This is a stupid video to make back then, it's hard where these players can go. It's making a video about the 2018 draft in 2018 saying Detroit were one of the winners when now we look back on it they were the biggest losers in that draft. How about wait a few years to see how it goes before deciding on who wins or loses.
Ngl I think every one of these trades is giving up too much for Laine. I genuinely hope for nothing but the best for Laine and hope he gets back to being a 40 goal guy, but there’s no two ways about it, no team right now can have a great deal of confidence in what version of Laine they’re getting in this trade. That coupled with a significant cap hit, none of these seem to totally add up for me
The Hawks will send a 3rd, MAYBE a 4th and if anything- Wyatt Kaiser. They’ll eat his entire contract because, they need to; they’re 11 mil under to just hit the floor. Laine’s value is perfect right now- literally nothing lol Plus the two years left on contract fits precisely into Kyle Davidson’s timeline before they want to really start being competitive.
I’m just gonna say it Grav, Nabokov will be the best goalie in the draft, he will be taken in round 2 or 3. I watched some highlights and some film of him and he’s pretty damn good, he could be a legit starter in the NHL and the fact that at 21 years old put up those numbers in not the MHL, but the KHL is quite impressive
K well I'll let you in on something. Unless they're a franchise goalie like carey price, shesterkin, etc....goalies and defence take the longest to develop and hit the NHL. Goalies on average don't crack the NHL until they're 25
If my hawks take Saarinen I. The 2nd or 3rd round I would be very happy I have him as my #1 goalie in the draft for his age, size, and his consistency throughout every league he’s played in. If any goalies going to turn out to be elite in this years draft my moneys him.
