Kalashnikov 2020
Tank commander Mikhail Kalashnikov is severely injured in battle in 1941. The accident leaves him incapacitated and unable to return to the front. While recovering in the hospital he begins creating the initial sketches of what will become one of the world's most iconic weapons - the AK-47.

Of note: the problem wasn’t with the gun itself, but the drum magazine. Kalashnikov points out that water got into the drum and it froze the mechanism inside of it that rotates to help feed in each cartridge. This is true to real life as the biggest problem with the PPSh is the drum magazines were a chokepoint in production. This is why they went to stick mags.

@@sirendude because stick mags was lighter, drum mags was more heavy. And drivers, scouts, artillerymans don’t need so much ammo and firepower. Don’t be stupid. Usual soldiers always used drum mags.

Ah yes the PPSh-41. In the PC game "Enemy Front" it's also called the 'Pepesza' (though not sure if the Polish underground resistance ever called it that).

captured PPSh-41s by Germans are called MP41 (converted to use 9x19mm parabellum) seen in COD WW2

@@patrickkenney4270 be that as it may the MP-41 has nothing to do with the PSSh-41 lmao, it was just the mp40 internals with an mp-28 stock, because they had a bunch of the older stocks laying around

@@cannonfodder8907 The correct German designation of converted PPSh-41s was MP-41(r), while unconverted PPSh-41s was called MP-717(r). The former uses the 9x19mm Parabellum, the latter uses 7.63x25 Mauser iirc. Original PPSh-41 uses 7.62x25 Tokarev

Ppsh41 fires 1000 bullets per minute because of the low caliber, and also it is more superior than the MP4

@Beliomob I don’t know the exact reason but would assume it has to do more with the fact that was the only mags they were given plus they I think the stick mag was late war design

i hven't watched the movie ...but it's a little bit missleading when it comes to PPSH-41.....wich is AN AWESOME and one of THE MOST BELOVED and RELIABLE S.M.Gs of all times.....A TRUE LEGEND OF WW2.
