💯, as a psychology degree holder and a born-again Christian, years ago I said it to my friends and my mom that psychology is failing in so many ways, especially when i came to know about the gestalt therapy using a chair 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ what?!🤥 There is a God who made that soul, who formed that person in their mother's womb, and we want to fix a soul using a chair 😢😢😢 very insane!!!
@@arlevalin We all live within the Milky Way Galaxy, there are approximately 200 Billion stars within the Milky Way, a lot of them have planets circling them, some of those planets are just like ours. There are two Trillion Galaxies within the observable universe. Light travels at 186,000 miles per second, calculate the number of seconds in a year, multiply that number by 186,000 and that is the distance light travels in a light year. Some stars are billions of light years away, when you are observing one of those stars in the sky the light you see was generated billions of years ago, you are looking into the past, yet we are assured that the universe and all the stars were created in six days, only 6,000 years ago. Dinosaurs roamed the Earth 165 million years ago yet the creationists will tell you with a straight face that dinosaurs existed in biblical times. There is not one story in the bible which would stand up to serious scrutiny, not one lesson to be learned, but if you have a powerful preacher telling you fairy tales then it is easier to believe than to question. Most Americans have had religion pumped into them from childhood whilst other countries are more secular and teach children to question anything that doesn't sound quite right, this is the 21st century and we all should have stopped believing fairy tales are truth by now, it's criminal to be brainwashing kids into believing stupid stories about talking snakes, miracles, a God who is watching everything they say and do and an eternity of torture in Hell. If you have been teaching your kids this nonsense then SHAME ON YOU.
This was such a confirmation of what the Holy Spirit has put on my heart and revealed to me. We really need to fix our eyes on how BIG our God truly is. In doing so, it will put A LOT into perspective for us. It will remind us of how much we truly need Him in order to be fulfilled. Therapy/Counseling is much more effective when it points you to Jesus rather than self-healing and all that it entails.
Praise GOD for this fabulous message! 🙌🏻 Pastor John's message perfectly describes what I witnessed come to life for over 20 years. It manifested itself more and more with each passing year until it prompted me to close my therapy practice in order to get a new direction from GOD. The majority of people that came through my doors were mandated to do so. Although I did not proselytize during their sessions, I brought them to the foot of the Cross every opportunity GOD gave to me. By GOD's Grace, I understood a number of years earlier that I would never be able to offer people true hope without pointing them to CHRIST. Although this "methodology" was against the Adult Probation Department's policy, I obeyed ABBA nonetheless. The HOLY SPIRIT convicted me of my role in people's lives, ABBA guided me, and I exposited what He prescribed. JESUS CHRIST demonstrates the following realities daily to all who believe in Him. There is no true way: to heal, have faith, be encouraged, demonstrate courage, or experience peace apart from Him. I will continue praying for those in psychology-based professions, asking GOD to open their eyes and ears to this reality; the reality being that apart from CHRIST, we can do nothing! 🛐 🙏🏻 ✝️ Shalom! It takes Jesus who got up from the grave to resurrect a man from the dead state he is in, and allow that man to be able to get up out of the dead things we encounter as humans, by that same resurrection power residing in us through the Holy Spirit. Psychology is wholly inadequate to address this. 🇨🇦
Freud reinterpreted Scripture, substituting the therapist, neuroses and psychoses, therapy and drugs for God, spiritual unease, repentance and faith. "In Your light we see light." (Psalm 36:9) Halleluia!!
It must be SO frustrating to preach such a deep and important message, and have a room full of preachers laughing. He is being passionate about facts and it's being perceived as funny - does that indicate the lack of depth in the audience?
