people say Jin's new high crush move is from Dragonuv (d2) or Devil Jin (db2). It's literally Lars SEN 2 from Neutral (which I'm kinda jealous about Jin having since he gets it from neutral instead of a worthless stance transition), and if this move still retains the old properties from T7, then it would +6 on hit, and -12 on block. I feel Jin needs it though, because he doesn't really have any good high crush options outside of d4. Anyways, Jin finally looks fun, and not plain and simple like he was in recent Tekken games. Looking forward to seeing more.
Yea seeing glimpses of Lars in Jin's moveset here makes me tentatively hopeful for his reveal trailer. That SEN 2 and the Ark Blast(or whatever it's called in Jinpachi's movelost)caught my attention. Really need them to just not screw Lars over in this game like they did in 7. His new design looks too good for him to be barely mid 3/4ths of the game's life cycle 😂
@@RevulsiveLooper With Screw Combo's being removed...I'm really hoping df2,1 is removed from his movelist, and he can get his df2 back. Lars needs that move.
i love it so much. he was really selfish before and focused on himself and power, but now he KNOWS there's more to it. he thinks less of power and rather than being uptight and selfish, he uses everything he knows to do good, even if it originated from something he hated (e.g. mishima moves)
I'm happy they gave down + 1 hyper armour, used to love that move but it became pretty useless in 7. And possibly an evasion SS move similar to new kazuya trailer?
Yep because the reason both of them couldn't control their power because of anger, hatred and unacceptance but due to peace, love, and acceptance they were able to control their power.
From the story trailer we got it looks like Jin is gonna fully master the kazama martial arts from his mom's spirit which is the reason he can use the devil Jin powers without fully transforming since the kazama martial arts was specifically used to suppress the devil Jin and is a defensive martial art. In Tekken 8 it looks like Jin will have a combination of the kazama martial art which is the best defensive martial art combine with the Mishima martial art which is the best offensive martial arts combine with the devil Jin abilities. This is the strongest Jin we will get which is ironic since he isn't seeking power anymore eventhough he is at his strongest 😂.
