Pre-Calculus - Applying stretching and shrinking transformations 

Think of it this way: If you are given a value f(3x) on the inside of f, then flip that 3 and it becomes 1/3. Remember that 3 is technically 3/1. In this case, it's 1/3. When you flip 1/3, it becomes 3. That's why he was multiplying by 3. If it were f(3x), then he would be dividing by 3 because it's basically 1/3 multiplying a value. 1/3 multiplying a number is the same as a number dividing by 3.

cocoa butter cookies Im in PreCalc Honors too and this week we finished the PreRequisites and this was so old it wasnt even a topic in it. There was a lot of graphing polynomials and polynomial rational functions
