I was cutting corrugated roofing with a power drill attachment and I was disappointed with my Malco tool. I hope his tool is a good one. Any brand suggestions for an old man diyer. I switched to a diablo 48T metal cutting blade for my circular saw and whizzed right through all but the first panel. Disappointed with my Malco drill attachment. Could be operator error but I doubt it. Not too good for curves though. Good thing all my cuts were straight cuts.
Pretty fast with the scribers boys but 4-5hours by hand...I could do a standard house by hand and would take about a hour hour and a half...with scribers yeah half and hour on a good day! Good on yah mate.
Great Tool, would you please let me know cost, brand and/or if you sell directly? Are you near Flrorida, or can I purchase the tool in Florida... sorry for asking so many questions, :) !! What is the "Aprpiate"name for this tool if I would want to order or purchase one?
That wasn't trimdek by the way! It was monoclad... And I'd scallop that job by hand in far less time than 4 or 5 hours! Can't knock the skills of these guys though, but this video leaves a lot to be desired.... If you want good shear attachments for a good price, go for Malco or K Tool. For standalone metal shears, Makita or Milwaukee...
Peter Staples Turbo Shears can scribe! In fact, you can cut in line from straight to a right angle straight cut! I have the CM left and right jaw! Corro scallops are a waste of time even in BAL zones. Looks pretty though, but you may as well choose a more exotic profile when paying roofers to scribe flashing!
sirswift23 Please post a close up video of someone scribing with turbo shears? and post URL here. If roof caps were not scribed in in cane growing areas, they burnt to the ground, so they made it regulation to put the caps on by the building code and scribe them in as a good tradesman would.
There are a number of regulation methods to use without the need to scribe, but you're right, a good tradesman should fabricate everytime. Though the way the market is, specialized roofers replaced by cheap builders and carpenters who lack skills and knowhow.... There are those who instead of fabricating on site, search the city for a fitting and have never bent a flashing in their lives. I'm sure there videos on the Malco website by the way. If I remember, I'll send one in... Cheers
because to overpriced. . this company will be lost a lot.. will new companys can make this better a better price. .. always is been like that with tools.
