I have the same engine set up, could you tell me what carb and jet you run? I know its all dependent on different factors, but I am trying to get an idea of what others are running.

Good idea! Very poor execution! Try using a small brushless motor with a thin profile and fix it so the shaft directly coupled to the small gear with a cover that covers everything so that you don’t have a hole in the gear case.

How does the caliper bracket reach the disc?shouldn't the peddle freewheel go on first then the disc ? And what size bit and tools do I need to do this project thanks
Hi Shaun. There's a 6 hole spacer that's included in with the rest of the hardware. It spaces the rotor away from the chain sprocket. But also , there's a New version of my hub that has the rotor mount on the other side as well.
@@djwillk ya that's what I was talking about putting the disc on the pedal side but how disc the caliper reach the disc should the sprocket go on first then the disc will be closer to the frame so a caliper bracket will reach ?I see the new thread extension but I don't think I'll have enough clearance for that so I want to drill holes like you did in video
I'm not sure why the online store is still showing up. I deleted it years ago. It's a WIX store and hasn't been active since about 2018. Lighting kits aren't made any more. Can't get reliable vendors for the parts and the company that made my generators went out of business
I just use The light line (it is the secondary winding on the coil probably) so it gives 3-30Volts of alternating curent depending on RPMs, so i just use rectifier, kondensator and voltage stabilizer from china that is rated for 5-35V and gives stable 12v max 3A, this is so much better even if it doesn't light at idle, because you wouldn't have a hole in your side cover.
Make 10 thousand of them ! And sell them for 10 times your cost. Like $321.00 or sumtin. Everyone is waiting for one, at any cost. You could also build a 6 coil, although larger, it will make more current for charging and running lights.
Neat installation, But please don't take this the wrong way: Why don't you mount the alltenator ABOVE the motor mount? That belt is hanging out in the wind, and that alltenator is directly behind the front wheels splatter in any wet weather. Won't it interfere with the peddles? Great idea, "China Doll" engine bikes can use a electric system. Again very nice work.
