Whats crazy about the super saiyan blue haircut in T5, it actually predated the offical form for about a good 11 years or so. (From 2004 up to 2015 with Ressurection F) Harada predicted the future.

Here's a few more: - Law has a move called "Rave War combo". "Rave War" was the original name for Tekken - Noctis has a unique win animation where he holds up a bowling ball when you get a strike - Wang has a couple of *Ahem* "unique" intro animations when he goes up against a female in Tekken 5(With the exception of Ling) - Whenever you did a specific move with Jin in Tekken 6 and before, if you pressed d+1+2 after it hit, he would do a unique ki charge. This was removed in Tag 2 EXCEPT for the move df+3 interestingly. - "Dean Earwicker" was the original name for Steve Fox in Tekken 4 before it was changed due to test audiance reaction. The original name can still be found for one of the Tekken force soldiers in Tekken force mode.

I had no idea Jinpachi was mentioned ALL the way back in Tekken 1. That's actually mind-blowing 🤯.

Heihachi calling out where he's about to attack is something that's apparently done pretty commonly in Japanese martial arts, especially in a professional/tournament environment. It's a requirement you do so in Kendo during tournaments, or you get a foul - That's just one example off the top of my head.

I miss Yoshi's move copy in T4. I understand WHY he doesn't have it anymore, but it's such a cool, unique ability to steal any move from your opponent mid fight. Would be great to see in a modern Tekken game just for the combo videos alone.

Noctis has a bunch unique about him in bowling: He wears a bowling glove the whole time He has a special strike animation where he summons a bowling ball like his swords He has a special overcharged animation where he doesn't slam face first like everyone else His friends replace the Tekken Force soldiers in the tables behind him and cheer him on Bonus: outside of bowling, on Hammerhead stage, Noctis' friends cheer him on if Noctis is fighting, and complain when he loses

Some additional info on the fun facts I'd like to bring up: 0:18 Depending on how much you have unlocked/progressed, the description on Tekken 1-3's save files would change reflecting it. Here's a list of Tekken 3's save file descriptions as an example: ● *# Characters Left!!* - the amount of characters you need to unlock ● *Tekken Ball Unlocked!!* - self-explanatory ● *Play Tekken Force!!* - Gon is already unlocked, but you haven't gotten Dr. Boskonovitch ● *Use [Character's Name]!!* - When you haven't unlocked a character's third outfit ● *New Battles Await!!* - 100% Completion 2:07 This trick also applies to Combot in Tekken 4, wherein it would make metallic sounds. 6:18 In relation to Raphael, his stage theme in Soul Calibur III can be heard on the first part of Nina and Anna's Tekken 5 ending (where they have a sword duel).

Similarly, in Tekken 3 Ling Xiayou cannot perform her handstand win pose while wearing her secret School Uniform outfit (It has a skirt). I think that was the first conditionally unavailable one.

When I used to play tekken 3 as a youngster , I have to admit I found Jins secret school uniform (1:52) costume really confusing. I didn't understand that he was supposed to be a teenager - he looked like a big , grown ass, muscle bound man to me so having him in a school uniform didnt seem right lol.

Everyone ALWAYS forgets the Law's tag throw is reference to the Tekken 3 opening.

The TT1 xiaoyu save icon!!! Oh man, you unlocked a whole memory from me that i almost cried.

This is so interesting. I knew some of those, but many were new to me. Just a tip, please include the name of the game in every clip, it's helpful! There are many fans new to the series who aren't very familiar with the previous Tekken games.

Fun fact: King's costume at 6:35 is his alt costume in the playstation version of T1. In the arcade version, his alt is a pink dress shirt with white pants. Law also got a costume change from arcade to console, and if you still own the jewel case from the NA release, you can see a screenshot on the back of Law being referred to as "Dragon" at one point.

There's also a couple of Ace Combat easter eggs in Tekken 7. The plane and helicopter that fly through the Twilight Conflict stage are from Ace Combat Assault Horizon and in Arena one of the "sponsors" is General Resource, using an unused logo from Ace Combat 3.

I got another one: Hwoarang has a preset outfit custom in tekken 7 that resembles park’s outfit in urban reign since hwoarang and park basically have the same move set

Kazuya's ending in Tekken 8 caught me completely off guard but I guess some people already knew he was a sneaker head.

That TTT1 save icon on the PS2 just unlocked a core memory. Can't believe I've forgotten about that.

I remember the save icon animations fondly. KOEI did the same thing with their save icons. The jumping Xiaoyu was always one of my favs

I always thought it was weird that Yoshimitsu has an interlude with Raven when he loses, but not when he wins. Seems like it was removed, for some reason.

You forgot Yoshimitsu's Kagekiyo outfit in Tekken 6! It's a reference to Taira No Kagekiyo from one of Namco's older games in the 80s, Genpei Toma Den.

More characters have special interactions when breaking Anna's chain throw! For example, Josie will cry, Leo will laugh.

Kuma and Panda can perform Heihachi's "b+2" if you team either of them with him in the original Tekken Tag Tournament.

I think the win animations that can't be performed on noctis is purely square being protective over their characters, like how Capcom,Bandai and square all gotta play nice with their respective characters

About the “classic parry”, T5-TTT2 Jin actually had one too using his df1+2 (was 2 off of his b1 stance in T5).

Seeing all these animations that were reused makes me appreciate that they’re developing tk 8 from the ground up

Here's some more: In Tekken 3, Jin, Nina and Anna can reverse Yoshimitsu's Poison Wind. Lazer attacks don't work on Robot characters and they can even do a special reversal after getting hit by it. Some characters have special moves during stage transitions or character switches in Tag games. Paul and other Mishimas can reverse the stone head throw by mishimas. Nina and Anna can go into a bitch slapping infinite. True Ogre's fire doesn't affect Gon.

Amazing video! Little nitpick though, that Jin hairstyle in Tekken 5 was a blue haired super saiyan way before we first saw the official Super Saiyan Blue form. It's way more likely that they wanted to reference the regular Super Saiyan and used the color blue to make it legally distinct at the time.

This was great fun to watch! Not much I can add... Tekken 1 Lee can mix up between his d+4,4,4,4 and d+4,4,f+4, which hits mid. He still still has this in arcade Version A Tekken 2. As early as Tekken 2, Lee can cancel his d+4,4 into his d+3+4 unblockable. Hard enough to be considered a Just Frame. JP PS1 version of Tekken 2 has a secret code to see the endings. Ogre's T3 win poses is backwards Japanese talk.
