Same thoughts. I’m less than 5 minutes into the video and had the same exact thought. Having taken a class from Matt, I can’t believe how composed he’s been so far. Truly a professional. Lol
According to him, he has to provide the best experience for his students. But at the same time he doesn't care what the students want... He gets to decide what the student wants. This guy is an enigma wrapped up in a contradiction wrapped up in a lot of technical mumbo jumbo.
I am now dumber for listening to him. I'm so far back I have the urge to ask everyone, "whats the best handgun?"Maybe that's why he's called instructor zero.
I would gladly pay big money to watch that, record that, and loop that! It would be pure slapstick comedic gold and total nonsense!!! Can you imagine them "training" each others techniques? Hahaha!!
Never listened to Zero before, he seems the Slavoj Zizek of handgun training. Talks in circles, just uses his hands in training the way Zizek does when speaking. Zero here, hands on vape and booze.
The ability of your experience in application in the matrix of backgrounds for all different purposes is about knowing your job and there's different types of backgrounds to validate your evidence of context. Like I told you, courses in Europe are $1 a round so hold the gun for 5 minutes while I look at other people and is a common mistake that we think we can provide solutions for all problems and there are no solutions and you have to do at your best.... AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Can you answer one simple question???
@scm6545 I'm pretty sure on training group live joel and others go in the weeds on everything and nerd out on all aspects of shooting. Sounds like that's what you're looking for.
Zero can't beleive he is not the best instructor in the world. He is a dry fire hero who games videos for tiktok. All his "certifications" on his bio, are self given. He may fool people over seas, but if he was is in the U.S. he would go the way of D.U.S.T.
Hey is just looking for the chance to get his name out doesn’t matter to him that it’s negative. This guy reminds me of that Jason Bourne wanna be bone tactical
@@chrisb9478Two old ladies went out front of the nursing home they lived in for a smoke. The weather was horrible tho and the rain constantly put out their cigarettes. They saw a small shop across the street and came up with a solution. The ladies go to the shop where they meet a young man behind the counter. One of the ladies promptly says “we need a pack of condoms” The young cashier awkwardly asks, “what size of condoms do you need?” The other old lady answers “the size that fits camels”
Some much talk about type of students. Such as L.E., when I've gone to training classes the law enforcement students were generally the weaker students regarding shooting. For a beginner class it makes sense.
I am in no way defending instructor zero because I think he’s pretty much a clown. But what does someone his age wearing Oakley’s have to do with anything? If Gen Z’ers and millennials are wearing Oakley‘s, I could say they are stealing it from us old guys because Oakley‘s have been around for longer than most people commenting here have been. Hell, I was wearing Oakley’s long before most commenters here have been. That said, this guy is a meatball.
@@billhicks3415 Definitely the vaping thing. That’s just stupid as hell. I see these kids walking around sucking on their electronic fog devices and they look ridiculous. An older guy doing it is just, like you said……weird. Bizarre! That’s a good word for instructor zero. Bizarre!
Sorry. I'm a quitter. I honestly have no opinion on the guy, I've never seen him before. I couldn't sit through this. Way too much word salad and I got full in the first five minutes. Let me know when the synopsis video hits.
I think there’s a difference between training styles inside vs outside the US. Ammo is severely limited anywhere that isn’t the United States. I get why he spends a lot of time talking as they don’t have a lot of ammo to shoot with so he has to find alternative ways to instruct and provide content. Some places in Asia will limit you to 100 rounds per day since the range itself has an allocation of ammunition, unless you are wealthy. I appreciate the contrast in styles. I wouldn’t take a class from him considering what we have available in the states but outside the US I don’t think they have as many options.
Yeah- except it's a dodge, not a factor. Making your students sight in with a frozen posture for 5 minutes is an indicator. Why 5? Why not "4:07"? Why not "12:40"? Is Graffel using this technique? As for .mil, the only time you sight in like this is as a 'correction through pain' application. This guy is big on SIRT...I would have bought it if they did presentations from the holster for 5, or did SIRT drills for five, then transitioned to live fire. The ammo squeeze is used to explain away bad training, in my estimate.
@@Dilemma6796The 5 min thing is excessive. I don’t disagree. EG is in a different country and has his own style. Round count isn’t everything but is helpful. Ben has a video on GM at 5k rounds. Sauerland is also low round count along with Steve Anderson. I think he’s just teaching what worked for him. It’s up to us to pick our styles, but in the US we def have way more options and opinions. I like that. 😀
Ok, as I watched this knowing "Zero" has been fighting with Ben and others about shooting skills, I have to wonder why? When he knows training is subjective as he said over and over. He lives in a region where folks are really kept in the dark with firearms and basic awareness, etc, along with massive restrictions. So in his defense it makes some sense why his instruction is built the way it is. But his arguments are not related to shooting skills but rather combative and tactics that INCLUDE shooting. It is a 180 from becoming a better shooter and applying information that does just that. So biometrics and flipping around with weights don't apply to practical skills with becoming a better shooter. It is simply a made-up routine that demonstrates one's ability to function under strange.and.unrealistic situations. But his is who he is, and he has done well thriving in his space.
Why is he wearing hearing protection?? Lol. WTF?? Edit: Just noticed that that they must be connected to whatever he is using for the video chat. Still cringey, though.
Holy crap, I’ll admit I didn’t watch it all, I just couldn’t stand listening to him for more than a few minutes. If you can’t explain it to a 5 year old, you are not an SME in your field.
Lot of circular discussion from Zero. Yes, the shooter is the common factor on any interaction. So the range vs. reality discussion is almost irrelevant. You train the shooter to perform accurately and fast as best as you can in any environment. How do we train car drivers? They need to be able to DRIVE in any condition. How do you train shooters? You have to be able to SHOOT in any environment. The "real" training were you are holding a gun for 5 minutes is ridiculous. How do we train Tennis players? They have to be able to HIT the ball. If you cannot perform the basics of it you need to train that. In what real life scenario are you holding the firearm in the same position on a target for very extended periods of time? None.
"In what real life scenario are you holding the firearm in the same position on a target for very extended periods of time?" I can think of several scenarios where this might happen: a law enforcement officer might have to hold a suspect at gun point for a long time, a sniper might have his target in the sights for an extended period of time before cleared to take a shot, a hunter might have his gun aimed at an animal for a long while waiting for a clear shot etc. In each of these instances it might be for MUCH longer than five minutes.
Swimming in the pool is completely different than swimming in a river to save a child. Why? Because you have to decide whether or not to jump in the river in real life. “So, once you decide to jump in, my 15,000 laps in the pool learning to swim most efficiently won’t help me at all because I had to decide to get in the river?” Exactly! The water in the pool is not the water in the river! You’re the common variable! So when we train swimming, we talk about swimming in real life! Not swim under the eye of a talented instructor of course! Oh and hold the swimming pose for 5 minutes! Instructor zero logic filters.
I was disappointed in Instructor Zero for not rushing to Ukraine to provide desperately needed training, and I always wondered why he did not go. I'm not saying that I expected him to join the International Legion for the Defense of Ukraine, but I thought he would at least provide his services.
33:24 Once upon a time there were 3 clowns. Costa, Haley, and Zero. They were teaching how to get killed lol. Now, people realize Costa is full of shit and he can't shoot. Haley was little smarter and became better shooter after lessons from late Ron Avery. And Zero's videos were all edited. He can't shoot in real live when I saw him shoot during the Shot Show Range days.
