Got an interesting bit of info form a friend in the Toy biz. Apparently Shurikenjin would not pass USA toy safety laws. In fact, none of the figures from Ninninger or ToQ-ger would. So that explains some things.
the tv series is not out yet so that is why the zords have know names. because Power Rangers Ninja Steel dose not air until 2017. why is bandai of america releasing a Megazord when the series has not aired and do not have the names of the zords.
I'd prefer to compare this with previous BOA Megazords than the Japanese version. It makes things slightly more fair, and IMO doesn't sound too biased. And compared to what we got with Dino Charge, Megaforce, and even Samurai, this is Operation Overdrive all over again.
Same here. Power Rangers has been a guilty pleasure of mine ever since they debuted in '95, but I stopped watching them a few years ago (the last one I tried watching was RPM I think), because they've just been getting sillier and sillier to me.
I watched MM, Zeo, Turbo, then quit watching PR until LSR and then watched TF, then stopped watching until Samurai. I hated the acting, but loved the Zord designs. I hated MegaForce with a passion, but liked Dino Charge alright. Ninja Steel looks pretty cool. I like the figures, but the Zord looks horiffic.
Not really like I said these toys are made for highly rambunctious and destructive American children not Adult collectors that's why there's a legacy line and because people said $80 was too expensive for the Japanese version they stopped importing them and selling them state side
this is why i have the older power ranger toys the thunder megazord,tigerzord,ninja megazord,falconzord,turbo megazord,astro megazord,delta megazord and mega voyager even the mystic force and jungle fury zords dont look this cheap i miss the old japanese zords just simply being repackaged for the u.s.
This is by far one of the most disjointed megazords weve had in a long time. And the BoA version is just kinda sad. This is one of those where Zordbuiler wasnt needed. Maybe for kids itll be fun.
Not the first time first releases of PR toys had issues. My Gosei Great Megazord had a connection issue with the snake and dragon. It was fixed in future releases of the toy.
There are Names for The Five Zords are "Red Shinobi/Ninja Zord, Blue Dragon Zord, Yellow Dump Zord, White Zodiak/Wolf Zord, Pink Rail/Train Zord", and I Think those are The Names, but They MIGHT Change it
i know this is super ultra mega late but the zords do have names i guess from the dubbing the red zord is robo red blue is the dragon zord (obviously) yellow is the nitro zord pink is the zoom zord and finally white is in her words "it looks like my dog cody so a codyzord or however its spelled
To all our fellow toy collectors from kids, young adults and old dudes with still young at their hearts! How about the entire Bandai America need to announce an important recall on all Ninja Steel toys esp. MEGAZORD to improve much better details ok?
It started with the Mega Force Zord and has been down hill ever sense. Heck, they even go so lazy that you just stack unimaginative cubes on top of each other, and that Zord is looking way better than this one.
damn megazord started going down around rpm. cause i remember getting mystic force and loving itm but operation over drive was so disappointing. thats the last one i got
I can't wait to see on how BanDai of America going to destroy the Ninninger line of their Mechas and BanDai needs to have a intervention on why the zord builder idea needs to go. Bandai should be ashamed to put the word DX in the Ninja Steel Megazord title because it does not look like a Deluxe megazord like the megazords from the 1990s and early 2000s.
I cannot understand why Saban went with Ninninger for its new series over ToQger. Mech/Megazord is a total clusterfuck (even the Japanese one) and Bandai US has not transferred it very well here at all. Surely the trains would hold more interest in the modern western market than Ninjas? ToQ-oh was a good looking toy in Japan.
loseurillusion15 Ninjas are more marketable than trains on this side of the globe. Oh, and please don't bring up the Thomas thing; trains are pretty popular with very young boys and PR is aiming at slightly older boys.
The average american doesn't have much interactions with trains. Unless a person lives in a huge city the average US citizen will have zero interaction with trains. On the other hand ninjas are currently trendy due to naruto, other anime or forms of media.
They make to many unneeded megazords, like the complete green and black one, I liked how for dino/dino super charge they made extra zords but still. Don't make the green and black ones just us it for better quality and paint.
As a kid, I did that without the Zord Builder and there's literally nothing fun about them especially when they have had to remove so many of the actually fun gimmicks such as the Battery ports in DinoCharge Zords or the shape modes for Samurai (excluding pink turtle zord for obvious reasons). And don't even get me started on the Atrocity that is "Super Megaforce"…
Honestly, I don't see why they had to sacrifice the "door" gimmick for the Super Megaforce. The way I see it, BoA could've kept the doors, but the doors could've had fold-out pegs on them (like on the arms) and it probably would've only cost $2 more.
comparing them is useless. A bad toy is a bad toy make it 5 dollars more and at least make it so joints don't break going through the motions required to play with the damn thing. Its just sad to see it go from a play pattern that worked and could've been mildly dumbed down to this but, even with the qc on zord builders here they aren't so much the issue as the intrusiveness in the design of placement and how they were made IMO.
this is fine for me at least. didnt much care for ninninger and didnt like the zords in that season anyway so i might as well skip this season toy wise. cant wait and see how they do zyuohger and good or horrible they mess up the block gimmick cause they cant mess that up right?
