You could explore welding plastic as well. I wonder how feasible that is, but using all that plastic to make building materials would be interesting. Could you make beams out of HDPE and weld, glue or screw them together to build strong and durable things?

Hi Dave, I think it would be useful to allow viewers to make and edit subtitles to your videos, it would help to touch more people who don't really understand English. Greetings from France, keep up the good work !!

Félix Hureau you “you don’t really understand English “ That’s not very nice! :-) Ok picking aside, I actually enjoy his imperfect English and enjoy his work and videos more this way, it’s all part of being himself and authentic, granted big mistakes can be a problem but in general his English (and others on RU-vid) reminds me of the cosmopolitan world that live in right now, where almost everyone can communicate with the rest of the world using this language.

I think the point here was that people could translate the videos to multiple languages through subtitles rather than to critique anyone’s language skills. It’s a great idea!

Make that plastics separator you showed in one clip a while back. The most difficult part is depressing the plastics

Shipping containers get very hot on the inside in hot climates. Are there any plans to combat this? Another problem I see is power, while you can get these containers everywhere some of the areas that need this most don't have power for the machines on the inside.
@Naiemaa
@Naiemaa 6 лет назад
Duncan Murphy solar panels & batteries for power maybe? Obviously this is not a cheap solution in most of the world but it goes really well with the spirit of the project, and if it’s a team that’s working on the project then some people may have the skills to make the system from used panels and build the battery from reclaimed 18650 batteries (many people have done this before on RU-vid).

Tie solar directly to an inverter and then to an A/C unit of some sort. Also add some sort of insulation. Fiberglass on interior if you have nothing else. That's the cheapest way to do it, it will only be on when the sun is heating the container. If you are in a hot/humid environment you're SOL w/o batteries.

I am new. Wouldn't it be nice to see you making all the stuff you used to fill your work shop out of recycled plastic.I thought this was a recycled plastic work shop.Where is the recycled plastic shelves,counter tops, floor, storage bins and hoppers for the machines.Maybe you could use plastic to insulate and cover the walls.People come to your work shop to see the possibilities that can be had with recycled plastic.So wheres the recycled plastic? Can you make a plastic mold to mold plastic.Like a higher temperature plastic mold and a lower temperature plastic to fill the mold.

Why don't you replace wood and metal with plastic. .. to build from plastic ?

Hi me here again. What about the ventilation?? You have something installed but didn't talk about it in the video..this is one of the areas I think doesn't get much attention from your videos and is pretty important when trying to convince the public and workers of a healthy workspace.

@lemmonsinmyeyes
@lemmonsinmyeyes 6 лет назад
XVX in the states, one container like that is between 2500-3400$. Depending on how good it is. That doesn't include the cost to move it

I would recommend you insulate that structure, or else you will be spending a lot of money and resources on heating and cooling. There are many recycled insulating materials you could use. Best of luck.
