It's nice to see people celebrate a person instead of downing them. Dionne Warwick, Patti Labelle, Aretha Franklin, Cissy Houston, and Freddie Jackson all thank God for and celebrating the life of Luther Vandross
Okay Aretha Patti and Miss Nona at 7:50 you better go ahead and send y'all! This was truly beautiful Luther vandross You are loved and missed. Miss Cissy Houston you are atreasure. Cissy Houston was understandably overcome with emotion she was very close to Luther as well.❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Rise in power brother Luther!💕🎉❤
he was extremely underrated even though he was highly appreciated. In my book, he ranks the top of his scale along with the likes of Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Denzel Washington, ect, he is the best of his class.
@@Omega1stJust bc there were people like you and I who truly appreciated him for ALL of his greatness doesn’t mean he wasn’t underrated on a greater scale… On the National scale, he should be MUCH MORE RESPECTED, TALKED ABOUT AND REMEMBERED! The man was sheer PERFECTION AND GENIUS! He deserved so many more flowers while he was here and since he’s been gone! My 32 year old self only can appreciate him the way I do bc my parents were megafans. Most people in my generation don’t speak his name when they mention the greats bc they don’t know what he was and THEY SHOULD KNOW is the point. The younger generations don’t/won’t even know of him unless they’re being raised by parents of my generation and the one before mine that had parents like mine who were megafans.. That’s sad bc his music is truly timeless and should be studied. The man was PERFECTION vocally.
we need to clone this man. the world has lost a beautiful voice a voice that can never be duplicated. his death hurts my heart to this day he was a wonderful part of my childhood growing up. RIP LUTHER.
She was likely very overcome with emotion. She was EXTREMELY close with Luther. She sang BV for him & so they obviously spent time together on the road and stage. My heart broke for Ms. Cissy, Auntie Patti, Auntie Aretha & Freddie the most during this time. They were all very close friends of Luther and loved him dearly. Their devastation was nearly palpable during the service.
Patti Austin & Alicia Keys. Freddie Jackson just hogged the mic. Poor Stevie couldn't be heard. Was that CeCe Winans who exited the stage before Cissy Houston?
I forgot that during this time Whitney Houston avoided the microphone since her voice was gone during this time Unfortunely. But I do believe she was here.
