Actually, it's quite the opposite in this video. In the sentai version, they don't talk a lot. But, in the Power Rangers version, they unnecessarily talk a lot in the fight scenes. And I hate to tell you this, but *NOT* everybody is a fan of the Neo-Saban era of Power Rangers. Or at least, they're not a fan of what kind of a direction that the first four years were going for at that time.

PR actually shows his insecurities which is what makes PR master xandread bad. him making dayuu swear loyalty shows that he isn't confident in is own rule over his own people. take the sentai as an example since you brought up grooming, same scene but the difference here is that he simply states a fact that daiyuu is a gedoushu. that's even more messed up than xander making her swear loyalty because of the implications he is presenting with that one line, that she's a gedou, there's nothing left in her life but that. he didn't make her swear loyalty because he knows that she will go back to him and she is his to the point that she straight up gives up her life for him.

Well, good for you. But for me?! I started with Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (season one) as a kid in 1993. Then, it was Mahou Sentai Magiranger in 2005 and finally, Kamen Rider Kabuto in 2007.

Javier Grant Try watching Dino Thunder, SPD and RPM. Those are the best Disney-era seasons to start with. I'd highly recommend them.

It is. *sigh!* You know, some people say that they like the new direction that the Neo-Saban era is going for, now that Judd Lynn is the new head staff writer/executive producer and show-runner. Others say they don't like how Dino Charge/Dino Super Charge is still carrying tropes from the last incarnations due to how lack-lustering the "super" season can be. But, I will say this....at least with the acting in Dino Charge/Dino Super Charge, so far...it doesn't sound as robotic, cold or as stiff and emotional-less as any of the acting from Samurai/Super Samurai and Megaforce/Super Megaforce.

Dinochrage is the only enjoyable season of the neo saban era at the moment however, I would much rather watch samurai and super samurai over megaforce/super megaforce

Not so much a rule, as much a tendency for producers behind adaptations not having enough faith that the visuals presented are enough for young audiences to understand what's going on or having the belief that intended gaps of silence have to be constantly filled with dialogue. There's definitely a more conscious effort in a lot of Japanese media to allow moments of silence where the visuals can speak for themselves without characters explaining or speaking that much. A noticeable contrast in cultural difference.

I was lucky enough to talk to a few who've been in network television. What they can say is that it's a combination of the Producers and Writer's objective to make sure the targeted audience gets a complete understanding of what is going on in the story. In this case because Power Rangers is a Nickelodeon network show targeted for ages 7+ they have to *add more dialogue so those younger audience understand it better during certain scenes. Unfortunately this means you get as you put it unnecessary dialogue in some scenes. Their main objective is making sure the targeted audience is satisfied which is why many fans out there can remind us is your watching a kids show :)

But I was a 7 years old kid once, and always found weird the aspect they talk too much, even when I was one of the targeted audience. I'm not complaining or something like that, I understand that now I'm not the targeted audience, but it's just how nothing has changed in these years. +rangersentaiguy2 +Makijita V It's the reason Japan has very different cultural standards when it comes to making shows for kids that I find it always all the more fascinating when there's a quiet moment in between fast paced action and character dialogue which really makes for an entirely different experience. I'm still a firm believer that a show for children can be entertaining and understandable for its audience by having quiet moments. If there's any proof that it already works, some of the best short films from Pixar are the ones with no dialogue what so ever. All I'm saying is that if children can understand what's going on in a 15 to 20 minute short movie without characters speaking or explaining anything, then there's nothing wrong to have just a few small moments here and there in a 25 minute show that doesn't require lines of dialogue from the actors.

This is why I'm so glad to be more of a fan of the classical seasons of Power Rangers like In Space, Time Force, Wild Force, Dino Thunder, SPD, Lost Galaxy and mostly Kamen Rider and the classical sentai shows than I am on the current stuff. Save for Dino Charge/Dino Super Charge.

Just because you're getting older doesn't necessarily mean that you can't just stop and enjoy somethings you enjoyed watching as a child, once in a while. You only think you're getting older because you simply just stopped having fun and enjoying life to its' fullest. Plus, not every "children's show" would literally make you feel "too old", as long as the writing is smart and if the characters and the story are well-written. That's all you need to know, okay?!
