I heard that Forever Red was supposed to be a movie with a theatrical release. If that is true, it would've been amazing.

Man, as a wrestling fan, that first three minutes hit kinda hard. But I do agree, there should be a separation between actor and character. It’s not fair on the fictional product to criticize it for the actions of a person over a decade later.

These days Taylor actually draws an interesting parallel with Captain Marvel from the MCU. That being said Taylor is an infinitely better character in both execution and personality.

Reinforcements is the one of the best two-parter of the entire series! And the better part is that even though Time Force was very complete at the end, Reinforcements concluded it even more by "curing" Ransik, thus completing his reform!

This was the first season I was introduced, I still have a soft spot for it as it really had some awesome stuff going for it. Mainly the awesome zords, the anniversary episode and the second best teamup episode after the first one. I'd like to have seen what Saban would have done with the seasons that followed.

Things to look at; 1.) Jackie Chan Adventures. 2.) Primeval. 3.) Code Lyoko.

I actually think the Jindrax and Toxica development in "The Master's Herald" really works well for their development because of a very subtle thing. When Jindrax is contacted by Toxica with a message on how to bring her back, he immediately goes shopping for supplies to put the plan into motion. And surprisingly, despite the fact that he looks like a monster and has been present at several battles the Rangers have been fighting, the cashier at the store treats him like he's a regular human being. And hell, when it could've been just as easy to knock the guy away and steal the stuff, Jindrax actually DOES pay for it all. Here's why I think that's important. Jindrax is an orc who was taught to believe that Orcs are supposed to hate all humans. His goal in joining Master Orc's side is to eventually wipe-out mankind. However, we know from the beginning of the movie, that he and Toxica have actually had to live disguised as humans in order to live among society. So in a lot of ways, they've come to understand "the human condition," as it were. But here he is, in broad daylight, outside of his disguise, and for once, a human is not afraid of him, or treating him like a freak. In fact, he's actually being fairly reasonable with Jindrax - treating him like any other guy. Maybe it might be small-potatoes, but I feel like this scene alone handles the concept of humans interacting with Monsters a LOT better than how Mystic Force did it.

It is hard when the actor of the show you love commits a crime and it is completely hard to separate the character from the actor and it unfortunately makes a great character becomes tainted

Jindrax and Toxica, and their story arc as well as their relationship was the best think about wild force and you can't change my mind

Guys just imagine what Forever Red would have been like if they went with the original idea for the battle against Serpentara, the Red Rangers all piloting their Megazords to take down Serpentara, oh that'd be epic. I wish they had done it as a separate movie or something like that, that would have been so epic!

There were a lot of hit and miss moments from Wild Force but, in the end, it was the season that united Wes and Jen, the season that saw legends join forces in way that still resonates with us, and the season that proved what makes Rangers special by showing that you really don’t need powers to be a hero. That roll call in the rain still gives me chills.

I've never actually watched Wild Force all the way through but that description of the ending actually gave me chills

I know that is hard to comeback to this seasson after knowing what Medina did, but I think that it is important to separated the art from the artist, and see the character as it is and no as the person who portrayed. Personally, even though flawd, Wild Force is still one of my favourite seasson.

You nailed another one. Btw, my five favorite chars from this season were, Taylor, Alyssa, Zen Aku, Toxica, and Jindrax (not necessarily in that order). I really couldn't find myself liking Merrick all that much though and Princess Shayla came off (to me at least) as an airhead.

The reason Cole was made leader immediately was because he was chosen by the Red Lion, who was the leader of the Wild Zords at the time. Taylor was only the leader because she was the first recruit but like Jayden in Samurai, she was never meant to stay as leader which is why she stepped aside so fast even though she disagreed at first. There was even a part in the first episode where she was basically like " Well the Lion chose him".

So many things could have been improved about this season with just a little bit better Direction, princess Shayla's acting, and also I didn't like how they got down on all fours to move to battle that looked completely stupid, but for sure a season where the girl Rangers stood out as the better members of the team. Also I think Jindrax and Toxica were a reference to Team Rocket.

Forever red is the best one episode crossover in my opinion. The other one is from Lost Galaxy. The season has good ideas and some good things in it. The angle and some concepts.

As a Red Ranger, Cole had an impossibly hard task in having to follow an all-time pantheon Ranger- Wes from Time Force.

