Welcome to our brand new series of travel vlogs! Join Cat and Dean on their pre-travel day flying from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Dublin Airport with good old RyanAir for a 36 hour layover in Ireland before we head to Canada! 🇨🇦
We travelled from our local airport on a Friday evening flight, arriving early to an unexpectedly very empty LPL airport. Our flight was also delayed so we killed some time in the airport with a meal at the Kissing Gate and mooching in the shops. After finally arriving in Dublin at midnight and a delay with our taxi transfer we were desperate to get to our hotel and get to bed! We stayed in the Maldron Hotel in the city centre.
Having already visited Dublin once before, we opted to chill out the next day and headed for a little explore along the River Liffey and around the Temple Bar area to soak up the Saturday Night atmosphere before heading for food at the Hard Rock Cafe... which turned out to be the most expensive Hard Rock we've ever visited!

Hi cat & Dean,wow what a start to your trip,can't believe Dean threw £20 away🙈😁wow that's gotta be one if the dearest hard Rock meals you've had but it's Dublin I suppose as heard its expensive everywhere,atleast it was the only start to your amazing holiday and look forward to Canada vlogs soon 🤙👌👍🙂

What a delay you had for such a short flight. I LOVE a Guinness, if it is a good one, it is really smooth and a lovely flavour, a bad one can be really bitter. Your meal at Hard Rock looked lovely, but very expensive. Really looking forward to your Canada vlogs.

Yes it was extremely expensive! More so than the one in Iceland, a country that is renowned for being very expensive! 🤯🤯

Great vlog Cat after a long and weary day . Temple Bar area is nice to walk around but not to linger . The pubs and restaurants there are on average 40% more expensive than non tourist areas of Dublin. Down my way a pint of Guinness is €4.85 compared to €8.0 in Temple Bar pubs .

What is wrong with public transport these days!!!! The taxi companies generally take flight details in case of delays etc so they know 😢 What a day you both had, stressful even though you are just sat down 😬 Anyway, did you resist the trainers Cat 😂😂 I hope Your forwarding flights went more to schedule ❤

Loved this vlog Cat,That Ryanair delay would have annoyed me for sure,Is this a regular occurance with them? I've only spent a day in Dublin via the ferry from Holyhead,and noticed Dublin is a bit pricey.but wont stop me going back for a longer stay,as I love Dublin,as my descendants on mother's side are from Ireland.

Yeah we were very delayed for our little hop over the Irish Sea but at least we got there in the end! ☺️ not the smoothest of travel days overall tbf but hey ho!
