Patti Labelle speaks and sings to the world in memory of Luther Vandross. Patti and Luther will be always remember like the best, emotional speak, very touching.
All the 29 people that hate this video just never know who Luther was. They just love hip hop and all that other stuff going on today. Patti was a good friend of Luther
Luther & Patti....that is all you would have to say...two greats in their own right....one need not know a whole lot about their private lives to know that Luther was one of the most kindest and generous people. Patti has the same reputation, they were and are pure of heart in their music, their message and their legacy...Luther & Patti meant so much to me when i was younger, they were spot-on with their music....the message was always there...Love & Respect...
Just give Patti a mic and let her sing. Whatever comes out of her mouth will be exquisite. Her speaking voice is inspirational as well. RIP Luther! Miss you, but happy that you left behind so much of yourself in your music.
RIP to a true icon. Luther recorded a live version of "A House Is Not A Home" that is permenantly stamped on my soul. That brother KNEW he could sho' 'nuff blow. His legacy will live on eternally in the countless hearts he touched for more than a generation. God bless, and one love...
Dude, chill out! He was what he was, but that was just one fact about him, he was a humanitarian, a gifted artist with a voice sent from heaven, a son, a great friend and I am sure so much more! His gifts to us live on!RIP Luther!

Luther Vandross had a God-given gift in his voice. It was absolutely amazing...incredible. We appreciate the time he was here. It is sad that we keep losing many people because of their health choices. so many people are going to an early grave with diabetes, and other related problems. Let's do better people so that we can live a long time and enjoy and love each other.
God Bless you dearest Luther...I miss you and hear you everyday in my heart....and miss our times in the studio making beautiful music! RIP and be blessed...will see you in Glory dear friend!

God bless God for giving us Luther. No one none had as sweet as voice as Luther. Listening to his voice was like listening to a thousand angels. The King of soulful R&B Luthur. Much love.
I was Luther Vandross' room service waiter at Tropicana Casino in AC NJ, He was kind, respectful, and very generous!! He always made us laugh... "Dance with my Father" was my favorite song because i used to Tap dance with my dad. And my dad passed away when that song came out. RIP my friend Luther Vandross' and my Dad...
Patti knows just how to lighten a mood, with her casual tone of voice. Even though she got passionate with the reading, she knew how to bring it back down. Didn't get too emotional. And the song was touching and smile-triggering.. Thank-you Patti for that great tribute to Luther. A Talent to a Talent. R.I.P Luther Vandross.
The man, will & forever will be, THE BEST male vocalist of our time!! For a white boy, with a blessed voice from god, i belt his tunes out, every chance i hear them. With regards, to Ms. Labelle where do i start....She is, at least in my opinion, THE BEST DIVA we have today!!! This was a class act, on her part, to pay tribute to Luther the way in which she did, in this video. God bless you Luther, i hope you are singing with the angels now, as you so rightfully deserve.

Wow.. watching Luther's Mum (Ida) stay calm and strong as Patti read her (Ida's) poem to her son is so heartbreaking... The pain and hurt she must have been going through. No parent should have to bury their child. "You kept your Promise"... Rest easy Luther and Ida ❤️❤️

Love and miss his earthly presence, but thank goodness we still have his music to play over and over again. Respect and RIP to my fave male R&B singer. Love you LV.
The World lost a great talent, a great man, and a great human being in Luther's passing. I don't know anyone who doesn't know at least one song or have one favorite. The soundtrack of the lives of many of us here on this site and and the world over has been colored by many of his songs. He will truly be missed and is surely LOVED!!
I want to say thank you to the family for letting the rest of the world say goodbye to this beautiful blessed man. I was brought up with Luther and even in to my adulthood, I still had him in my play list!

God bless Patti and Luther, Patti is so wonderful when she begin singing to Luther, tears all over my face, magic and soulful voice. I miss Luther, RIP.
I will always love Luther! There is none other like him! His sound, his music and his style is captivating! I'm glad to have experienced your gift. RIP LUTHER "RONNIE" VANDROSS!
A lot of love for a man that wasn't able to let the world in on his own views. I only know like 5 songs by heart but those 5 songs are pretty important. I'm sure that if is able to look at the world from wherever he is, he'd be more than satisfied to know that we're still singing and dancing to his songs. "If this world were mine" I wish people like him could've experienced that without the ridicule of the world.
