I find anger only arises to trying to shield ourselves from pain or discomfort. It's about learning to be more vulnerable. I only get angry when I'm too prideful to cry. It's better to cry... Whenever my brother and I have gotten into a heated argument we both end up crying. In the end we find out we both felt the other did something to make the other feel unloved.
This is what I needed to hear...as a woman and mom who struggles with rage and anger, this was very helpful, I feel so broken over it and will pray and trust in the Lord as I practice self control, which is a fruit of the spirit
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For the wrath of man worketh not the righteous of God. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you. Man’s anger is sinful. God’s anger and wrath are holy. We can’t fully comprehend God’s anger.
@@jazz77T you’re welcome. Dr. S.M. Davis’ teaching on anger and it’s destroying power is one of the best I’ve heard. There’s one on RU-vid for free if you’re interested. God bless you, Jasmine.
Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
I too wonder, is anger a sin? Didn't Jesus get angry at some point, in the Bible it says something about that, how he was flipping table's and so because people where doing bad things in his father's house I'm sure, correct me if I'm wrong, I'll take it. But my point is, even Jesus got angry though he had a right for what they did. Jesus doesn't sin, he's the only pure human to live right? So knowing this, no, I really don't think that anger is a sin. There's not much wrong with it as long as it doesn't lead to you acting in a sinful way. I'd say just keep meditating over the Bible daily. Even I am learning how to control my anger. We just need the wisdom of God. And really realize that God may just be testing your patience. Again, I'd just connect with God's word. Thanks for sharing brother. God bless all. I pray in the name of Jesus for all to make it, in Jesus's name I pray, amen.✝
As mentioned in the video, not all anger is sin, there is a righteous indignation. For a fuller treatment on that, you could view this sermon: Manly Emotions: The Anger and Joy of Jesus (Part 4) - Chuck Vuolo ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z4_0GZcOGCs.html
I'll Be Honest that's what I was thinking, I'm just into the video. Again, thank you for sharing. I'm just learning from God little by little. Once again I thank you
Tara Marshall , there is a righteous anger, and there is a sinful anger. Jesus did get angry (You are correct). There is a righteous jealousy, and there is a sinful jealousy. God is a jealous God, A consuming fire. We need anger, we need fear, we need jealousy.. we must appropriate them in a godly way, in compliance with the scriptures. God bless you!
Do you honestly believe that sinful anger will be overcome no matter what in Christ? if I have chemical imbalances in my brain is that just sin? I think there is more nuance to emotions than just sin. Family history and other factors like genetics play a role in anger.
