That's not a bicycle anymore, it's a full-on motorcycle. Very cool. I went the other way with it, and built up a 48cc 2-stroke, pushing 11:1 compression. I put it on a rigid frame with skinny tires, and it has absolutely no problem accelerating up to 40mph!
Nice job! It's a non-hemi motor, that's why its easier to put electric start on it. Although, you can put electric start on the hemi motor. You just need the right flywheel. Do a search on Amazon for Kohler: 17-025-30-S, and your good to go. These fit like a glove.
Awesome!! Finally a motor that *belongs* in a stretch frame. The 2-smokers look silly, the Huasheng 4 strokes are better but *that* engine is where it needs to be. PS- A bigger tank would look great, 1.3gal Whizzer
electric start? headlight? turn signal? 212 Predator motor?don't need registration? Don't need insurance? its a perfect bike if there are front and rear disc brakes, awesome man.
btw,, a 212 def does need registered. most states say 50cc+, 1.5hp+, 20mph+ is a moped, scooter or motorcycle. bet this thing hauls! an 8hp/198cc on my minibike with 52T sprocket breaks your neck up to 25mph in like 2 seconds :D
did you remove governer? what size drive and driven sprockets are you using? average speed and mpg? just curious lol I just got a 212 and wanna put it on a bike.
In Michigan, we can go up to 100cc and no pedals are required. Although this is a 212, and if they wanted to take the time, to dis assemble my engine to measure the displacement, then yes, I might get a ticket. But it's worth it. This bike went on to be totally rebuilt with working pedals. This is a older video, that bike is sold and gone.
I installed 2 coils and wired them together. Gives about 14 volts and 4-5 amps when you're riding. If you have leds that's more than enough to power it all and charge the battery
MrFlyingdonut I bought mine last year. But that's still no guarantee that it wasn't from old stock they finally got sold, but, yes, my engine was purchased 2016
it that a custom mount plate or a standard 212 one?just curious because im getting a honda clone with eletrict start engine thats the same size as the preddy 212
Blurider , it's an electric start kit for the Honda gx200. Predator is a clone so many of the parts bolt right up, including the e start kit. it's only about $85 on eBay.
