Bruins trade w/ Necas & Anderson for Ullmark & Peeke I would make but pending a Ullmark extension would have to be complete shortly there after. Cancuks would have to give up Hronek & Peterson plus more !!!! Still Hronek like Ullmark would require an extension. Rumor has it that the Cancuks want KK nearly just as much as Necas so only time will tell what will happen there.

I think it is because the Montreal market is so big, there’s always talks around the team. But I think Habs are not ready to fork over anyone valuable enough to be considered for Necas trade. I know there’s a lot of young D’s but the quality is just not there. And they’re not letting someone like Caufield or Dach go.. and I honestly think even Dach wouldn’t be enough

So every team gets to take advantage of Carolina? Olli Maatta not even the equivalent to Brady Skjei. So the trade would breakdown as Petry who’s 36 and a 1st for Necas! Brother I love your videos but this is not even in the bottom 5 of your worst!! Boston trade is hilarious Peeke who has now played himself into a journeyman position. The same player who was a negative 41 3 seasons ago. So the breakdown is Necas for Ullmark then A draft pick and Andersen for Peeke! Pal this is definitely not your best work.

I feel like all your trades treat the Canes like they're in a rebuild, so many picks, prospects, and young defensemen. Except for Petry, apparently they want a 36 year old defenseman making 6.25m instead of Necas, I don't think so. They'd just sign Necas. I think the goal is going to be exactly what it was last year, a high end forward. They have enough prospect D men in the org to cover for potentially losing Peskjei, and enough cap space to find a 2nd or 3rd pair guy in free agency for a season or two. They need to replace Necas with a Necas who fits their system better, not projects and picks.

I was thinking the same thing : Joker and Kulich for Necas ? However if Necas is signed to, say, 6 years @ $6.5M there would be cap issues in the future. The Sabres would need to buyout Skinner this summer. Next summer the Sabres will need to sign Quinn, Peterka, Levi, Byram and maybe Greenway to new contracts. In order to meet the cap going forward, when young players are up for their second contracts, all of them would have to sign bridge deals, otherwise the team would exceed the cap. For these reasons, I believe that Kevyn Adams will not be making any big moves to bring in a high priced player. IMO, the core is set (Dahlin, Power, Tage, Cozens, Samuelsson).

From a Nashville fan, I'd be ok moving Saros as part of a deal for Necas that looked similar to the Boston deal. Something like Saros and Fabbro for Necas, Pesce, and 3rd. Nashville needs to strengthen their right side really badly and upgrading top line and their top pair at the same time would work really well, especially considering it leaves them plenty of room to try to sign more size on the D-core in something like Zadorov

Also on 32 Thoughts Elliotte Friedman mentioned Kotkaniemi as a name that the Canucks could be looking at. Could open up the potential for a blockbuster deal. Van receives: Necas, Kotkaniemi, UFA rights to Pesce Carolina receives: Hronek, Mikheyev, 2025 2nd + pick or prospect.

Realistic return for Necas should be for carolina top 4 D man, up and down roster winger + 1 round draft pick. Necas is valuable and carolina wants to be contender also next year. Merzlikin or Petry or draft picks just wont make sense. Ullmark doesnt also bcs carolina has Kochetkov coming up. Im sorry i dont see any of your trades happening. Here is my pontential trade candidates for Necas. Utah, Anahaim, Chicago, Seatle. All of these teams would have cap to resing Necas aldo. He wants at least 7-8m per season, can be even 8,5-9,5m. Most of these teams u suggested dont have the capspace to resing Necas. Utah or anahaim im most comfortable with. They want and need to make big trades for big names.

Grav you're buggin'. 1st trade: Skjei's a UFA so his rights are worthless; Necas as RFA shouldn't be spent on a 1st and an old RHD, plus a LD when they already have Slavin and Orlov (who should get more time to perform better) 2nd: why the heck would Necas play C? also weird that Freddie gets swapped out for Ullmark when Kochetkov is probably going to be the guy, when Linus will himself cost $5 million 3rd: again, Necas is probably the best asset; why do they want all this depth? Pesce's rights are also worthless 4th: Walker is a UFA, Nuke's situation is tenuous, who's going to trade for that? Canes changing their GM does that affect this trade? Doesn't make sense to let Necas go to keep an older lower ceiling player like Teuvo. Necas Jarvis and Dury should be a core group going forward as the likes of Aho and Svech get older as well.
