Being a Silent Hill fan from day one and it being my favorite series of all time, this is amazing, hope it becomes a full game! 💗

I usually skip demo playthroughs bc I like to see the end of the thing.. But I already watched every single cju video in the channel, so now it's time to start checking the demos as well lol

I enjoyed it, it's not as polished as Hollow Body from a few days ago but it was alright. I have a soft spot for those old-school type survival horror indie games, so I hope you'll decide to play the full game when it's out :)

This is a perfect example of what I was saying a few days ago about demo length being important for solidifying interest in a game. There were some things here that piqued my interest, and I love how the lighthouse seems to be the gateway between the "mist world" and "otherworld" here. There have been other games where a lighthouse served as a portal, butthe way this game's otherworld causes physical pain instead of just emotional trauma is a nice touch. However, while I'm very curious about how the mysterious artifact ties into the lighthouse and other aspects of the story, I do feel like the brevity of this demo really hurts it. They did a great job of giving in-universe explanations for the inventory box and some additional context for what's happening at all the right moments. However, there's no real hook by the time the demo ends. You have a mice little mystery and leave with some questions... but little else. I do want to see more of this game, but definitely understand why this demo is going to turn a lot of people away due to it lacking that special something that makes you want to come back for more. A simple cliffhanger ending just isn't enough. Hopefully, they'll release a second demo before the full game that has a bit more bite, perhaps set later in the game or even as a little standalone prequel showing a different character that gives us something more to look forward to. But all in all, I think this one has some promise if they can do a little better taking advantage of the player's natural curiosity. Incidentally, I think I recognise the hanging guy from some movie a couple decades ago... I think his name was Leg O'Less. I guess elves will take any job they can get these days. However, he did seem pretty bloody bored, which also didn't help make people want to play more.

She sounds like a wine mom. Which could be unintentionally funny what with her being a led foot and the puking. And didn't the fog in the Silen Hill games symbolize the protag's mental state? Here we have blood red. The running gag from AIRPLANE _"I picked a bad time to quit..."_ the moment she happens upon gore or a baddie would fit nicely.

Oh, how unfortunate that the thin, flimsy, wooden cabin doors are locked. If only we had a key, or a good strong axe to chop our way through them. Oh wait.... 😠 I despise when game developers do this. They give our playable character an inventory item that in real life, we could use to break our way in or out of places. But for some bizarre reason, no; we can't use said item in the game! Also, what is this obsession with Lighthouses from all these Indie Horror game makers? Starting to think it's a conspiracy.

More like ‘Welcome to Silent Hill’. Complete with fog and bottomless precipice…and tank controls too? I mean, that is a classic setting so it’s a good creepy atmosphere for a horror game.

A game that combines elements of Silent Hill and Dark Falls should create a great deal of interest & enthusiasm. I don't believe Prayers From the Abyss is that game.

Yup. The demo was mediocre, imo. It didn't pull me in enough to want to watch the full game, although I'd watch if you play it. Besides, I don't feel so great...I just threw up all my organs and I have a key shoved up my a**. 😆🤣

A nice demo play of 27 minutes to figure out. Like you are really not interested in a full game I'm not really interested playing or watching someone play anything longer. There were no puzzles to solve vs this being just an item collecting game which is more boring. I like a little mental puzzle games challenges to where I would need to watch someone play for possible hints that the game offers no additional clues about (a hint feature).

This is kind of similar to another indie horror titled 'the keeper' which has also not been developed fully. Just a demo like this one.

I’m tired of all these demos. I love your videos but ugh these developers only release demos now then either never do a full version or when the “full game” finally comes out there’s like one more area at the end. Why not just finish your idea before hurrying out a demo?

I understand the inspiration and aesthetic choice, but I feel like the PS1 look is just lazy now... it just means they don't need to put as much work into the visuals, but I'm not a game developer and this is just my opinion. The opening voice acting was pretty good, but it's hard to tell if it's AI or not anymore. The monster you encountered is a direct rip of SH2's Lying Figure. I dislike how horror games make you do things without any reason as to why you would and have puzzles that make no sense. Why would anyone put a weight puzzle as a lock? Why would you disturb a child's resting place? Why would you not be FREAKING OUT at the sight of that guy at the ending?! Good grief... This red fog also makes me think of an older game that I love called Sylvio. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but this seems like your run of the mill indie copy. I'm not interested.