NickonAquaMagna not when you make it with cheaper material and go easy in the paint. That's what Bandai America used to do and only charged like $30 to $40 per Megazord. And the Japanese mechs aren't really that expensive until the line comes to a close.
agree at why Bandai America just use the same mold used by Japanese one and also this magezord just looks too cheap and japan version is still the greatest
We can blame Zord Builder all we want, but it's not the problem with this Megazord. Does it add to the problems? Sure. The problem is it's just flat out junk expected to do more than it's capable of. When the arm broke off, I about freaked out. Pretty much on the same level as Balt did. I was planning on skipping this line anyway, but this review helped me make the decision a must. I cannot, in all good conscience, give BOA money for this line. Heck, I wouldn't take it for free. I'm really bothered by the fact that they've cut so many corners to make this a thing. We can excuse it away all we want ("it pays for Legacy and the 2017 movie lines!") but in all honesty, it's the least amount of effort for the lowest price possible with a price tag that costs the consumer far more than it's worth. Dino Charge won me over, but it was a sign that the quality was going down. Megaforce was alright, if a bit wonky. Samurai was more of the same of RPM and MMPR Redux This? Oh, the mighty have fallen. So much rubbery plastic, parts breakage and it's still the same friggin' price as previous releases? Nope, nope, lol nope. *nope*
So now Bandai America has started doing official toys with knock off quality. Then again I should not be surprised since they tend to do everything worse than they parent company.
This is like the cheap dollar store copycat version. I wasn't fond of the style of the bandai japan release of this, but wow this certainly pales in comparison.
Did it ever occured that the Japanese figure was worse? Every time I watch these videos, it turns out the USA versions are just dumbed down, bad copies of the original. If you have the cooler versions, why do you buy these ones as well? What's the point? It's obvious they will be worse.

A cupule of months ago I just watch both seasons of Ninja Steel, and all I have to say... it was kind of decent at best.... I think the story was a bit slow in terms of pace, and while the characters were likeable, they aren't nearly as fleash out as Dino Charge, the only ones I like were the Blue and White Rangers, Red Bot, Mick and Victor and Mounty, the humor wasn't there for me (tho it did have its moments) and the "Lesson Learning" was a bit out of pace, esspasitly in and action pack show like this. The villains weren't much better, I like Ripcon, its just a shame that he gets destroyed in one-third of the show, and while Madame Odius was a decent villain, I sort of whish that they made Galvanax make a return for the second season. Tho I will say, the second season was a bit better tho to how the story is much better pace, I just wish they did the same for the first season. I also found the battles to be sort of meh. Overall, I like Ninja Steel, tho I can easy say that it is no were near as good as say Dino Charge and its second season. Hopefully, the next season, Beast Morphers, would be good.
I think all the the new megazords are just ugly compared to the old ones it just looks like the designers don't put the same effort like they did with the old ones
I have a lot of hope for Ninja Steel to be better than nininger, but those zords look awful. Yellow in particular doesn't even resemble a dump truck. Here's hoping the show is better than the merchandise.
who agrees that power rangers mega force, dino charge, and now ninja steel are just ruining power rangers, watch ninja steel will get boring and theyll go super ninja steel.
Except, Dino Charge didn't ruin PR. On it's own, it was an improvement over Samurai and Megaforce. So don't be jumping to conclusion. Also, blame Nick for the whole two season split.
i get what you mean why i included dino charge was it was great but nick for some stupid reason has to make everything super thats why i said it ruined pr, dino charge is not at fault, super dino charge is
RedHawk Hero It's only cause they're making it different from the show which I don't have a problem with cause I don't want to see the exact same thing from the show let alone the same designs. It's pretty much a remake of the show, so I get why you don't like the 2017 movie.
I got the Ninja Steel Mgazord today. I can confirm that it is of the same plastic quality as the Dino Charge zords. The plastic feels great, very solid. And he stands very well. He does not have any standing issue whatsoever. My main problem with him are the zord builder ports on the train in train mode, but thats a sacrifice for added functionality and the train doesnt look that great anyway so I dont mind as much. And the dragon looks really cool as a zord. I dont really have any issues with this zord at all. Everything is nice and tight and fits well and looks good, especially in megazord mode.
I honestly kind of miss when Disney was doing PR. Not sure about you guys, but from toys to the show itself, the quality was pretty good, and they weren't afraid to take the core theme of the show and take it in a different direction(usually in a good way).
Wow! You usually get that kind of quality control with foreign bootleg knockoff toys. Either someone needs to get fired, or they need to improve the blueprints for the toys.
I have the Japanese version of Shurikenjin Ninninger, bison King, and Panmaru. Great and fun toys! So, the American version FINALLY come out. This should be interesting...

Jeez, I feels like they got better with the mega force, and Dino charge megazords, then ninja steel goes down. I'm kinda glad I didn't audition for this season. I think most of their budget is going towards the legacy figure, zords, and the new movie zords considering the new T-Rex zords is pretty big.
okay I just noticed that they screwed up on the back of the megazord box the bike with red ranger set has the bike actually colored black and orange yet the one shown is black and green which is probably a later release since everyone has shown the black and orange one not black and green
