I'm retired 71 and to supplement my ssi I decided to make Prayer Journals and I started selling them at flea markets and it blesses me to make a little extra money. I decided to make my own because every journal put there is so full of junk and stuff I don't really want or need so that's why I started making my own but then a few friends at church started asking me to make them some and low and behold, it blesses me. Just found you in my feed so I liked and subscribed. So glad to have found you. In my prayer journal I always write in red when God answers my prayers and when I look back at all the red, it helps me see that God answers prayers. Maybe not when I want him to answer or how I want His answere but it's always His way and His timing. God is good all the time!❤
Amen and amen! Prayers are often answered in ways we don’t expect and sometimes don’t want. Our loving Father knows what is best for us according to His divine plans. Congratulations on the blessing of making your own prayer journal. I have given thought to doing the same. Thank you for watching.

Thank you for bringing pray journals to the fore front. They are a powerful tool. I have to admit, there are times I'm on the roll with journaling and there are times I'm not . I want to be consistent all the time. So please pray that I'm more consistent with my journaling and pray life. Also keep my mom Adrian Halums in pray.

As we know ALL things are according to God’s timing. I just wanted to share that I was about to go to sleep and said I’d like to hear some rain as I drifted off so I went in RU-vid to find something to listen to. There in the choices I saw your face in one of the little boxes and I said hey let me see what Karen is talking about today and what was it…”How to Use a Prayer Journal”!!! I will never forget my question to you at a Women’s Conference where you and your sister were presenting and I asked that same question!!! I was afraid to ask and embarrassed that I didn’t really know but you were so very kind and informative in your response and I think it benefited the group as a whole well beyond just answering for ME!!! I HAD to let you know all this because it just might be in YOUR journal somewhere that you prayed that God’s word would find fertile ground and I want to be sure God gets the glory for YOU being an ambassador for Him! I would very much appreciate your prayers for me to develop a healthy prayer life. I recently returned to church after being gone for a long time and this is an area where I struggle because it was never really something that I ever learned to start with.

I have received so many journals but haven’t used them. I came on YT looking for guidance on how to use them. I will start and I Love the part about leaving space for God’s answers.

Thank you for this lovely video. I normally write on the right-hand pages of my prayer journal and leave the left-hand pages blank for answered prayers. I do the same with all my notebooks for sermons, Bible studies, RU-vid teaching videos, etc. Blank left-hand pages come in handy when I need to add some remarks or extra notes. It also helps filling up the notebooks quickly so that I can buy new ones. I just love buying notebooks! 📚😉

Wonderful video I have battled with the AM prayer time for a long time, glad to hear that it isn't a mandate to do the early morning prayer. I love the idea of your journal I believe you getting it together where others could order it if you have it for sale. Wow! This just popped up in my feed and what a blessing! Thank you so much. I've always felt guilty at not being consistent with a prayer journal because I've always felt I MUST do this first thing in the morning and that's just not doable for me. My body clock kicks in about the time I leave for work and I am very alert in the evening & night until around 11-12. This will work so much better for me to set my time in the evening! I guess at 71 years I'm still not too old to learn, LOL. Blessings Ms. Karen!

I just found your channel and I had to subscribe. I'm not as active on RU-vid as I'd like to be but I'm glad your video was the first suggestion when I logged in today. My prayer journal is huge. She's A5, weighs over 2 kg and the spine is now 6 cm thick. I guess it's because I write out all my prayer in detail and I have a list of hundreds of people/issues/things I need to get through in a week. Please don't think I say this to brag. The prayer need is so great that I end up praying for hours. I am a stay at home wife but I would like to cut this prayer time shorter without neglecting the people/issues I need to prayer for. This will allow me to (hopefully) start up the business idea I've been playing around with for a little while. But more prayer requests come in every day. Perhaps you have suggestions on how I can spend less time without neglecting that which needs to be prayed for...? If you feel comfortable doing so, could you give us a peak inside your prayer journal someday?
Thanks so much for watching and for subscribing. One tip that may be helpful to you comes from the creator of one of my journals. She actually has the journal sectioned off by category. For instance, one category is the church, spiritual needs and missions. Another category is the sick, suffering and bereaved while another is family, children, spouse, home. Those are examples. The idea is devote a prayer time to one subject area. You don’t take all concerns to God every day, but focus on a specific area. One prayer period is for praise and thanksgiving- what a wonderful experience that is! You can arrange in many ways, according to your needs & the matters of your heart. I hope that helps. I’ll think about giving a peak- hmm. 🤔 ☺️

I don't have a prayer journal but I have a small notebook to put prayer requests in ! I read my Bible daily. Not on fire for Jesus like I was about 16 yrs ago but want to be so much! I need prayers for my finances, I find a home that meets my needs as mine is about to go on the market as soon as I do!!! What does your peace sign as cant read below the word peace. Love your video

My best “sister friend” I received after asking God for a friend when I was living in a new city and knew no one but my husband whom I had just married. That was 45 years ago. When my daughter was lonely for a Christian friend in college,I advised her to ask God for that “hang-out, have fun, serve God together” friend. He provided! They were attendants in each other’s weddings. Also, my current church home is the result of prayer. I’m praying for you! God will answer.

I was terrified that Jesus would return and I would be lost. Thankfully, I learned the power of His Word and the assurance that God wants us to have. The reason I say Prayer and Prayer journaling should be early in the morning is because it is called a sacrifice, sacrifice your carcass out that comfy bed and get to it.

Do you have a fear that if something happened to you that others clearing out your items will read your private thoughts? For someone like me that may love the idea but may fear having tons of finished journals what do i do with them or others may fear our thoughts may be revealed after we depart this life. Any advice for me please?
Thank you so much for watching. Most often in my prayer journal, I list the categorical need of the prayer without lots of details. I don’t write in it as a diary. For instance, if Im praying about a marital issue, I may write the couples’ names (or my name if it’s a personal request) and the need may be written as healthy communication or restored trust. I have not kept decades of journals although sometimes I wish I had them. ☺️ If you are writing detailed notes, it is wise to be mindful that others may read them, either during your lifetime or at death.

Thanks for watching my video. I don’t write the actual prayers in my journal. I just write the names of the people for whom I am praying along with the date that I’m praying and the specific concern. So if someone asked me to pray about her unsaved husband, I would simply put today’s date in my journal, the requester’s name and beside her name I’d write “husband’s salvation.” I would pray much more in detail, asking God to soften the husband’s heart, to surround him with godly people who will share the gospel and for the wife to demonstrate the love of God to her husband even when it’s tough. And, of course, I’d ask God to draw the husband to Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Thanks for sharing. Maybe I will do a follow-up video.
Hi Gretchen. Thanks for watching. For my ongoing prayer needs, I keep presenting them to the Lord. I don’t pray about them every day, however. For instance, there are unsaved folks for whom I’ve been praying for their salvation for years. I may only pray for those specific needs once or twice a month. You should know, too, that I have answered prayers for other’s salvation that came after decades of prayer. God is so wonderful!
I want my husband's kidneys to be healed and I pray that my daughter can have a baby or adopt a baby so she can have the wonderful experience of raising a child.
