Predator "Bad to the Bone" CB Antenna Review!

I hadn't seen many reviews about this particular version of the predator 10k so I made my own here. Really like this antenna so far and I highly recommend it! It definitely has an edge over a Firestick of the same length mounted the same way. The coil is a bit soft in my opinion but it's easly bent back into shape if it gets hit by something. I run it with a 2 pill (120ish watts) and am very happy with it's performance on the highways and in town. I paid around $130 for it about 6 months ago.

🤣 I should build a portable truck grounding system. Like a big cable that connects to the frame with a giant clamp on the end that could easily deploy and hook up to stuff like that!

@@ScuffedRadio receiver hitch and a 2/0 cable 8 ft long but if your bumper doesn't have a rubber guard on it just nose into it. That works big time.

Hey brother. Im running a 102 whip on my tahoe mid roof but pulled back with a fishing wire. I love it but how would you compare mine to that predator or even the bitch stick? Your honest opinion. Waving at you from NW, GA. Roadblock 73

I've never actually ran a 102" whip so I have no frame of reference. But I will be getting a 102 soon and doing a test on the suburban and then I can make a comparison and let you know.

The 102 whip is 1/4 wave and directional. The predator is Omni direction. I prefer Omni because you can't always point where you need to. In a locked signal the whip will smoke the predator but the predator will take it Omni direction. Hopefully this helps. If you do shoot outs get the whip. Just to talk the predator or Wilson 1000 up.

@@gregoryb2999 Both the predator and the 102 are omni directional, in fact ANY vertical style antenna is omni directional. IDK where you heard that the 102" was directional but the only way to get directional is to have an array like a yagi or quad or something like that. A vertical rod will always be omni directional regardless of if it has a coil or not.

@@olivertaylor8788 figured as much. I will be getting one soon and trying that out on the suburban. But I know I'm going to be over the 13.5ft limit and will start hitting stuff.

This one sucks compared to the original. The original had a 6 wrap coil and a tall stinger, this bad to the bone has almost 8 wraps and a shorter.stinger. alot higher coil loss and less efficient with the short stinger as well. The original would smoke this one. Kale is a fool for screwing around with this and stopping the original.

102 will have a slight edge for shure. Its hilarious how a $20 102" whip is now $120 or more shipped. The cb market is on drugs lol
