Pre-conference Workshop
The Department of Thoracic Surgery at SMBBIT has successfully hosted the PAK TRAUMACON 2024 Pre-conference Workshop on Decoding Thoracic Trauma - through clinical and radiological approach on 29th February 2024 at Movenpick Hotel, Karachi.
General surgeons, thoracic surgeons, emergency physicians, medical officers, radiologists, post graduate trainees and medical students gathered with a shared commitment to delve into the intricacies of decoding thoracic trauma to understand the critical importance of advancing knowledge and skills to better serve the patients.
This workshop provided a platform for many to exchange insights, learn from one another’s’ experiences, and ultimately enhance our ability to deliver optimal care to provide the best possible care for our patients in need. Our speakers, Dr Fizza Iftikhar, Prof. Dr Shoaib Hanif, Prof. Dr Talat Chughtai, Dr Tahira Nishtar, Dr Ali Haider and Ms Sara Hussam shared some thought-provoking presentations/lectures and facilitated the participants in order to let them carry forward the knowledge gained, and inspiration gained for a collective journey towards excellence in thoracic surgery.
Dr. Mohammad Sabir Memon, Executive Director of SMBBIT, concluded the session with his insightful remarks and presented certificated to our guest speakers.
