She tried to murder a young girl- with no remorse whatsoever! How do you serve 2 years for that and rejoin society? That doesn’t seem like justice at all.
OKAY YA'LL - QUIET DOWN. I was in the courtroom for Nancy's sentencing, and I can tell you how Nancy received such a lenient sentencing. After the verdict was delivered, the courtroom listened to Presiding Judge David Brabham seethe with moral outrage as he admonished Nancy Moses, who until that moment had appeared utterly unflappable. Then, Nancy gave the Judge (and the entire community of Kilgore, TX) a piece of her mind: "Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion!!!" The Judge's leniency gave proper consideration to the greater context of the Rangerettes as an institution in Kilgore. A storied pillar of honor, pride, and tradition within their community. The Rangerettes are worth fighting for ya'll! And after all, isn't that what Nancy Moses did?
“Some people carry a road emergency kit, Nancy carried a stalker emergency kit. People never know when they will become a stalker, therefore it is important to be prepared.” 🤣 Dr Grande I’m crying in laughter 🙌🤣
I keep a firearm with me almost everywhere I go, but since my hair has come back post brain tumor, I don’t wear wigs anymore, so they’re all in storage somewhere. Maybe I need to be more prepared.😜🤣🤣🤣
"What happened to Kyle's dinner?" *chef's kiss* Thank you, Doctor Grande, for daring to ask the tough questions that cut right to the heart of the matter. Keep up the good work! Cheers.
I know this was a serious crime but this is hilarious. What happened to Kyle’s dinner? 😂😂😂🤣 Nancy had some serious issues. I’m not sure what was going on in her head. Maybe getting employment/hobby at least part time may have provided her less time to concentrate on high school nonsense. It’s important to Nancy, I get it. But in the scheme of things, a dance troupe? Her daughters’ high-school love life?? What kind of role model is this mom? I feel bad for her daughter too.
I feel bad for the daughter, too. What's she going to do when her daughter doesn't get into Yale? Kill the Dean and burn the school down? I hope the kid runs away and joins the circus. Anything, to get away from mommy!
Honestly, if I were this lady's daughter, I'd probably go non-contact. Imagine if the daughter started veering from the path Nancy wanted. If she can't live vicariously through her daughter, then what would she do to "fix" the situation?
Totally agree. Can you imagine if she ever gets fired from a job? Or even interviewed for a job that she doesn't get? This woman is dangerous in my opinion and does not belong out on the streets.
Ahhh...she ALREADY HAS SHOWN what she will do if her "fantasies for living vicariously thru her daughter" DONT become realities. She should be kept in a locked mental health facility...this woman is criminally INSANE! Daughter needs to "de-tach" from octopus mother, or her own life will be very tragic one!
What I am wondering is what does the daughter think of all this? Story was that her mom was too intrusive into her relationships and it caused a break up. Next thing you know your mom is being arrested for kidnapping and you find out she tried to strangle one of your peers to death but made it home in time so dinner would be ready. It’s a new world of information into the person that parented you. Like, mom, what tf are you doing? Where did this come from? Why?! You’re making it harder to be normal. You quite literally are ruining my life. Oh you were trying to help? How are you gonna help me if you need help too?
It is amazing how light of a sentence she got. The judge must have slept through the trial cause surely all the evidence was there. Thank you. By the way she was a mean looking woman...but cooks a hell of a meal I guess.
@@Meela234My wife is from Texas. Her soccer team won the state championship. My wife went on to get a full scholarship at a very good Div 1 college. Her coach never cut a single player. She stopped cutting players because of all the emotional issues it caused. She would tell the players that were not any good, you’re on the team but you will never play in any games. The team always had at least 20 plus players that never played and they were fine just being part of the team. This was in the late 80s.
The immaturity we see people display is just mind boggling. How the hell did mom get this age, raising children, holding down a job & still be so out of touch or immature? Idk if the daughter was even privy to her mom's actions before she did them. Both parents showing up must have been so confusing & upsetting so dad didn't see it either!!??? Doesn't seem like the kids have much of a chance. SMH sad all the way around.