My biggest problem with the finale is because we had Forever Red. When all hell had broken lose the other rangers that were seem this season Powers in tact aren't there. The only thing I can think of is Master Org having dinner similar spells in the other cities but still it's not Tommy, Jason, TJ and the others would be getting a many teams together

I think it says a lot that when the Rangers gave up their power, she is one of the only two who keep a connection to their rangerhood. Like you said, she still has a child like wonder in her. And despite being the most mature, she is the most passionate to the Animarium.

11:37 Master Org ends up being even more twisted and horrifying in many aspects because his backstory, especially compared to a lot of other Power Rangers villains, is one of the most grounded in reality. He turned to evil because of his own petty jealousy, him feeling overshadowed with his accomplishments going unnoticed, and his monstrous sense of entitlement towards Cole's mother. These are very real negative traits that you can find in a number of real life villains and murderers, who basically view the world through the mindset that they deserve what they want even if they actually don't, and they become cruel, vindictive and destructive when they're denied. It's even more disturbing given that Dr. Adler misblamed Cole's mother despite him never telling her his feelings, and it wasn't the Evans' fault for their work overshadowing his, and they clearly still valued him as a friend. And he murders them, essentially destroying his own humanity before turning towards the destruction of everything else out of sheer selfish spite. There may not be any Orgs in the real world, but there are plenty of people who are exactly like Dr. Viktor Adler. ...It's actually also extremely poetic and a dark parallel in a way, given how much Jindrax and Toxica showed a surprising amount of decency and humanity for a pair of beings literally born to destroy and wreak havoc, yet the very human Dr. Adler ends up being so consumed by the darkest aspects of his own humanity that he willingly forfeits it to become even more monstrous than his own generals.

I love you pointed out Rocky. I liked him fine and whole the official listing had Rocky as second in command and Billy in third in all reality Billy was the leader when Tommy wasn't around

Cole is the “Goku” or “Superman” of the Power Rangers: Wild Force team. Not every decision goku or Clark made was great but their respective teams understood & respect them cause they were great leaders!

Watching this video gave me major nostalgia. Out of all the Power Rangers in the franchise this and Time Force Stick-Out to me the most. So it was fun watching this video and remembering where I was as a child the first time I saw this season of Power Rangers Wild Force.

In the Japanese sentai version, the yellow ranger is a dude and did the same thing "drafting" the red ranger via sucker punch.

this was the season that did the best job with the zords. just wish more seasons would give more life to the zords. some have given the zords a bit more than just using them as giant robots. lost galaxy was the first to do it and other seasons like samurai, mystic force, jungle fury, and dino charge have added more to some of their zords but ita usually for a relatively small plot point. its a shame that most seasons generally only use them for marketing toys.

The princess was out of her element and was scared. The fact the samurai mentor was so inept with no excuses on why he is makes him worse we are supposed to think he is a valid mentor while not being a supporting being to his team unlike her. He knows what he was supposed to do. he knew what his mission was he had experience that experience and to still be the way he was in inexcusable.

The idea behind the Jindrax/Toxica relationship was pretty cool, I'll give you that. The execution... not so much, mostly because Toxica was Vypra 2.0: a henchman villain played by a totally wooden Asian actress who can't act to save her life. It's a bit remarkable how they managed to make the exact same mistake twice in 3 seasons!

When you talked about Ricardo Medina's past I remembered that I found Monica May's (Z from SPD) Instagram and she's a burlesque dancer now, there are provocative pictures of her there.

Really enjoyed the correlation between Cole and Master Org, was something I never actually thought about and has made me appreciate my favorite season more, maybe it’s nostalgia but this is the season that left the biggest impact on me as a kid. And damn Forever Reds ending is a disappointment. It definitely makes the Wild Force Powers look like one of the series strongest and since this was supposed to be the last series I suppose that makes sense . Shows how much the Powers have evolved since the MMPR days and gotten stronger. Still would have loved them to play the Theme songs in Reinforcements and Forever Red.

It's not often remembered that this season killed a child character (even though it was a reincarnated animal spirit), and their main villain at the endwas a human, and not just a demon/org/machine/alien/monster. And they killed him.

The isis megazord was named after the Egyptian god which makes sense saying eygptians had alot of half bird people

I watched WF when I was just a kid (8/9 years-old) and it is still nowadays one of the best TV series I've ever seen. I love PRWF! And u know what??? Cole and Taylor were the first couple I shiped! Ok, ok, I know they're not a couple atcually but for me, in my mind, yes, they loved each other!

