I might be a US Marine Vet, but something about this plane I love. Sukhoi made a very beautiful plane... Bird of Prey for sure. Very cool plane, I am actually building a 1/48 scale Iraqi version for a Veteran Iraqi pilot I met.
The Su-17/22 Fitter is one of the most boss looking aircraft. I am finishing up a model of this fighter in Afghanistan Air Force colours. Thank you for the video.
I saw them flying there as we arrived to the airshow! 2 of them in formation it was really amazing. It was my first airshow of all the time with afterburned jets and this was the loudest sound ive ever heard!
Z nowym uzbrojeniem nie do pobicia przez nowsze szturmowce. Wyląduje pod lasem po zadaniu i pobierze z ciężarówki paliwo oraz ładunek uzbrojenia i znowu start z pełnym zaskoczeniem.
@Colin Gregson Seen the same situation with MiG-25 some 35 years ago. Aircraft was going up vertically, became a small silver dot in sky, but rock bang playing was not heard because of afterburner noise! Impressed up to today.
It shows how it really is. Pre-flight checks take time - and most of them were done off camera. Here also probably waiting for ATC to give them clearance.
Hammerschlägen M bullshit. Many parts were made in Ukraine. Checkalso where Su-25 was manufactured. Do you know that all soviet helicopter engines were made in Ukraine .. the same with main gears. Whole production of Antonow aircraft was and is in Ukraine. Ukrainians and other soviet union republics would smack your face for saying „Russian”. True story.
Many decades ago when I was a College freshman Air Force ROTC student, we visited Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, and happened to observe an F102A taking off. It shot straight up off the runway several thousand feet before leveling off. Awesome.
@@Sokx41 The Deuce was badly under-powered, even when empty. The only way it could fly vertically was if the pilot dove the craft a bit first. It was also subsonic in level flight, but could reach about Mach 1.25 in a dive. I think most ended up being sold/given to the ANG, various foreign countries or used as target drones. The F-101 Voodoo, developed and produced in the same time frame as the F-102, was a much better aircraft in most regards. It could easily exceed Mach 1 in level flight and was fast enough that Mig fighters could not catch it. When they were phased out of active service, most were given to the ANG, replacing the F-102. Their biggest problem was a tendency to try to pitch up under certain conditions and that problem was never completely solved.
glad you like the mig22, it might be the new german fighter aircraft since merkel likes doing business with the russians so much. and germany hasn't been paying for their part in nato! for many many years. the poles are free because of the American support ( and air superiority ) don't feel too bad, we have merkels here too, they're called democrats ( which is slang for communists) like obama and clinton worst politicians in our history, just like merkel, such an embarrassment . but now we have a strong President who is building the military back up since dumbass obama did all he could to weaken them. I thought we would never have a president as bad as carter, then obama came along. carter is so happy he lived long enough to see someone take the reign as the worst president ever, now he can die knowing he was only the 2nd worst president ever. god bless the poles for rejecting communism, maybe the germans will learn to do that someday too?
@@toddbuh , do you not exaggerate the importance of the United States? It's been a long time since I've seen so much bragging and arrogance. If anything, Poland was liberated by the soviet army in 1945. Then the polish statehood was restored. You're naive. You think that cooperation with Russia is bad by definition. I wonder why. Because it goes against the interests of the United States? It's funny... Or can you at least try to explain to me what's wrong with socialism? However, I doubt your abilities on the subject.
Riccardo Smirnov i cry Bullshit, its a cheap outdated shity fighter that the russians produced and exported years ago, but they sent them up against western fighters and got their asses beat down , they lost !! Ok pal , you lost , so take your Su and git, also the mig 29s lost too against f15 eagle in the air war over the desert, that tells me your su 28s are going to loose to and your 35s are going to loose too 2 western fighters that are superior to russian fighters
When they pulled onto the runway - I was conceived , born , finished school, dated, got married, had kids, retired and the last thing i saw before I died was them taking off.
I love the pass over in 3 ship then split then reunite on the same heading and climb. You can see the seperation the 2 wing men got from their split S to their leader. I discovered the Su22 in a meeting in Switzerland/Buochs in the early 90's (was from P.A.F.) and I got real impressed by their air routine. It was an old jet but seemed very powerful in the verticals... and damned noisy too
Peru uses completely other SU22m2 (fighter-assault) machines from 1972. Poles use SU22m4 (assault) version that was produced from 1980-90. Polish su is from the late 1980s. SU 22m2 is a museum, Su22m4 is a flying chariot.
