This mod got deleted the modder didn't finish it or just didn’t like it cause of how bad it was. This is the worst batman created glad rocksteady went another direction when creating this game.
Even the animated series ...which was really into making everyone look like there skull was square. And also the voice actor Batman and the Joker did the Arkham game voice overs . Frikn Mark Hamil seriously has over a full length film worth of dialog in Asylum . Oddly enough so did Kevin Conroy ...Batman really didnt have alot to say til Batfleck who felt the need to mansplain everything while not ever being in Gotham City .
Familiar with this 2007 model of arkham asylum Batman. Arkham Asylum scared the shit out of 5 year old me when it came out but if this was the Batman design they went with holy shit I would have never slept for the rest of my life
I was like 12 and it scared me a lot when I first got it after months of being excited to play it. Rocksteady did such a great job with the atmosphere of the game.
Some thing about Batman’s proportions here makes him look… Creepy for a lack of other words. I know Batman is supposed to strike fear into his enemies, but does he have to look so malnourished?
Face is terrible, cape wasn't finished by the devs I think unless they wanted Batman to walk around with a leather carpet, but the design itself isn't the worst actually, it just doesn't match with the general art of the game, the fact they changed it drastically just shows what a talented studio Rocksteady was. Cool mod anyway!
Cape was finished. Used a different system to morph the cape than the retail version of the game. Multiple iterations of the suit, including some colour variations. This mod butchered it's appearance.
This model was made around 2007 when the game was still under it's pre-alpha stage. It was still being outlined and this Batsuit takes inspiration from Noland Films actually, even the early baterangs have serated edges like the Shumaker films. It was basically ment to be based on a practical armored suit, with Leather, zippers and pads on him. Instead of basing the game on films, they decided to go towards the comic route, rewritting Batman to be in his later years and using his classic suit from the comics, but with a more realistic touch. I'm amazed at the effort being put into it though. Has working face animations and textures work properly.
Although I’m not a fan of this suit, I think this costume should be referenced in a future Arkham Game. Whether it’s purely cosmetic or one of the outfits Batman had during the ten year time jump between Origins & Asylum, I think it would just be a nice love letter to the history of of this franchise
Honestly, Carlos D'Anda's character designs made these games visually pop. His art was the soul of the Arkham games for me and it's a shame he wasn't there for _Knight._ That and the designs in _City_ that weren't his stuck out like a sore thumb, e.g. Two-Face and Mr. Freeze.
This kinda makes sense. I always thought Joker looked a little out of place compared to a lot of the other cast. I wonder if Joker’s design was a remnant of that switch.
Honestly, I like the alpha Batman look, but only if you put his textures over final model. That way it would be perfect. But the alpha model itself looks like it could be a Batman from Dark Tomorrow game. Sure, I know that it is not but I'm just saying.
why am i the only person that lowkey fucks with this batman, his head shape is fucked but overall i like the tone and direction. weird, sleek and super gothic feeling while also retaining modern design ethics.
I downloaded it but can get it to show up in game. Not sure exactly where to actually put the files. Anyone that got any ideas? Also its the steam goty version if that changes anything
It is an alpha as I explain to multiple people this is what we would’ve received in Arkham Asylum but rocksteady change it to the Batman we are know this is not a mod this Batman is in the files in the game and if you look up pre alpha Batman In Arkham Asylum you can see images from a pre alpha that this is the Batman we was gonna receive
It’s not that it’s cause rocksteady use cinematic cutscenes all the way up until Arkham Knight in Arkham Knight they changed it so you can see whatever skin you got on in the cutscenes which is why Knight was better in some scenarios
The pre alpha suit is a mod that I use TFC installer for rocksteady didn’t make skins to work in cgi cutscenes yet they started doing that in Arkham Knight which is why you always see the normal batsuit in asylum, city and origins
@maximocapcom yeah this was the skin before the game came out it’s in the files but it’s not a official. That why I put pre alpha cause this was the skin they had for on the pre alpha build
