Well, holy crap. I've been intending to, and putting off, getting through this series of quite a long while, but I think supremely highly of it. The uniqie nature of this plot, and it's protagonist, rubbed ne the best way from seeing season 1, and knowing that the books were even better. As a lifelong book fanatic, Myne IS a Hero. Books, and thereby educational and recreation, steer all of civilization towards a healthier, happier, less opressive and sex slave using world. The greqt things she is encouraging, and the unspeakable things she is distancing her loved ones from, are infathomable in number. The author did a great effort of entertaining while educating while teasing. I guess I can't put this off any longer.

One thing I wish you could’ve mentioned is how AMAZING of a job Quof (translator) and Kier (editor) are doing on the English editions of the books

Also I like how there is justification for why society works the way it does. Why do nobles see themselves as better than the common people? They have magic, fight monster and their magic keeps the land from turning into a lifeless desert. So while still being a bad attitude to have it is fairly understandable. Why are women less likely to become aub or inherit in general? Not because they think women can't do a good job but because while pregnant they need to pour a lot of mana into their child to make sure it will have enough mana later which is the main factor for a families position and standing in noble society and in this time they won't be able to supply mana to the land or magic tools meaning they will literally be unable to do their job. This also means their spouse has to be able to do that job as well during those times and it is simpler for the man to do that job from the beginning instead of throwing the responsibility back and forth. Unfair? Yes but also a lot more stable, especially if there are tension between husband and wife as can happen in arranged marriages.

You have great tastes! By the way have you ever read Reincarnated as a Sword? It is certainly in my top 5 light novel series along with Bookworm but it doesn't get as much attention as I believe it deserves!!!

While I agree in general, I would like to add a caveat that where the series is now, the author has a tendency to focus a bit too much on the details of daily life and the story could do with a bit more condensing of the plot. Personally I don't mind this too much, but I have seen fans grumble about it. It certainly does not change my opinion on the series as being one of the better, if not best, LN series that I have read.

Hmmm... considering how they adapted Giebe Gerlach's attack in season 3, I'm not too confident the anime would do the ditter matches justice, without some changes in production. Maybe the speed ditter competitions, but I doubt they would do well with the pivotal treasure- and bride-stealing ditter matches, not without the studio stepping up their game quite a bit, or more likely them being given more time and budget to work with, since the attack near the border was done quite well, but that was a considerably shorter scene, with far less magic being flung around, so go figure. Season 3 was quite a rollercoaster in quality, with some amazingly animated bits and others that were just plain bad, which is often a sign of time- and/or budget-crunch. I'm also very much not fond of some changes they made, especially to Myne's final blessing. "He wants to stay in the city to keep his job"... and avoid the social stigma that would come from abondoning Rozemyne and most importantly, keep his head. Elvira would have had Damuel assassinated, had he gone to Illgner.

Do you, for example, know of the Novel Series by the Australian author TurtleMe that goes by the Name “The Beginning After The End” (TBATE)? I personally really like the story of this former King of a fantasy earth with fantasy ki powers getting reincarnated due to mysterious means into a traditional fantasy world where he gets some what strong but also runs every now and then into situations where he is confronted with his past. Its a story that actually is originally in English hope get to give it a small read. The Volumes grow exponentially with page count and also does the storytelling and story itself because it is the authors first work. Hope you like it and greeting’s from Germany🙌🏼
