►About the Game -
"Endless Days" is a horror game with PS1-inspired graphics. The game takes place in 1975 and you control a lighthouse keeper working isolated on an island.
Dylan takes a job on an isolated island looking after the lighthouse for six months. The last lighthouse keeper has mysteriously disappeared and as the days go by, Dylan discovers that he may not be alone on the island.

This was fun to watch. And you were in the credits at the beginning, Chris! My challenge to indie horror developers now is: make a lighthouse-themed game where the lighthouse is really just a lighthouse, and the horror lies elsewhere. 🙂

Or make it a dark house where the light keeps turning on and you have to keep trying to turn it off otherwise it’ll give away your location

"Lighthouse keeper" definitely sits fairly high on the list of "jobs to avoid if you want to survive a horror game". I feel it could maybe have done with a few more things to do/explore/find around the island, but all in all quite fun!

no one lives under the lighthouse is one, and there's another I saw mrkravin play a year or so back, I'll come back to comment if I find or remember it. it wasn't amazing, but it had a very unsettling atmosphere

Thing is, how are you going to get internet on an island? I'd say download a bunch of books/movies ahead of time and play offline games, and you're good to go for a bit.

I finally realized what that sound during the conversations remind me of. It's from Obscure 2 (and maybe 1) when you saved the game at a flower. It has been bothering me since the first time I heard them use it, because I just couldn't figure out where I knew it from.

This felt so familiar every step of the way... Was this a demo before or something lol. I love it anyways. Especially watching Sebastián sassy walking and then stretching before disappearing. Also love that you got a shout out!! I hope you get some voice acting in games soon, cuz your voice is amazing and you always read things the way they seem they should be said.

Dude your sailor friend Sebastian, at the start had some serious junk in his polygonal trunk! Also, the developer totally just lifted the lighthouse horn noise from The Lighthouse, as in the movie.

That's the most inefficient lighthouse ever Like, this lighthouse uses souls, it's a very controversial power source You'd think that means the lighthouse is magical and never turns off or needs a human to operate But nah, it requires just as much supervision as a regular lighthouse and it turns off from time to time all the while it violates countless of OSHA regulations about human sacrifice! What's the point? Just use regular oil

also, if I'm not mistaken, some lighthouse shifts are a half year or so. it's too much work to ship people out to the islands they're on over and over. they'll drop them qith a ton of supplies and usually come back with more at the halfway point.

"Lighthouse keeping" was the indie horror game fad that was on the cusp of being truly oversaturated everywhere, not just on this channel, before the Backrooms up and came and just dominated everything. And coincidentally I think both fads started back in 2019 (the former because of that movie, the latter on 4chan).

Yeah, agreed. I do have a slight bone to pick with that. Some of 616's earlier works are more original and thus very enjoyable! The recent games, in my opinion at least, have felt both rushed and like almost direct copies of previous games from other developers that were arguably much better. I really hope they'll get back to their original style instead of continuing like this. I only finished this video (and liked it) because it's CJU. :/

So, if the light can't go out, who lit it after Dylan died (before Stephen got there)? And the company men never came back to pick Sebastian up, so they must be in on whatever is sinister. And what would happen if you didn't light the lighthouse?

A surprising positive sentiment Chris. So many nonsensical elements for the sake of keeping a linear story going (i.e. why would a crowbar be stored on a chest on the outer walkway at the top, why does a random crow have a key to that specific chest with a fairly mundane item). Having a linear story is not a bad thing, but it could have been presented much more interesting in my opinion. You pointing out the ridiculousness was what made the video worth watching, not the game itself.
