Ana will 100% draft a Def if they don’t win the lottery. Lindstrom would be a perfect fit in Chicago, Bedard need a big top forward to go in the corner for him. CBJ are not scare at all about the "Russian Aspect", pretty sure Demidov will end up there.

@@judistzoinkiski3395 If the Devils trade their pick I think a trade with Chicago's other first rounder (Tampa 18-19) makes a lot of sense. Devils don't have a 2nd rounder this year while Chicago has 3 along with a ton of other picks and prospects. Something like 2 second rounders with tampas pick to move up maybe with a prospect as well.

With all due respect, I vehemently DISAGREE with two of your picks with the first being there is NO WAY on Earth that Demidov lasts to 10 and second there is ZERO CHANCE that the Flyers are passing on Eiserman if he is there at 12!!!

I don't know... Regardless of all the stories about Eiserman, he still scored 75 goals this season. I think that's 2 more than Caufield did in his draft year. And he's 4" taller. I have a hard time believing a top 10 team won't bite. I know i won't be disappointed if my Habs go for him. Assuming Lindstrom is already gone

Your team as a desperate need of a talented RD. Parekh does make lot of sense, but Yakemchuk is a bull, is physical and got some skill. If his defense improved, he could be a steal.

@foktoppe sure but none of them will be NHL ready for 2-4 years and a lot can change in that time if I'm a GM I'm not just drafting a positional need that might not even be a need there 3 years down the line and that's just for them to break in we need a top 4 RHD so that would likely be 4-5 years for any of those guys

I definitely think Catton can fall out of the top ten. Demidov is another tier over Catton. However, you're right you can't have too many of these guys and expect to do well in the playoffs.

Flyers are taking the best Centre or LD available 100%. Their Centre and LD prospect pool is non-existent. I can't picture them drafting a RW, it's literally the last thing they need. even if best available.

@@GravitehHockey Sharks fan here. If the Sharks end up at #3 and correctly go for a defenseman (which I would do if they get the #2 pick as well) then yes Eiserman would be a great fit. There are very few forwards whose first instinct is to score in SJ. Not a lot of offensively talented players as is but all of them are pass first players. Need a sniper like Eiserman to be on the end of passes from Granny, Eklund, and hopefully Will Smith. That being said, the Sharks will probably drop to 2 since the Penguins are going to move up to 4 (because of course) meaning the Sharks don't get the Penguins' pick till 2025 since it's top 10 protected this year. That still leaves room for Celebrini to go to Chicago as well, so everything checks out there.

Your videos are always interesting so I appreciate the effort you put into this - even if I often disagree with your take. I'm no draft expert on NHL prospects but in this video I disagree on a few players. To begin with I definitely do not see Helenius in Top 5 - I would be very surprised if that happens. I will also be surprised if Dickinson goes Top 3 and if Demidov slides to #10 - but anything is possible. However, I do agree that Montreal could pick Iginla at #5 or # 6. Habs seem very interested in Tij.

All 3 Demidov, Buium and Catton out of the top 9 is a bit ridiculous imo... Buium should be drafted as the top 4 D of this draft class (could be 1st or 2nd), not 6th. The 16 players picked for the top16 makes a lot of sense though. I can't see any team that needs defenseman in the pipeline pass over the top D's cause they are more talented than the offensive prospects after Celebrini & Demidov. I see it this way for this particular draft (in order): Top 6 offense: Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom, Catton, Iginla & Helenius or Eiserman | Top 6 defenseman are: Levshunov, Buium, Parekh, Dickinson, Silayev and Yakemchuk.I

Sharks fan here. If we end up with 3rd overall (which we likely will) I would totally go for Buium. But I think Mike Grier will chose Lindstrom or Levshunov. The 14th overall is actually ours as well and I think if Eiserman will drop down Mike will také a shot. Safer option could be Nygard.

You think Demidov slips that much? Talk about a hot take! However, one thing I agree with is people will be surprised by the amount of D taken in the top 10. Lists that are made by kids like Dobber have a top 5 all forwards. Absurd. They have Levshunov, the top rated D at 9... I think this list is much more sensible.

The last thing the Devils need is ANOTHER 18 year old D-man under 200lbs. The reason the blueline stunk was because they had 3 inexperienced kid who got rocked when ADULTS hit them. The Devils have so many blueline prospects they are trying to have Casey switch to forward just so he can break the line up. With Mcleod's departure we need a 3rd center and face off guy. If they draft another D, I'm done. Hopefully this is all mute anyway and they trade the pick as part of a package for a an elite goalie.

First you not only screwed San Jose not once but twice. Having Anaheim leap frog them in the draft and then having BUFFALO do the smack down on them. How dare you do this to a team that tore their team down to draft first. Good job. Second. Montreal does draft Russians, they have 5 Russian prospects and two of them are stand out prospects. Bogdan Konyushkov who is a right defenseman who plays nearly 30 minutes a night and plays on the first line for his team. And then their is Yevgeni Volokhin who is 18 but is already being compared to Andrei Vasilevskiy with his junior career. The reason they didn't draft Michkov was because they had some very bad reads from his interviews and the way he handled himself. They just didn't think he was mature enough so they didn't want to risk their pick on him. Demidov on the other hand is a much safer pick and they would draft him. Plus he only has one year left on his Russian contract. Michkov had 3 years. For Montreal they really want Caydem Lindstrom. Very rare qualities in a big forward like him. He will be drafted high. And if he somehow drops to Montreal, then they will draft him. The other player they would want to draft is Berkly Catton. Montreal has stated they wanted skill and Catton has it. So he would be very high on their radar. Tij Iginla doesn't have the same skill ceiling as Catton or even Lindstrom.
