Keep up the great work. While old school apprenticeship is definitely a tattooing cultural staple, in today's technological era the steps you're taking are completely acceptable. Do a few of your designs on friends and family, build a portfolio you're happy with and then seek an apprenticeship at a tattoo studio that will be kind, patient and supportive. This will help tremendously with your confidence

Good tip: Apply stencil to fake skin and press a paper towel down on it to remove excess stencil ink as you have done then use a heat gun on it. The heat gun will have the stencil ready in minutes. The longer you have the heat applied, the harder it will be to remove the stencil during the tattooing process so you can figure out how long you want the gun on it for. The stencils don't always come off after the tattooing process and can make your finished work look undesirable so to resolve this problem put some bleach over the surface area and leave for a few hours. The remaining stencil ink will disappear. 🙂

Where do you get that fake skin? I ve been purchasing many brands, and it’s hard to find a good one.

I started a tattoo apprenticeship many years ago and it was quite frankly abusive, put me off for 15 years but I’m going to get myself back into it now, the internet has a lot more info available now , I learned very little in my apprenticeship because of the backwards mentality, it’s much more accessible now.

Please don’t use these needles. I have found that mast cartridges have more flaws (barbs, inconsistent spacing) etc. Good for fake skin and practice, but imo you should be practicing with what you’ll be using on real skin. So just splurge, you can reuse your cartridges ON FAKE SKIN
