Good tip on not ollieing to high. That is my problem, calibrating the Ollie. I get tossed forward. Always appreciate your tips.

Hey Will, love the channel. I have a rare request, which I realize there may not be enough demand for to warrant a video, but I’ll leave it here just in case. You made a video on (kick)flipping into tricks in general - I would love to see a video on flipping out of tricks in general. I’m at a stage of progression in my skating where I’m starting to be able to form flip tricks out of 5-0s, tailslides, etc., but could really use some pointers. I realize this is a more advanced topic that won’t appeal to as many, but I’m sure there are others in a similar boat. You could cover flipping out of different slides/grinds; for example, flipping out of nose/tailslides is likely much different than flipping out of 5-0s, nosegrinds, smiths, crooks, etc. The technique for flipping out of tricks is way different than what’s required to just do them on flat. As well, normal heel/kickflips out seem different than doing tricks out that also rotate, like tre flips. You should def do it cause there are hardly any tips on RU-vid about flipping OUT of tricks.

@@markf5314 approach the ledge at a parallel angle. try not to go too much at an angle though, cuz if you miss the coping you just go off flying. yeah, try it parallel first. this means that you should not go at an angle. just twist your body/legs to the coping, if i'm making any sense to you. good luck

@@caillouplat5307 yea same . I found crooks easier for me than fs noses . like whenever I try to fs nose I just miss the ledge cuz u need so much space but I'm like always having a bit more which leads to my death kinda x,d. but I'm sure I'll get there by time and I'll slide the shit out of the local ledges :^)

This might be too late but i used to do the same. I found that using my heel to nudge the board keeps it level. Hope that helps
@nattevinger
@nattevinger 4 года назад
i had the same problem but fixed it: what helped me was keeping my weight centered over the ledge, when you lean too much forward or sideways off the ledge, you automatically flip into primo, because your feet 'fall' earlier than your board can leave the ledge, thereby flipping it

Would a wheel size between 51-52mm make it any easier to slide... or is 53mm still okay to work with?

@ER_aka_RAM

christian roche I figure 53mm isn’t too bad... unless I wanted to get a set of 51s to dedicate for street... Anything less than 53 is too small on transition!

@croche382 5 лет назад
@@ER_aka_RAM 53 is perfect. 54 i feel is where it gets harder to lock in. I used to be in a cabin with Jamie Foy in woodward years ago. He had two boards one for transition and one for street.

christian roche Fawesome! 🤘🏽 …so far 53s have felt best (haven’t ever ridden anything smaller). I had just picked up a set of F4 Classics 99d, and rotate between Radial Slims . Was Foy’s setups identical boards, or completely different setups (street/tranny)?! Thanx for the feedback 🤙🏽