As Grande tells the case it feels more and more like that classic meme from Anchorman that says "well that escalated quickly". In reference to the mothers behavior.
This case reminds me of Wanda Holloway, who tried to hire a hit man to kill the mother of her daughter's cheerleading rival. She was also from a small Texas town. With it's mixture of banality and violence, this world make a great subject for a Cohen Brothers movie.
Exactly! And to have the Rangerettes involved which are also a Texas institution (arguably invented or made famous the good ole high kickline and have been the focus of numerous articles, documentaries, etc) Ah, DG, you killed me with the dinner comment! 😂 Seriously though, a total aspd/narc quite likely and still a complete danger to society.
Just as Texas takes “Friday Night Lights” H.S. football seriously, they ALSO take drill team, cheerleader, and majorette seriously. A high school classmate who didn’t make majorette due to “band parent politics” (quid pro quo crap) transferred to another high school with her parents’ blessing, and breezed through the audition, no problem. She even ended up becoming head majorette at the new school. It’s true, parents vicariously living through their kids to an unhealthy degree make things worse for everyone!
Nothing says criminal mastermind like when someone asks, “Where’s my gun?” I died. 😂 😂 😂 Not only were you funny 😆. But, this could’ve been made into a comedy
I just read about this case in Texas Monthly. One of the educators involved referred to parents like Nancy Motes as lawnmower parents, a step or two beyond helicopter parents. If you get in the way of what these parents want, they will mow you down. I was also shocked that Nancy's sentence was so light, given that she used a gun and kneeled on the girl's chest to stop her breathing. The reason that the young lady was able to get out of the storage area was because of her conditioning and training as a Kilgore Rangerette. She had to scale several tall fences to escape the space. Nancy was probably also outraged that this girl was a Rangerette, and that Kylie most likely would never be. What a strange and scary woman.
Probably some of the best psych content on this platform - so glad I came across this man. He’s the only person who gets a like on every video because he asks
"Whatever happened to her husband's dinner? Did he ever get to eat it?" You crack me up, Dr. Grande!! Very good analysis, spot on about the judicial system too!!
Could you talk about the Ana Kriégel murder in Ireland? She was a 14 year old murdered by two 13 year olds. It's a really shocking and interesting case, I would love to know what you think of it.
I'm not familiar with Ireland's justice system, but if it's anything similar to the brits system then I assume the 13yo's were given hugs and sent back to their family.
Good morning Dr. Grande! The days are rough. These videos are a bright spot. I have my book! I'll get some down time to dive into it this weekend! Can't wait!
Wait. Why wasn’t she charged with attempted murder? She choked her unconscious and when she came to she said, “oh, you’re still breathing?” What the heck! I totally thought Dr. Grande was going to say the question we’re all wondering was why she wasn’t charged with attempted murder. When he said, “what happened to Kyle’s dinner?” I literally flew in the air laughing!!! 😂😂😂 this is one of the most hilarious videos he’s done and they’re all funny! It’s probably easier to make them funniest when no one died (thankfully!) I literally loled through the entire video. Thanks Dr. Grande for another great speculation! 😂 👌🌵❣️
I live in Houston (Harris County, 3rd biggest county in the nation I believe) and have for over 20 years. Unfortunately, I’ve had firsthand experience with this; in lieu of “attempted murder,” prosecutors will charge the defendants w agg assault w a deadly weapon (second degree felony). In 2019, I was one of two victims in a case like this…we were stunned when he was not charged w attempted murder but it just doesn’t happen here in Texas. Prosecutors won’t do it.
Uh, who goes around kidnapping random people for no apparent reason? I’m not diagnosing Nancy but … that lady is batsh*t crazy. I hate to think what would have happened to the poor kidnapped girl if Nancy wasn’t so preoccupied with dinner.