I always considered su-22 as bigger brother with heavier punch, of mig-21. Probably I wasn't awfully far from the truth, even if both of them have different roles on battlefield. Great looking planes.
For all the non-pilots, who have complained about what seems to be an excessive time on the runway threshold before takeoff, this is known as a "line-up and wait" instruction by ATC. The wait is not at the discretion of the pilots or for aircraft engines and systems checks. All of that has to be done before taking the runway. The wait is for "release," when the airspace is clear and separation can be maintained from other traffic by ATC. These jets are certainly on an instrument flight plan and thus are subject the usual separation rules of IMC even though the flight conditions are VFR. I, too, applaud the lack of distracting background music.
It looked like they were part of an airshow. Otherwise, they wouldn't waste fuel using afterburners and there would not have been the minor formation maneuvers.
@@buggsy5 The afterburners were not engaged till the time the aircrafts were not moving and were engaged only AFTER they started rolling. Usually, afterburners are engaged only during takeoff when on the ground. The only other time when the afterburners are engaged when they are not on the runway is at the time of ground run at the apron (ground run point which has a blast deflector at the back), and in most such cases it is not the pilot who sits in the cockpit but the engine technician. To be honest, it is always a beautiful site to watch from close, especially at night.
Hi. I run a scale modelling channel and Facebook group. Our next build these is aircraft in foreign service (such as a Polish Sukhoi) I was wondering if you would give me permission to use a few seconds of this video on my own channel. I of course would credit you and provide a link to your channel. Many thanks.
I love the SU's the SU27 Flanker and especially the SU35, SU have built some of the finest aircraft in the world, Russian technical knowhow, can't beat it.
"Nice" is grossly understated. The three jets waiting for departure- these are magic moments. One can literally smell the odour of burnt kerosene in the summer heat
Great video. I am unfamiliar with the SU-22 (Sukoi?) Fitter. There are yt video recreations of us/libya, us/syria dogfights where they get shot down a lot. Also, cuba af used SU-22's to shoot down civilian cessnas over the Caribbean. Do the polish still use this fighter? Thank you.
Please tell me for what reason you would thumbs down, we need a reason box so all the troubled souls can unload their problems they have with this. Great video.
they had to change the engines everytime they did this, if you want a real old plane that still has a faster climb rate than most modern jets check out the english electric lightning
@@tareke586 Russian economy is smaller than France for example they actually poor as hell, but they don't give a sh..t about people needs and spend money on army. Just fly to Moscow rent a car and one tank of fuel get you to different world you never imagine is exist.
@@sprint12polska that's bullshit, all of it. Russia's economy measured in PPP is as big as Germany's. Russia isn't "poor as hell" and as a percentage of PPP, spends less on its military than the US. Btw, Poland isn't any better than Russia, so yeah
@@tareke586 unfortunately If you get into consideration size and resources of Russia they useless in term of economy they always been. How can you explain they can't even feed themselves in biggest country on planet earth. So yes some government connected mafia live like in the dream but average Russian still listen to russia today and think he lives in paradise. Russia if you exclude military industry produce nothing only lives from raw materials. Country that can send first human on the orbit, for a half century can't build descent family hatchback.
For dudes: the taxiing speed does NOT depend on the plane (and not even on the pilots), this is NOT an operational war condition, but an airshow. The jet display with a full afterburner take-off is part of the show, or of the return home. If you want a fast thing, instead of writing bullshits close the door and have a wank.
Polands economy is doing great. Their military is getting stronger and stronger. Surrounded by enemies as always throughout history they never give up they say there will always be a Poland. Hats off to the Poles
Also another 150.000 at least of those jet engines sucking up billions gallons of pure air and disturbing the atmosphere , but the higher ups don"t want to talk about that !
Wasting a lot of fuel. All that should've been done before getting to runway. Always keep the runway ready for action, not run ups and check offs. Cool jets though-nasty critters.
Yes they did and you Missed it. Now you'll have to rewatch the video again to see them take off. This time don't leave, make your sandwich before hand and you'll be fine 😬
