And, coming from France, I can say that quarrels netween christians faiths were not always peacefully resolved in my country, in the XIIIth and XVIth, XVIIth centuries. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Bishop Mar Mari came here to speak on December 1st last year and I was one of the blessed to meet and talk with him. He blessed a little wooden cross for me which now hangs over the head of my bed. He is the closest thing to Jesus that I have ever encountered. I am 69 years old and have been a Christian my entire life. He is so humble and amazingly gracious. It is said that he was strong enough after the stabbing to bless the 15 year old boy who did it. There are very few--if any--Christian faith communities which have suffered for the faith more than the Syriac Orthodox Church. Therefore it seems rare for us in the West where Christians have lived a relatively soft life to develop the fearless faith and courage that we see displayed here. @@smmaistheway Sorry but the Quran clearly states that what he did would be justified Sura 9:5: "Slay the infidels wherever you find them ... and lie in wait for them ... and establish every stratagem (of war against them)" Sura 33:57 Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.

You could also read their books. Every 6 canonical Hadith has a chapter about k-ing infidels. If you are saying it is a peaceful religion you are either dumb or lying.
And the church lynch mob who beat up the police, scared medics and damaged property are now certainly are known buy 'their fruits'. They are not true Christians !
I just discovered Mar Mari Emmanuel a few weeks ago. He has done more to improve my relationship with Jesus and my outlook on life than any other religious figure. I pray he fully recovers. We need him ! God please heal Mar Mari !!!

I was baptized as a child into Catholicism, I also left the Catholic church many years ago and went into a Methodist church for a few years. I left them also and now simply pray with my family at our dinner meal and pray in silence throughout the day. When we/I pray we call upon the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth at the end of each prayer. Right now I pray to Jesus to allow the Bishop to return to continue his teachings, in Jesus' name I pray.... Watching him on you tube is the closest thing to church I probably will ever attend again. His words are eye opening and enlightening. May the Lord Jesus be with you all....
We cannot lead a victorious Christian life separate from the Body of Christ. This is why the New Testament warns us "And let us not give up meeting together. Some are in the habit of doing this. Instead, let us encourage one another with words of hope. Let us do this even more as you see Christ’s return approaching." If you don't want to go to an actual church, you can join a praise and worship/bible study group that meets weekly in a Christian home. Many larger churches have these.