I did find it as intriguing as a "kidnapped delayed dinner." ;D Sadly, those types of parents are out there where they have no fulfilling or separate interests or passions of their own, so they make their children's lives their life mission to control.... poor children! Super great video, Dr. Grande!! ♡
I've been pondering a very serious aspect of this channel for a while. Does Dr. Grande wear Crocs? I've reviewed the clues, but they do not steer me either way. On the one hand Dr. Grande is very well dressed and groomed, which leads me to a resounding "No", but on the other hand I can see Dr. Grande being a practical person who could appreciate both the utility and comfort of Crocs. This is quite a mysterious case. I'm hoping the good doctor can weigh in.
I think he’s in shorts and flip flops under that desk but I could be so wrong. And now I want to know the truth. Never even thought about this before now it’s gonna bug me 😆
Is there a stalker school somewhere I can go to,or is it OJT only? Great stuff Dr Grande. I know this is a true story, nobody can make this stuff up. Appreciate your humor.
Dr Grande, you should make a video analyzing the mental health of Anna Anderson, the woman who pretended to be the escaped daughter of the last czar, Anastasia. Or even just a general video about the numerous imposters who pretended to be any of the Romanov children. I think that would very interesting!
Your delivery of this presentation was impeccable! I love your use of humor! I had never heard of this case before, but your analysis of what happened was perfect! Have a great day, Dr Grande!
It would be interesting to know what Nancy's high school experience was like. That she identified her daughter's rejection to the team as "bullying" is what struck me.
I would have hoped that sentencing might have included enough time (and therapy) to eliminate this individual being a danger to whatever community in which she eventually settles.
Thank you for another very interesting and utterly hilarious analysis. Nancy was clearly bat guano nuts, and your ability to keep a straight face while describing her bizarro behavior is indicative of a man with nerves of steel. I had to stop the video to collect myself on several occasions. :-)
One of the key elements in life is the doing of justice and concern for those who suffer injustice. In this case, there was more emphasis on justice to the salmon dinner than to justice for the ones that Nancy said she really cared about. In this case, the optical lens was turned inward rather than outward, and the perverted sense of justice remained the key observation. The justice observed in this case, and the justice deserved, were on two different levels. May the Salmon Dinner forever Rest In Peace. R.I.P. !@!@!@ Your sense of *justice* in this case was profound. Too much people pleasing (trying to please their daughter). Thanks Dr. Grande 👍
Ah world, when will we value women for being past sexual? My mom felt like her life was over at 17, pregnant and married she was bereft. My sister lives vicariously thru her daughter’s glam young life, we’re not remarkable in our unhappiness. Thoughtful and productive analysis Dr. G. You, as usual, rock.
This video had my Alexa in a tizzy.😆 Thanks for another great video, Dr. Grande. I just placed an order for my travel size stalker kit. The oversized greeting card is on back order. ☮️💜👽
Congrats on 1 Million Dr. Grande. I'd like to think your humor has played a large role in your ascent to 1 MILLION subscribers. Can you please analyze Scotty Kilmer and his need to yell in the driveway?
Again, I don't usually laugh out loud to your dry, deadpan delivery of humor, but "What happened to Kyle's dinner?" caught me so off guard I couldn't help myself!
Now THIS is an excellent example of our unbiased legal system at work. She got the same sentence anyone would get, regardless of skin color, age, sex, social status, wealth, etc. Right?... right?
@0:34 , very responsible... Dr.Grande is a good crime presenter . Neutral emotions , no sensationalizing pitch , no dark background music for effect , No dramatization and no sidelining with unwanted opinion .. Very matured and evolved way of presenting crimes , much appreciated.
Of course, it's in Texas, it reminds me of the [Wanda Holloway, Pom-Pom Mom case in 1993], Maybe you could look at that case too Dr. Grande, if you haven't already. Thank you, and salute from Texas.
