Many issues I have with these. 1) They're partformers. You have to break them appart in order to combine them. 2) The final result will not be what appears in the movie. Because they are partformers, it is kinda evident that the Movie version of the Megazord transforms in a non-mechanical way, which makes its translation to a toy difficult. Evident in that the head is PINK, and that the INTERACTIVE MEGAZORD has both feet painted blue, while its shins are black. 3) They're evocative of Bayformers. Many sour memories are brought up because of that.
Everyone's here complaining about the toys themselves, and here I am thinking what the hell were the aliens thinking when designing the zords. It's like they didn't have a damn clue what a prehistoric animal looked like. Sure, the Saber Tooth Cat, Tyrannosaurus, and Pteranodon are semi-accurate. Then you get to the Triceratops and Mastodon...
I just can't stand how every toy I've seen from this movie is covered in that crappy crosshatch design. It's like they wanted to give it the general look of being highly detailed, but they did it in the laziest way possible. That, combined with all the cheap-looking gray plastic on everything just makes it all look bad.
VulpisFoxfire Zachary Low if you see. the number of pairs of legs in sequence. petrodactyl = 0 pair, t-rex = 1 pair, sabertooth = 2 pair, triceratops = 3 pair. and mammoth?/ mastodon= 4 pair.
Glad you got the legs right, I've seen other reviews of this and they got it wrong. Only flaw in your review, is the leg parts on Mastodon and Triceratops Battle Zords misplaced which the others did right.
apparently there were more rocky putties in zyuranger season one's japanese equivalent they're supposed to be like the leader of the putties maybe that's what it's supposed to be even though they've never been acknowledged in pr as such
Remember when Power Rangers Megazords had die-cast and immense amounts of paint? Remember when they had lights and sounds and solid individual Zords? This is pathetic, especially for modern-day design. The paint is practically nonexistent, the figure is a clusterf*ck of fugly, the gimmicks each Zord have are lazy and it's just one huge disappointment. The proportions are horrible it looks so bad (Well, that's what you get for using an absurdly organic character design *Looking at you, Age of Extinction*). Let's just hope the movie does Power Rangers some justice.
If you want a giant size Megazord, Imaginext has one. It's about 2.5 feet tall. Yes, it's a young kids toy, but it is huge, bulky, badass. Proportions are good as well.
First, sorry to hear about your issue with the mastodon, 2nd, thank you for arranging the legs the right way, that's been a problem in other vids, finally, for their cost, why do they feel cheaper than the main season toys??? IMHO, that's a pretty big disappointment.
When lots of people said that the whole set looks like a Mcdonald's Happy Meal toy, holy shit they weren't joking. And $150 for this? No thanks, i'd rather save up and buy SOC Daizyujin instead. Model wise looks cool tho, if there is a better painted and engineered version release in the future i might pick it up.
14:08 That's definitely not the Legacy Megazord, Spada. That aside, I'll wait for these things to be around $60-$80 total. I can't see myself buying these zords for $150, and who knows? Maybe I can customize them after I see the movie designs.
The build able megazord is a made up version for the toys, the triceratops and mastodon aren't one leg each in the film, you want a better idea for the film version look at light and sound action figure just grab that and merge it with the alpha 5 concept art, that's what it looks like.
The toy looks like the manager’s kid just shoved some crayons together and the they said ‘’yep the is the megazord for the movie we are definitely not stupid”
ind say the oppisite. it's a good thing when we compare it to a ninja steel megazord and it's lame and lazy concept. so to me this is a better idea to look more like a transformer like it always had.
Let's be honest here. This toy is not very good. Sure it's big but that's all it has going for it so really not worth it's price at all. Not even for kids since based on MMPR Toys' review upper half does not stay that well together to bottom half.
im sorry but this felt like a cash grab to the extreme! so many losable parts which i wouldnt be surprised if they sold replacements and that ridiculously overprice seriously like i remember buying one of the older megazords for like half the cost if this
It looks horrifying. It's too organic, which goes against the Zords in the first place. Most of the pieces are difficulty to see in the final megazord and it hardly resemble the mecha that the original or 99% of the Sentai zords look. While I'm mostly okay with the individual zords looking and even acting somewhat organic in accordance with their base model animal, they need to completely lose that when it becomes the megazord, which was ALWAYS a massive mech of ass kicking. Also, the Mega Power Sword... it was a simple, albeit iconic sword that came out of nowhere (seemingly sent from on high), but this looks more like some power drill or something and not at all a proper sword. Thanks for the review.
The buyer deserves a little blame here. If you have seen these in the store they are out in the open, baltmatrix could have easily noticed the leg was gone.
covertyankee I've just watched wotafa's T-rex Battle Zord review earlier, and I see no problem yet with his review, despite he bought his at BBTS. Back to baltmatrix's problem, due to the fact the movie toys are sold in open packagings, I also found out that some parts don't peg in or rather snap on like the tough T-Rex legs and head due to its unique and hard to detach connectors.
in this case the figures look like doodoo lol when compared to previous megazords, this ones just meh more paint apps would have made these all look so much better.
Aquaria At least they have articulation, at least they have paint, at least they have detailed sculpting, at least they're DECENT FIGURES. *Sigh* Why do people overreact...
It's gonna take time for me to get used to the new designs but I can see myself warming up to them. The Megazord does look cool, I really like the fact that it doesn't just try to be the original.
You have the Triceratops and Mastodon's extra legs in the wrong spot, you're supposed to put them behind the silver pieces to hide them. And you also didn't show that there's another way to add the T-Rex cannons to the pterodactyl wings. Other than those 2 things. Good review. Sorry to hear your Mastodon was missing a leg, pretty sure you can get a replacement for free because of that.
hmmm...sure its big than your average PR zord but the level of transforming in each fig is like a legend size transformers , and soo much hollow inside less paint apps , too much partsforming(its fine if it had less partsforming ) when combined its sad that it lacks articulation for a big robot....actually for that size so big they can put some good articulation and when transforming for combined mode i wish that they could at least fold /rotate some parts and kibbles inside the hollow parts to minimize the partsforming , i know this toy has many potential but the toy company did not want to do it for some reason? maybe funds? i dont know, just guessing... im still going to watch the movie but not going to buy any of this sad and boring looking figs its just my personal nitpick and opinion guys. if you peeps still want to buy this things go ahead there's no stopping you guys :D
I don't get why they made the Mastadon a leg and the Saber Tooth Tiger the lower torso. If anything they should have been swapped at least then it would be more similar to the original Dino Megazord.
Friendly Metroid theres no existimg molds also its bandai america not just bandai they don't try to but oil prices are the blame for hollow plastic on figures
While I do hope the movie turns out to be good and it's cool that this is bigger than Metroplex... the price really seems absurd. For a HUGE Megazord, I think I'd rather go with the Imaginext playset one.
I like it aside from the Partsforming it has going on for the megazord. I feel I would like it much more if it was all big chunks you transform and attach. But it looks so good, so that's nice
