People like Sh. Hamza are extraordinary people that others always want to emulate. So that's why I can understand why some people don't want to pray publicly at work otherwise their co-workers (many who can be non religious) start to scrutinize and magnify their mistakes (even on an integral basis). That's why I followed what Sh. Sayed Sabiq wrote regarding Sayyidna Abdullah ibn Unays (RA), that when he walked towards Banu Layhan (to assassinate Khalid Ibn Sufian who wanted to invade Medinah to take the female Sahabiyat and their daughters as slaves), he did his entire Salah whilst walking, reciting everything in that manner, the only four actions he did was bow his head when he wanted to make ruku, then bow it a bit further for Sajdah, and then turn his head to the left and right when it was time to make Salam. That was for fear of avoiding Fitnah had the non Muslims knew that a Muslim was amongst them. I remember back in my previous workplace my assigbment director, a Muslim, told me that his client didn't want any more Muslim staff because they wanted to take prayer breaks and do it in front of everybody. My director told me he needed me to work in that position cause he would lose tens of thousands of dollars if his client terminated the contract with his firm, and he asked me to figure out a way to do my Salah without anyone knowing, finding out, or seeing me. The plan worked out great, and by the next week the director of my firm was able to secure different staff members to work for that client instead of me.
So if you're at work, I can see you can prayer that way. But how are you going to do the washing before? Washing the feet and walking with wet feet at work is kinda hard. How did he do it? And how would you do it? Can someone give some advice?