Talk about small town drama momma! Also, money idea, Dr. Grande’s stalker kit. Make sure it comes with a card with 1-800 mental health phone numbers to call before stalking someone…
lol. Thanks for all the laughs I got from this one, Dr.Grande! You've taken your comedy act to a whole new level with this one! 🤣 When I wasn't laughing, I was astonished. So much strange and odd behavior, it almost sounds made up! 🤯 That woman is a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic basket!!! 🧺
LD - How much does Texas have to do with this mind set? Participation in sports is the holy grail! Parents push their kids hard to excell! Living vicariously causes mental problems and the feeling of helplessness can cause over reactions! My kid must win!
@@bthomson I know a lot of parents who are way too involved with their kid's sports. Complaining they don't get enough play time, the coach is biased, screaming horrible things at the opposing team members, who are just kids, themselves. I've never heard of anything like this level of 'involvement.' I'd like to think it's just this woman, and nothing to do with Texas. They DO seem to be obsessed with their kid's achievements, though. This behavior only hurts the child, in the end, though.
I honestly can’t get enough of these videos because I love true crime, and hearing the facts in a short timeframe rather than having to watch an hour long special, or series, is much more convenient. You get right down to the facts and sum up the stories so they’re short enough to be listenable. That’s why I subscribed, and obviously also why a MILLION other people subscribed. You get millions of views per month. Go figure. 👍
That slap on the wrist sentence is absurd! Kidnapping with a deadly weapon, and sitting on the young woman's chest and choking her, then taping her mouth and leaving her in a storage facility, deserves much more jail time. As usual, I completely agree with you, Dr. Grande.
Thanks as always for the valuable information Dr. Grande , I’m headed out now to get my “ stocker emergency kit!” 😂 to think I’ve been driving around all this time with just the basic emergency car kit is frightening!! You’re truly a lifesaver! Congratulations again on the one million subs!! 🎉
Nancy: “I’ve never worn a wig!” Arresting Officers: _Confused_ Nancy: “Isn’t that what everyone declares when they’re being arrested? You know, like yelling *PARCHEESE* once you get your four pieces home.”
I so enjoy your videos: Each one is concurrently interesting, educational and entertaining . You are a master of dry humour: The pressing question of Kyle’s dinner LOL: I did not see that one coming at all!! I burst out loud with laughter. Tks so much. I appreciate the belly-laughs.
Oh Dr. G! A master as usual! "People never know when it will be necessary to become a stalker and therefore it is important to "be prepared!" (Isn't that the Boy Scout motto?) You are the master of dry wit. I absolutely love it!
One key takeaway - Nancy should've opted for delivery instead of homemade. It would've prevented Kyle's concerning, and frankly, distracting phone during the task at hand.
Thank you so much for the "stalking kit" comments! It was a great laugh. I appreciate the humor. It felt good to laugh! The snowman disguise, hilarious. 😄 I lived one town away from Kilgore, I pictured it all! Hahaha!
Dr. Grande, if you haven't already, can you please do an analysis on Thierry Tilly and his takeover of the the Vedrines family (and their estate/castle/fortune) in France? It's an unbelievable story and Tilly sounds like a very interesting case study.
It's crazy how some people go to prison for many years for nonviolent crimes. This lady does something that deserves a life sentence and does a couple years.
I agree, why was her sentence so short? As for her daughter, if I were her I'd seriously consider getting counselling and making an escape plan ready for when Nancy finally loses it completely.
Dr. Grande, I appreciate your clarifying that we should be carrying an emergency kit of stalker items in our vehicles in addition to the standard emergency kits. This is very important information as you are correct in that we never know when we will need them. 😁
You practically have to take notes to understand how Nancy got from her daughter's ex-boyfriend to kidnapping Alexa. Her kidnapping of Alexa must have been terrifying, but everything else about Nancy's behavior is hilarious. I hope someone makes a movie about this incident, with Melissa McCarthy playing Nancy.
2:30 "Everyone thought the drama was over, but they were incorrect." LOL. That sentence could become a staple of storytelling, like "It was a dark and stormy night..."
I feel like this deserves to be made into a dark comedy movie lol. Some of the events in this event are incredibly hilarious even the part about the mother running down the street screaming home invasion.
