I’m terrible at posting professional content, even when it regards a project that genuinely excites me. So this Fall, as I’m gearing up for a recording session, I’ll be posting post once or twice a week. I love all of the music I’m preparing, and I want to share it, even if my teaching studio looks cluttered, I have only one microphone, and I add to much reverb to the audio.
My upcoming album will contain two arrangements and five pieces I commissioned. All of it was created with my students in mind. I hope they enjoy listening to it, or perhaps will be inclined to perform it on their own.
Up first is a piece I arranged by one of my favorite musicians, Cory Wong. His music inspires me. It brings me joy on days when it feels like I have nothing to give.