On the subject of “Forever Red” they wanted it to be much longer, and the finale was supposed to feature all of the old megazords fight Serpentera. However, budget cuts and time constraints from the higher-ups had those get cut.

Jen's reveal and that leather outfit...hell, the whole scene was awesome. And yeah....Jen is the hottest and most badass pink ranger.

I know that in the beginning they weren't even friends but look what happened to Jen and Wes from TimeForce, the same could have happened to them...Cole & Taylor, what a beautiful couple! There good fanfics about them, I love to read it, unfortunatelly they are only "fanfics"...

Hey Disney Brain I was recently catching up on some of your older content and I really enjoyed the Nickelodeon ones! Despite not having many of them, they are a welcome breath of fresh air, and I was wondering if you would consider doing more in the near future?

Disney Brain, One of the criticisms of Wild Force is that it really didn't deviate too much from the source material (Gaoranger). But well, that's a John Tzachor thing. Also, some people have speculated that Danny Delgado and Kendall are the parents of 'Z' from S.P.D.

I totally agree, Forever Red needed to be a two or three parter to really tell the story properly.

This is the only Power Rangers season I've watched atleast 3 times, and I cried in every finale. Also Taylor is bae.

I kinda just wanted to say this. Wild Force has the largest zord count at a wopping 102 (the sentai version) and even if we're only including Wild Force it's still more at over 20. Pretty impressive

I still think Samurai is on the level of Wild Force's level. I wish that Samurai wasn't so hated. I am 19 years old and Samurai was my first full rangers season. It holds a special place in my heart. Samurai is still better than Megaforce.

Despite the highs and lows, I enjoyed Wild Force. Master Orc is a crazier and more succesful version of Vlad Masters from Danny Phantom. The team up episodes are in my top two. Seriously getting that many Rangers to come back is tear-inducing. Jen still top tier Pink Ranger. :) However, like you said, Princess Sheila was a weak mentor. Alpha 5 with the jive New York accent could've been better and it hurts saying that. 0.0 The pollution angle really didn't factor in too much either. In my opinion, Wild Force did well with Cole's storyline, the Zords being more than just machines, and showing that the rangers are willing to do whatever it takes to defend the Earth. I think since the writers thought this was the end they were allowed to put in more than usual. Many later seasons except RPM, don't go into themes of despair and loss very often. Looking forward to your next episode!

You can be honest with us, we all know the highlight of Reinforcements was Jen’s appearance and THAT outfit. The costume department knew exactly what they were doing there

Cole was a good idea on paper, but a bad idea in execution. Medina's acting improved by Samurai (how ironic), but he was quite terrible in PRWF. Most were. The line delivery on PRWF was on par with Tommy Wiseau's productions.

another cool thing about Forever Red is that the Beet...I mean Machine Empire guys were all voiced by other former Rangers. I can't remember them all off the top of my head, but Catherine Sutherland ( Kat ) was one & I believe Walter Jones ( Zack ) was as well...pretty sure Johnny Bosch was too.

Disney wasn't going to give the show runners another two part episode with no sentai footage for Forever Red, after they had already did a two part episode with very little sentai footage in Reinforcements from the Future. They tried to shoot extra footage hoping Disney would change their mind, but they wouldn't budge & the runners didn't have enough money to finish the episode (which was already really expensive with all the guest stars). So they went to Bandai for the money, they agreed but only if they promoted a new toy at the end. So it was one episode, it had several plot holes, it had a crappy cgi Serpentera (that was way smaller than it should have been) being beaten by a cgi motorcycle, and the episode is still a million times better than the Legacy War.

I liked Wild Force, I consider it better than Ninja Storm, Mystic Force and Lightspeed rescue but not as good as SPD and Dino Thunder. The first chapters were very fast, the master org was the main villain of the series but his appearances were very short, Team Ups Reinforcement from the Future is great, but Forever Red and PLOT HOLES, etc. PD: I HATE PRINCESS SHAYLA

One minor detail I don’t believe was brought up in either part of your review: You mentioned that the dynamic between Jindrax and Toxica clashed with the early message of Orgs not having hearts. A common theory I’ve heard is that the two Duke Orgs were planned to be Cole’s brainwashed parents, who had hearts and could’ve reasonably been brainwashed by Master Org. However, with production of the season changing hands, this idea was either forgotten or struck down by the new storywriters. Your thoughts, Disney Brain?
