I want to say a BIG thank you to 'everyone' who has commented on the inspiration that they've received from this video. When I put this video together I was following my heart to inspire 'Whoever' might be discouraged to... "Not Give Up!"
However, I have received the most from this posting. I have been blessed from the countless strangers who have directly (or indirectly) motivated me to continue forward.
I did not know when I posted this video that 'exactly a year after posting this video that I would experience a tragic loss. Life has a strange way of holding us up in our time of need.
May we all spread the message of hope

He didn't win a medal but he did win the hearts of everybody who watched him complete the race. Tore my hamstring in the 200m when I was 13 and there was no way in hell I was finishing that race.. It snapped in half and took 5 months to recover so I could run again, not sprint but run. Props to this guy for finishing it

how can i relate to this? very much, i was running along the road to life, my father died when i was 3 years old, then my mother left me to my grand parents, at the age of 13 i become independent and from then on i mange to send my self to college, no one was there, no one even during my college graduation day, i was father less and home less, now all the things i don't have before i give it to my family my wife and kids. in times we get knocked down let's do our best to get up and finish the race no matter what, after all its about finishing strong. salute to all positive spirit out there.

Only listen to the nice and loving people, the people who support you. The haters just aren't worth it. They don't know the meaning of kindness :) This has really touched me too, it brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye. This happened a couple of years before I was born, so I didn't see it when it originally happened. I'm just sat here thinking "I'm not gonna cry, I'm not gonna cry!"

More than any physical disabilities .....i feel people without parents are the most unluckiest....because at the time of that utter loneliness that u face in life ...never expect even your best friends to be there with you....the only people who is going to be there with u is your PARENTS.......each time i failed i only had them to cheer me up...... ...... ....each time my friend does not invite me for her birthday.......each time i walk alone..................they never let me to be lonely .......i can live without food .......but not without them.........i can't even imagine the day you guys leave from this world ....that is the day when I am going to face the real loneliness😢

I just cried. It reminds me of life's situation. The security was doing his job but this had to work out this way to be a testimony to others. Blessings to the one who created this video. Blessings to Derek Redmond and his dad for the reminder to never give up. Man plans but God directs......

The whole race represented life When you fall you have a choice to give up or continue this man choose not to.Then people will see you are going through a hard time and help you but they can never stay forever that is why the father let him go shortly before he crossed the line.

This is a wonderful representation of Christ as Lord helping his servant children (Christians) across the finish Line of faith. Not a representation of "never giving up in hopes of having a prosperous life", but of finishing the race of good faith that we may be saved and inherit eternal life. Most of the lost people commenting on this video see this as motivation to never give up in life that you may be worldly successful, that's foolishness and you need to repent. A wonderful thing this father did for his son in this video clip but if they don't have Christ, that race will have meant nothing.

Thanks for the advice, but would appreciate if you comment on what i said; how God can be a human, 3 in 1 theory. Ok, i will believe in Jesus being a God if you give me a quote from the Bible where he says "I am God, worship me"..!
