I think I'm the only one person in the world that likes this game. Like you said, it's functional, although it had potential to be a lot better. A 2-player mode, while not movie accurate, could have been interesting.
I always thought that this game is great. Simple, short, not easy, not hard , great music, fun, great controls, movie accurate , great atmosphere. I it could better but is great for what it is. I also had it back in the days and will try recollect it soon because it's hobby now. I beat it many times on normal and always feel great. So, no you are not the only one brother. Big up and be well.
Oh I recognize that style of music anywhere! More Matt Furniss? Yes, please! It's also really cool to go back to a time when games weren't as afraid to be edgy or controversial, and refused to hold your hand. Playing games back in the 90's was a real blessing. This game looks very frantic, the only thing they should've added is a diving roll move to get away from situations where you're surrounded with flying lead.
I usually love Matt Furniss's soundtracks but this one just doesn't work for me. Some of the tracks (notably the title) are far too jaunty for the source material and sound like they could have been outtakes from other things, while the more atmospheric tracks are quite harsh sounding.
@@jasonlee7816 like 99 in 100 Mega-Drive games developed in Europe had Matt Furniss soundtrack using the Shaun Hollingworth driver.... which is usually shown as "Krisalis" like in this game. Usually Shaun Hollingworth is credited of doing music for the Mega-Drive games but in reality he just wrote the music driver.
Haha, I get the feeling that the composer of the soundtrack for this game had never watched any of the Predator movies or listened to any of the music from those films.
Always made it to the last level, but I always died and I never got a chance to see what the endgame was once you beat it thank you for making this video
one of my favorite games on the genesis. Sounds and music were pretty cool, except for the music on the predator ship - that sounded like nails on a chalkboard lol.
I remember playing this a lot on my Mega Drive not bad but could of been better. I do hope someone with great talent hacks this game with some hack mod Predator 2 for Sega MD / Gen could be so much better. Some ideas I have if I could hack this game is maybe Add a 2 player mode , get rid of the saving Hostages make just one or 2 levels about rescuing hostages , focus more on a Action run and gun game , each level stage having gangs from different areas that you have battle and after 2 level stage you encounter the predator or even during mid stages , also at the end of every level stage you can modifier your weapons and armour or in game shop which you can spend the money or drugs you pick up from each level. I’m surprise no has hack mod this game
What system are you playing this on? I've been trying to find this game or a sega all in one console that has this game built in. A point in the right direction would be great!
Looks like a pretty shit representation of the movie, but some of its amusing. The goofy ass music in the first stage is totally inappropriate, but Sound FX are cool. It's fun to see how they tried to make the subway and rooftop levels, but jesus they recycled the "streets" level three times, cmon hahha. Having hostages in the pred ship is hilarious tho. The Final boss Predator doesnt seem to animate in any direction other than up an down, even the regular normal bullshit predators dont do that. This was probably some other game that they spent 5 minutes putting Predator shit into it haha. Thanks for showing it off though! I dont think I even knew it existed. The one actually cool idea in the game is to have the Predator's targeting try to waste innocents. That was a clever idea even if it goes against the ethos of the Predator's code.
