►Description
THE JOURNEY OF Justice Dr. Chandrachud
DY Chandrachud, a Ph.D. from Harvard Law School, did his BA (Honours) in economics from St Stephen's College, New Delhi. Thereafter he went on to complete LLB from Delhi University's Campus Law Centre.
He practiced in the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court. He was first appointed as judge of the Bombay High Court on March 29, 2000. He served as Additional Solicitor General of India from 1998 to 2000.
In June 1998, he was designated as a senior advocate by the Bombay High Court. He has also served as Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court since October 31, 2013, until his elevation as an apex court judge on May 13, 2016.
During his glittering career, Justice Chandrachud has been part of several landmark judgments, including those on the Ayodhya title dispute, decriminalization of homosexuality, adultery, privacy, entry of women into Sabarimala, etc.
Justice Chandrachud is known for his love of cricket.
Famously, workaholic, Chandrachud presided over a bench on September 30, 2022, that sat till 9:10 pm, hours beyond the regular working hours, to hear 75 cases to clear the board before the start of the Dussehra vacation.
Justice Chandrachud will demit office on November 10, 2024.

Very inspiring and guiding .hopeful lecture of our CJI. For our great CJI ..I remember a Sanskrit shlok -which says "" The Great people have strength .more than Vajra ( weapon of Indra ) and their hearts are softer than flowers who get tears on the death of a young Dalit boy. .saying --.where do we go wrong ?" Whole country is waiting to listen to their CJI who is their hope of future

I am speech less by your narrations realty of life in simplest way and appreciate but prior to shaking hands with you I was thinking that you will too follow shah ba no case being the son of a judge who's judgment got various interpretation by the eminent lawyers but but become each city coffee houses table discussion topic I left thinking the happening in past just going through a little series of judgment delivered by you convince too much and appreciate you for leading judgement and no one stand for fair criticism further more I observe that you mde no gape between bench and bar and maintain decorum decency of court and no evil eyes cast a shado on you preforming promptly,y and with enthusiasm go up to the ladder of success in this world and there after and be always in ease and comfort by the blessings Allh the Almighty and protect you from evil eyes thank for brilliant speech agin and agin
