This is a simple tutorial on how to enable mouse support for PPSSPP, so that you don't have to experience every PSP game as a 3D MS-DOS game. Ask questions in the comments if you didn't get what I said through my stutters.
Thanks. I'll try this out. Some of the PSP games really suffer from the lack of second analog stick (not to mention that for me as a PC player it was really hard to play them on PSP).
thank you bruh i forgot there was on screen controls i was playing god of war with keyboard and mouse and i dont have a controller and there was part in the game that you need to spin the analog stick so yeah thank you for reminding me hehe new sub wish you would see this comment!
@@loothmohamed6396 It was just my version, the way I corrected it was finding another download link. I know it sounds really dumb but that's what I did.
I'm trying to play metal gear solid: peace walker and i would like to know how to run and walk slowly using a keyboard. Binding keys as the analog results in Snake running all the time :(
On keyboard, you have to bind an 'analog' limiter and adjust the settings in PPSSPP. In Controls, scroll down to see "Analog limiter" and set that to what Peace Walker needs. Then go to control mapping and find a "Analog limiter" bind. Bind it, and the rest should be smooth.
Get Minecraft 2.6 homebrew and run it in PPSSPP. Then just map the mouse to bind the face buttons. Essentially... Moving the mouse up presses Triangle, left is Square, right is Circle, and down is Cross. You'll eventually figure it out on your own. Besides, I made this as the starting point video. You're going to have to figure out the controls yourself.
Okay so you have VC 2, perfect which is the reason why I downloaded PPSSPP, but I never used PSP before so can anyone tell me what is the best keyboard mapping to play Valkyria Chronicles 2 like VC 1? EDIT: Also, what's MouseDY, you sounded a bit unclear there.
Are you making sure that when you press M, that you keep the tiny window that pops up in the foreground? If you're just moving your mouse when it's not even asking for input, of course it ain't gonna work.
that's because it really was meant for a controller try switching how you look around to the analog stick, there's a difference between the digital buttons and the analog stick itself, and keep tuning it
Could you increase the resolution? Maybe then it would work better alongside with a higher number of dps instead of sensitivity. Or perhaps try NVIDIA's supersampling ... I mean DSR.
No problem. By the by, there's a right analog stick cheat you can use for MGS: Peace Walker. I think it'll work quite well if you set up your own controls that way.
Try properly enabling the mouse controls, and when you're binding, click the window telling you to push a button. You can also try and update PPSSPP to the latest nightly build, it's at the bottom of the download page on their site.
I wasn't sure at the time when recording this, but it appears that this setting is Windows-only, since it doesn't appear in either Android, Linux, or even Mac versions. All I can say is that you're shit outta luck.
@@rhobiusvoid PPSSPP staff actually does not care about Linux users. PPSSPP's PPA (automated package) for Ubuntu was updated 2 years ago with no other major update since then.
I have a Problem, when i play Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and i create my character, i have to enter my Name. The Problem is that the psp keyboard does not open and i can't use my pc keyboard. U got any solution for me?
Look in the System settings for "Enable Windows native keyboard." PPSSPP will intercept requests to open the PSP keyboard and open up a small "VALUE" box where you can put in the name.
@ExploFizzYT no, I'm using Manjaro and Lutris. But I've also installed PPSSPP separately from the Arch repositories and when launching it through the console I get to use mouse in control settings... but I still can't use mouse in GTA Liberty City Stories, eventhough I followed the video.
how have to map those but the way i play i use keyboard and controller since you can have many inputs for one like i have my controller set up for more precise racing games and fighting games and i use my keyboard for the racing games that dont require much input from the analog so most racing games are ok with keyboard controls but head to controls and where it says dpad it says the direction so choose what input you want for that button/key
Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the analog stick, coz in games like mgs peacewalker, i have to move the analog stick slowly to walk quietly, but thats not possible on pc.
You have to change the Deadzone Radius setting under "XInput analog settings" under Controls. If you're not using an Xbox 360 and followed the tutorial, you can't change a damn thing because it's a rudimentary setting. If you're using KB/M, just bind "Analog Limiter" and press it while moving in case you want to sneak.
...Uh? Alright, re-reading the question gives me the info that you're on Android. Unfortunately, Android PPSSPP doesn't have this feature. You're better off getting an OTG cable and a PS3 controller for that. Or if you have root, find a way to use Sixaxis Controller app. If you're talking about the display controls (i.e the touch controls), you probably disabled something so that it doesn't show up.
Mouse Dx+/x-/y+/y- is simply the direction the mouse moves in. X- is down. X+ is up. Y+ is left. Y- is right. Enable mouse control is at the very bottom of the Controls menu. I even scroll down there in the video. By the way, please update your PPSSPP to the latest version, otherwise it's probably not there at all.
This video is a general guide for every game. Change settings as your heart desires, I'm not the one to judge here. Set analog to mouse or WASD or arrow keys, do what you want. This guide is simply here to show people that it can be done. Just up to you what you want to control with.
This is mainly a tutorial for PC. If you really do wanna use this on your phone, you'd probably be better off buying an Android controller, or an OTG USB hub to plug in a mouse and keyboard. It should work regardless, PPSSPP is pretty much the same across all platforms regarding this.
Weird. It should work as easy as I showed in the video. Try clicking in the PPSSPP window, you might be clicking on your desktop and unfocusing the window, which might be causing that.
@@rhobiusvoid Really strange, i tried almost everything now and it doesnt work... but thanks for the quick answer! Edit: Okay, i just changed the mouse button commands, and now it also works for me well xD
