Paintings can be really inspiring. The techniques used in some work like impressionist art can be used in our photography to achieve a paint-like effect.

Great video! I clicked because I thought you were going to mention using photoshop to make photos like paintings ( which is what I do coming from an illustrator background ), but instead you mentioned shutter drag, which reminded me of Aleksandr Babarikin's works. Anyway nice content man love the jazzy bgm!

Actually love the concept here. You went full send on the camera settings to try and really push that look. Especially on an X100 body you're asking an absolute ton out of that lens and sensor combo but the results speak for themselves. Dig the video, and definitely stoked to see your work grow more. You're onto something rad here.

Great video editing, colour grading and music choice. You should do a video about your color grading and music finds. Keep it up 👍

This is something that I would definitely try out. I was looking for ways to make my shots more interesting and captivating, and as someone who's just starting out, composition for colors is quite challenging for me. Thank you for this

Great video, Eduardo; you remind me of myself 40 years ago when, at 12, an uncle gave me his Yashica Electro 35 and a Yashica 124. Most of my shots with the 35 were in color, while with the 124, they were B&W. I truly enjoyed my immersion in photography so much that I thought it would be my calling, but life doesn't throw you fastballs only; there are many curves 😂. But during my journey, I got a Canon AE1P and a Canon A1, which are still in use, along with the 124. Last year after lots of thinking I decided to jump into the digital realm and got a Fujifilm X-E3 and an X-T30II, both excellent examples of retro cameras, the learning curve is a little steep for this old fart, but it forces me to go out and shoot. BTW, your background music reminds me of the old days when you had a cigar in hand and a glass of bourbon inside a dive near Bourbon Street listening to blues and jazz. You earned my subscription, bro; keep on shooting photos and share those in the channel. Best regards, and stay safe. 🙏

If you appreciate his work then please pronounce his name correctly. It isn’t Ernest. Ernst. One syllable. He was from Austria so the name is German. Yes, a great photographer who used color theory and dragged his shutter with great effect. In order to an achieve the slow shutter speed you seek, closing down the shutter to f16 isn’t enough. I can’t tell you how many images I’ve overexposed my images even shutting down the aperture. A ND filter helpful. It appears you are using a Fuji X100V. That body has a built in ND filter as you know. You might need a ND filter in addition to the built in ND simulation to achieve slower shutter speeds. I like to shoot at shutter speeds of between 1/8-1/4”. I loved your image @ 2:26,. The colors flowed and are very lively. Great selection of Satchmo for music. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
