160 Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities EC-12 You may view the full test preparation manual here: www.texes.ets.org/assets/pdf/t... To be a certified teacher in Texas, one must pass the PPR as well as a content exam.
Thank you very much. This was so helpful! You have a great narration voice. and thank you for giving time between answering and giving the answer. Most importantly explaining why answers were correct and why some weren't was most effective. I really benefited from this. Oh and I have my test in a couple hours, so wish me luck! haha Thanks again!
+Tea4E I have not taken it yet. I am taking it in a week. I took the interactive practice exam on the ETS website where I registered to take the exam. First time I took it I scored 85% correct. Took it again a month later after studying my ELL levels more and I scored 93%. Is that practice exam what I should expect from the actual PPR?
+Benjamin Tiller If you're scoring 93% on the practice test, you'll pass with flying colors! Keep up the great work, future teacher! Study those competency subjects!
I have prepared myself for the PPR examination that I have tomorrow morning. Your video really helped my studying. I appreciate the time and effort it took to formulate the response feedback. Thank you!!!
Ok, I'm not going to lie. When I started watching the video I was getting all the answers wrong. I gave up and was about to reschedule my test. 2 days later I went in for my test without really studying and I passed. I think the test was a bit easier than the questions on this video!
Congratulations!! Were you an education major? What was the test like? What advice would you give? I am an ACP and I take mine in March. Any advice or tips would be welcomed.
Congratulations. I feel happy for you. I haven't been able to pass this test in three attempts. I have been teaching for nearly 20 years but this test has stalled my career. I feel very frustrated.
Are there any other free practice exams out there? I have followed and completed the T-Cert and the study guide offered on line by the state. My test is Tuesday.
Bummed out. I just got my results back I got a 238 ( needed a 240 ) to pass. Have 4 more tries or I guess I can’t teach in Texas. Tricky, sneaky test. At my school I got ‘highly affective’ on my formal Observation, with perfect scores in classroom management, questioning, etc, but I haven’t passed this test. Go figure.
this video is 8 yrs old, does anyone know if the questions have changed since then? are these materials outdated? or is it ok to study this for the PPR in 2021?
Hello @@LaurenLovesMusik Yes, it really is. i just watched the video 1-2 times and it really helped me prepare. ! Remember to think about the perfect education system and world .
You should buy and Check Certify teacher. com . I passed my PPR on my 1st attempt. Expose yourself to a lot of practice test. Analyze why the answer is right or wrong and remember the reason, the situation, the grade level of the question you are confronted with. Good luck.
this was very informative and great practice. Is this representative of the actual test?? I found this much more easier than other practice exams I have been taking. I got total 5 wrong out of 40 so 88%.
@@michaelacorbitt7638 study domain 1 comp 001, 002, 003, 004 and learn how to apply it to rest of domains because domain 1 & 3 interchange and domain 1 interchange with all thats why its important to know 1
Due to the ability to pause and rewind on RU-vid, my constructive criticism would be to speed up the pace. Viewers can always pause to re-read questions or rewind to hear it again, but it is much harder to skip the pauses and explanations if they are not necessary. Thanks, for the vid, though!
I recorded this video in segments, taking breaks and pausing the recording to cough or drink water or whatever, so you'll notice some pauses are short while others are a tad longer. I knew it was going to be a long video and didn't want to have to do any post editing. Pretty good for a single recording, right? But I do accept your criticism and have thought about that before while viewing other videos. Someone commented earlier that I had bored sighs, but that was just my normal breathing... perhaps I was too close to the microphone at times, but oh well. I was actually trying my best to speak as plainly as possible without my personality or Texas accent causing a distraction to those studying. :-) Glad you enjoyed it.
Eliza Ram No, the test is all different questions but they cover all the same competencies. Lots of scenarios in which you have to choose the best solution. Also make sure you know about all the different child psychologists and their theories. Student privacy and teacher ethics and law are stressed too.
I havent passed this test in 3 tries unfortunately i gave up and havent taught in 3 years due to me not passing this exam I might add im a business major
Luis, I understand you feelings of frustration. I tried to pass the content test for Social studies and failed by 13 points after I had already studied for a solid month. I was so discouraged, then I went and tried to take the history test and failed it by 7 points. I was so upset I wanted to punch the screen both times when I was taking the test. I almost gave up all together. I prayed hard and studied hard and bought the 240 tutoring prep course. I took the social studies test again and finally passed it. I almost gave up all together, but I 'm glad I tried again. Take a deep breath, pray hard, purchase a study course like 240 tutoring if necessary, study it like a mad man and you can pass this thing.
Brandon Ross thanks for the kind words the 2 problems I have is 240 and studying how do you study for something that has no answer, very subjective test and I have 240 it really didn't help me I have the mentality of you can't bullshit a bullshiter so it doesn't help also the perfect world mentality doesn't help on this test either
