Always good to find other people teaching Pre-emptive Striking. I started teaching it at the Police Academy back around 2001 and have been teaching it ever since, whether to LE, military or private citizens. It is THE biggest advantage you can create for yourself. Hands down. Stay safe and God bless.

Best thing about this for me was the description about humility, a rare case of someone that can clearly do it but doesn't mind someone thinking they've came out on top and walking away to avoid violence and he could clearly put someone's head into orbit, great stuff

One of the worst things is a partner not meeting your strikes on the pads, then ask for more power. But when it's their turn you meet their strikes and then they say "power like that"!

Worldclass! Avoid trouble when you can. You never know how a fight will end up. But if you have to fight which is a last resort, be first with a very hard pre-emptive strike on the jaw and hopefully knock out the enemy. If the pre-emptive strike does not have a knock out effect go for the headcontrol and choke (Rnc) them out. Thank you! Take care!

Good advice. Fighting is always the last choice, but if someone starts on you then you've got no choice, otherwise it's you who's dead

I can honestly say that I was trained by these two men. And I can also honestly say that I've never been so afraid each session before I got there, but in the aftermath ( :) ) I can say I would recommend to everyone to get on their course. These two are the absolute real deal.

I'd be curious to know what your take is on using a closed fist as opposed to an open hand to avoid injuries? (given you won't have them taped or gloved)

He's absolutely right, people can't handle going from passive to aggressive, it sorta goes against the grain of society.i was picked on by a bricklayer on a job a long time ag, he run a black guy of the job and a South African by just being a bully and abussive. He then, for what ever reason turned his attention to me. Well I fucking blew and in front of every one knocked him down once then out. His mates said after that they didn't think I could be like that and that and was shocked for months after. He did eventually catch up with me with his mate, jump me from behind and give me a knees up, so the moral is, if you knock a go by bricking out, jack straight after!

Scary stuff being this close to someone in yer face . . I would follow through with an elbow just for good measure as it naturally becomes primed a good elbow will always beat a solid punch so why not combine the two ? also employing deception (as the man said) is a good idea lower the threat level become passive it serves to lower the guard ask a question spit in his face and go!! For situations like this I have constructed an aggressive entry technique consisting of; dialoque- feint to the face (left hand) short kick to the knee (right foot) followed by elbow strike to the side of the head (right elbow) I can deliver this in just over a second and it is just one of a handful of techniques I employ that have been battle tested and relied upon to work everytime I have practised martial arts scince the 70s and currently I study Wing Chun im not doing it for the art ! I have studied the core concepts and developed various strategies that combine Wing Chun JuJitsu Boxing and the wisdom of Geoff Thompsons books . . as a Martial Artist I do not need thousands of complicated techniques just a handful that have been perfected to adapt to any situation together with being switched on

Tony obviously your hands are conditioned for sure, but I know if I hit someone as hard as I could I would probably break my hand. What's the alternative to this as in your hitting a pad but if you hit someone in the head with your fist you could potentially get teeth gash or penetrate your hand, or if you hit their forehead by accident your in trouble. I am not saying you personally your hands would take that but the average joe wouldn't. Would you suggest palm strikes to the head for example in this case.
@finhyland4270
@finhyland4270 3 года назад
Aim for side of jaw right up to the ear, soft enough part of face and most devastating.. If you hit them in the head you can brake your hand,in my mouth and you could get teeth in your hand.

Only part of the story told here: To be able to "generate the power" you need to have YEARS of traditional Martial Arts training under a legit instructor. Nobody should make the mistake of thinking that they can be effective with a technique just by practicing a few times or a few hours for that matter with a partner. Moreover without correct hand conditioning (=YEARS of traditional training) one will break hands and wrists on contact with an opponent's bony part. Practice-pads are very forgiving, street realities hardly so.

tell a guy loudly to back off passive hands twice and if he touches your fence the second time you take his head off. i was sucker punched at 17 just old enough for punches to realy hurt wound up properly and woke up on the ground having smacked severedly concussed my head off a metal railing maybe that was luck as i think the pavement is worse. IT will never happern to me again. Dont care what happens to me afterwards the next cunts gets slept before he bullies anyone else. im not being an internet hardman . fight if u wanna fight i dont but taking the option away from someone cos you dont like the look of em you deserve geof breaking you

@flamecolumn

Striking w closed fist? To the head? Not in my world. Seen way too many broken hands for that. But preemption? Absolutely every f’in time. Action beats reaction. Period.
